question: has anyone tried 70 class body with class 50 head.......I really like Cho, but would like him to be bigger....

 

Hello folks, I just received my Jade and Nebel heads (purchased during the sale event) and they both look amazing. Can't wait to face them up.


The only thing I'm concerned about is the eye socket. Since I'm still kinda new to this hobby, I'm wondering do all dolls' eye sockets have tiny cracks like this?

 

Just wanted to share my 4 year old boy (I love how their cards show their exact date they were made on) He been in his box waiting for a body which still haven't happened! I'm looking at bodies now and still haven't decided if one would work or not since neck sizing. I keep leaning towards a ring doll body since they look really nice. He's still a white but a more off white now due to age. In general really haven't aged too much and I'm glad for! The sculpt is really beautiful!

@Kurtssingh I just looked at my boy and I want to say its normal since he also has the chip looking look in the eye sockets

Im not sure I understand looking at the pictures?
Im not seeing the cracking, but I do see some resin residue, like seamlines or mold release I think?

Its been quite some time since you posted, did your guys get their faceups done? I would love to see what you did with them

I remember seeing an IOS head on a Dollstown 18 boy and it looked nice, the proportions and the neck size

 

@GreenTeaSlug Yes it's some sort of mold release. I asked some of my friends and they suggested me to just ignore it and I did so.

Hey guys! I was in the previous threads then disappeared now I'm back. Haha I'm having a real hard time trying to love the body problems with their bodies, but I love there sculpts was their torsos so much...

 

Does IOS still sell the thick neck version of their class80 body? I saw the comparison picture between it and the slender neck, but don't see an option to buy it on the body page.

@Cloudedmind I think its an error to not include it on the new website, I would contact them about it

I remember seeing the slender and thick neck options when I was looking at that body on their old website, I even double checked using the wayback machine and the option was there. I dont think they removed that option, I think maybe when they made their new website, they just forgot to include it

I'm sure I've missed it, but I cannot find the discussion thread for this company. Wanted to know if anyone is interested/getting the new Gankutsuou Count character doll.

 

The discussion will probably be in the IOS thread, since the Gankutsuou release is a collaboration between the dealer and Immortality of Soul.

 

So is anyone interested in or perhaps hoping to get The Count from Gankutsuou? I was directed her for discussion since this doll is a collab between IOS and Dolk.

He is gorgeous and I loved the anime, but he is not for me.

 

@PennyForTheGuy I really like that show, but the doll sadly isn't my esthetic despite my fondness of vampires. Are you thinking of getting him?

 

His sculpt is nice but i don't like how his beard is part of the sculpt lol.

 

@Pooki I feel like after they tackled the beard for Dr. Strange they decided sculpted was easier.

 

I am planning to, though cant actually make the purchase till later. Gankutsuou is mine and my husband's favorite anime. He was actually the one who said 'Get him!'. Surprisingly really because he isn't fond of my other dolls but the Count is exception apparently. I just hope he isn't sold out before I can get him.

 

I'd love to see them do a Franz, Albert or Peppo but it seems unlikely. The Count looks fantastic anyway!

 

I'd like to see them do Haydee in her white opera dress but like you not hopeful.

 

@Pooki I feel the same way, I feel it looks a bit weird even though everything about him is aesthetically what I like in a doll, its that sculpted beard that I cant get over.

I just asked about him, since I really want one of their 80 guys one day, and the head is put on hiatus because the sculptor isnt feeling the inspiration anymore. I hope the artist gets inspired again and continues, because he's very nice looking and i love that he looks a bit older - him and the beautiful muscular female body previewed a few years ago, Im very excited about that! Is anyone else interested in either of these?

@PennyForTheGuy Im not sure if BJDivas is able to get him (they are IOS's dealer) because it might be exclusively DolkUS, but it wouldnt hurt to ask? They have the best costumer service and great layaway plans, so it should work out for you? Good luck with him, its always nice when the SO shares the excitement!

 

Definitely. I think I'm going to buy him as soon as he's released. Can't have enough "old-looking" doll heads.

 

Speaking of in progress sculpts, I keep hoping for the werewolf that was teased to be finished. Maybe I’ll get lucky in 2020 for his appearance.

 

They were working on a werewolf sculpt? o.o Now can we have that? the last good werewolf sculpt i seen was from ringdoll years ago. We need one thats not limited honestly

Hello! I'm back and trying to figure out which ringdoll body would work for my IOS Jagaur head. I really am digging that new outfit they released so it might be time to get his body and outfit finally. Anyone have any experience with which body looks good with the class 70 heads aka Jaguar? I was looking at RGM Body -3 as an option but wasn't sure since it shows to have a bigger neck hole then what Jaguar has.

So any advice on this would be great! Thank you!

