Mikki, I will be stalking this thread to see a picture of your Byul, too! I wound up selling mine because, at the time, her proportions were so out of scale with my other dolls that I just couldn't find mental space for her (if that makes any sense at all). But now that I've acquired two EID guys, I can't help thinking about her, and wondering how one of Andro's gorgeous Amazons would look next to the EIDs. (Also how EID Woman clothes might fit the I-Doll body, come to think of it.) Hmmmm, I guess I ought to post a Photo Request thread for that, huh?
Thanks for reviving this thread! Chizzie, I hope you can contact Andro and that he's still making dolls. Last I heard, two or three years ago, he was working on a male doll. There were some gorgeous teaser pics at his site. Cynthia, I think I-dolls might be too slender for EID clothes, but possibly SID? Some Arnoah spam to keep us going:
Home, and in luck, its not chucking it down or blowing a gale - so here she is - Marianne! She's delighted to be getting some attention. Thank you again Chizzie, goodness know how long she would have languished in her box without you, and I've had such fun this afternoon Alewife - Arnoah looks lovely there lying under her sunshade Thanks Cynthia - Hope you like her
Ohhhhh, Marianne is so lovely and natural--she looks like a real girl, maybe a little shy, trying to decide whether or not to say what's on her mind. And Alewife, that is a fantastic pose for a dreamy bikini figure!
Marianne is so beautiful. I wish I'd bought Byul when I had the chance! Thanks, Cynthia, I hope she remembered her sunblock.
chizzie_shark, it is so great that you revive this tread! I wish were whould be more beautiful i-doll photos, and a lot of talk too And hope you can reestablich connection with Andro, for i-doll site looks really abandoned, I either can't login with my old credentials. Not sure it helps, but you can try contact him by [email protected]. mikki, Marianne is so touching and gentle. Please, take more photos of her! She is so lovely, not to lay forgotten in a box. Alewife, such a summer look ^^ And old photo of my Tais, for now I'm on house-moving and can't take a new one.
Oops, I didn't realise there were replies because I forgot to subscribe to this thread XD Yay, so much IDoll spam! Thanks for sharing everyone! Please keep it coming! No luck with Andro...but not all hope is lost (yet). I will try again.
Chizzie_shark, I hope you can track him down. And I hope he hasn't retired from doll-making! My poor girl hasn't been out of her box for months. I think it's time for a photo shoot.
Hello everyone, popping back in to revive this thread! (It's like an annual thing now, haha.) How are you all and your girls?
Yay, annual thread revival! My poor Arnoah has been in her box for a year. I ought to bring her out for some long-overdue photos. Every now and then I google Andro and I-Doll Studio to see if he ever came back, but I've never found anything.
chizzie_shark, and it's great! Nice to see this tread updated at least annually. I'm too lazy to take pics often, so Tais also thanks you for the occasion Hope you guys also share some photos of your girls...
Yay, photos! Thank you trollenok for sharing your lovely girl. I have officially begun my quest for a I-Doll girl, so photo spammage would go a long way to easing my pain. (Not to mention we don't want these lovelies to be forgotten!)
Let me know if you find a secret, hidden nest of I-Doll girls! I always wanted to get Byul, but I procrastinated too long and missed my chance. Here's an older picture of Arnoah, on a bad hair day.
I love your thinking chizzie_shark, Happy Anniversary to us all Here's Marianne to join in the celebrations trollenok - Tais is really beautiful, I love her look Alewife - it's lovely to see your Arnoah again, she is stunning
Alewife, mikki, thanks for sharing your girls, they both are so lovely chizzie_shark, wish you luck in your quest! Maybe this sounds selfish, but I'll hope to see your photos of i-doll girl someday.
Thank you trollenok! Haha not selfish at all, if I ever get my hands on I-Doll girl you can be sure I will be posting photos
Popping in to let everyone know some good news - I'm getting an Arnoah! I can't wait for her to come home, it's kind of hard to believe this is happening after all those years of searching
Oh Wow Congrats ! chizzie_shark Byul was on my wishlist like forever I gave up hope on finding her but I'm happy for you. I love all your girls please keep posting
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well and that you had a happy New Year! Just thought I'd share a photo of my Arnoah, who I've finally finished - well, not quite, because I haven't cleaned and blushed her hands. But at least her faceup is done ^_^ Nameless girl by chizzie_shark, on Flickr More photos of her can be found on my Flickr. She doesn't have a name yet...any suggestions?
chizzie_shark, she's lovely. Her coloring is so nice and soft. I'm the wrong one to ask for names. I still haven't named my own Arnoah!
She is so lovely! I always love delicate and pure look of your girls And about name, should it be medieval or modern, or from some certain culture? Anyway, there are several names that comes to my mind: Celesta, Selena, Runa, Aurika, Amarantha.
This thread hasn't been posted in for quite a while! Here, have some photos of my Arnoah, Osmanthus (yes, I named her - all of my Asian girls have flower names): Unimpressed by Sharon, on Flickr Punk's not dead by Sharon, on Flickr Oriental flowers I by Sharon, on Flickr Oriental flowers II by Sharon, on Flickr
NSFW image below Marianne, my Byul, has always been a bit difficult to pose as she wants to lean backwards all the time. I'm about to restring, wire and glue suede her. I'm a bit gobsmacked by the spaghetti junction of stringing inside her lower torso, looking down from the waist joint. Photo below. I bought her new directly from Idoll, so this is how she came from them. Are your Idoll girls like that? I can't help feeling that more standard stringing would sort her back bending problem. And do your girls have the two metal bars running front to back in the lower torso, that the leg strings are wrapped around? Do you have any problems with the waist joint? Thanks everyone.
mikki, I have the same stringing on both of my idolls, but for me poseability looks fine. So I always restring them in this way but with heavy gluing.
OK thanks guys, well its good to know my girl wasn't just someone having a bad day, LOL I'll have a bit of a think what to do....
I didn't know about this thread) So I'm check in here now with my girl) This is very old photo and now my girl look different. I'll post here photo with her new look too) a little bit later.
Thanks for keeping this thread going Reesha. Your girl is really beautiful and I love the clothes you've chosen for her. Poor Marianne has caught one of those wretched summer colds - Atishoo!!
Aw, the poor thing, she looks very unhappy! I hope she feels better soon. Thanks so much for sharing photos.
I catch a cold recently so as a bonus I have a little time for dolls. Even if you're not feeling well it's nice to have a break So quick photo of Tais with new eyes: She's not as good on photos as in life but I still love her.
Haven't been to this thread in a while, but it's so good to see some new photos here! Anyone have new shots of their girls lately?
I haven't visited this thread for so long! It's great to see a few new photos. Reesha your girl is adorable! I especially love that outdoor photo of her sitting with her books. Trollenok, your Tais is so beautiful and her new eyes really suit her. Hi chizzie_shark, you are very good to keep reminding us of this thread. Since she last came to visit you here, Marianne, my Byul, has met a certain special someone - his name is Sebastian and he is a Spiritdoll Abies. MarianneSebastian1 And here she is gossiping with her best friend Frankie at a party.
I rarely visiting this thread, but really happy to see that these girls are still loved and cherished @mikki, sorry for the late reply, but Marianne and Sebastian look so nice together! They fit each other so perfectly. @Reesha, I want to said once again that I love your Leta Hope you'll return with her someday. And Tais whom I've took out of the closet at last want to say hello. After all this years I still believe that she is perfect.
@trollenok Thank you for sharing your beautiful photo of Tais, she is perfect indeed and I'm delighted to see her. Thanks very much for your kind comment about Marianne and Sebastian, both are very dear to my heart. They both have roles in my story series