 

I have my Chaos on an IOS 70 class body which is very similar in size to the RGM1, they can wear the same clothes. Ringdoll heads fits on all of their bodies so the neck size doesn't vary that much. (Though the neck and heads designed for the RGM4 body is smaller.)

 

True but the question is but can the IOS class 70 head fit nicely on the body. Thats what I'm asking or am I going have to sand it to fit. I'm asking since I'm looking at the RGM3 body. From the ringdoll head i have. theres a huge neck size difference so which is why I'm concerned

The string I used to measure the IOS neck is the same length that measured the RGM3 neck.

Hi all, I just found out that IOS will change their sales pattern starting from March: The I.O.S. order will be changed in March 2020.Notice - I.O.S
If I understand correctly the sales pattern is very similar to SOOM.
I wish I should order 2 heads before this new system, now I have to wait for the opening of each month to see if the boy is the one I want.

 

Aw man....that really sucks....gonna be a huge pain to get my valentine now. I mean i wont be getting him for a few years, but still. Might just find a different sculpt so i dont have to deal with it.

I was looking at their ins, assuming they will list a new Sezz soon. Sezz has always been their no.1 popular guy.

 

Rkght? Ive only ever seen one other valentine before so itll probly be a long time before they offer him. Im just gonna find a different sculpt. Its just not worth the hassle. I hope you can get your sezz soon! Does he show up here or insta often?

 

haha ,Sezz is not the boy I am after. He is handsome and very flexible with styling though, you can find a lot of sharing on ins. I am after Blue and Shadow. I assume Blue is also popular but not so much as Sezz, hope he can be listed soon. I have already found one new Blue head on a second hand trading platform, I manage to get him next month. I can't speak for Shadow though.... maybe all I can do is to wait....

I am new to this thread. And I just lost a long and hard fight. My guys are mostly 70 cm. So I tried for about half a year to convince myself that a 10 cm taller guy just does not work and I could put the head onto a shorter body. My husband was no help, he said he would look bobbleheaded and I should go with a perfectly matching body.

Alas, I lost. After lots of research and comparisons, I came to the conclusion that the devil can be nothing but perfect. And of course he deserves to be taller than anybody else. So I gave in and pre-ordered with Ocarine Dolls, at the very worst moment possible, a class 80 Jade plus body in natural skin. If only I knew how to replicate his company faceup with a tad shorter beard...he will be perfect.

 

@Ipledreamer Welcome to the class 80 club! Hope you'll complete your order in time. =) IOS just changed their sales system to 'limited" and it seems that all the old models are unavailable to purchase on the official website at the moment: I.O.S. order will be changed in March 2020.Notice - I.O.S

I think a dealer can handle this better than myself, who is completely new to the IOS ordering method (although I have been eyeing these guys for quite some time. I really like Lacrimosa, and the infamous Infernale is also soo delicious. Oh well, and Bel Canto. Still have a supersoft spot for him.).

They already sent me my order confirmation. So it should all be good. And I am okay even if it takes 6 months or longer.

 

Hi, does anyone know about IOS's layaway plan? I saw a button on their check out page, but cannot find any notes about how they set it up.

 

What I did in the past was that once I placed the order, I will send the the first installment via paypal. They have their paypal account somewhere on the website. Then I will post a thread in their forum about the installment. I don't know if they changed the payment method, you can leave a question in their QA.

He really is! seems like a bunch of times i go "who is that sculpt, that looks so good..." lo & behold, it's Sezz... he is really versatile indeed! i have a couple of other good "actors" - but i love the class 70 body and i've already got Chaos & Jag so.... hello Sezz...
i sent ios an email since i don't know how many months i can ask for, to know what to pay up front. i wonder if they prefer the forum though.
i love your work by the way, and your boys always look so good, very inspirational i am still learning so much...

I really like him in Tan skin (tan skin is my complex......) and new brown skin is even better. Also, IOS must have improved Sezz's sculpting, the new version looks more mature. But I am not sure if the new brown skin can go with a tan body as class 70 body for me is bit small. But IOS body is really good for pose and very stable!

^^^ I guess we will have to see how the new soft brown looks, to compare around, it is a really nice colour!

i saw they have a survey now, to vote for which other heads to have available when they open sales in June for the new sculpts...

Man I needed a taurus head in black resin and with the new system who knows when I'll be able to get it it's not like it's a popular enough head to get many votes.

I just remembered I have a Sezz head sitting in a box for about 2 years I think! I had to have it when it became available again and then I did nothing with it.....

 

So far I have a Mezz and will be ordering a Sezz this week. They make such beautiful sculpts, their faces have so much expression!

 

agreed! IOS boys are very charming! Their recent new sculpts and upcoming new release are showing new styles from them, more real person like sculpts?
I am seriously considering getting Sezz, haven't made up my mind yet.... 4 more days, Sezz will be off the list....
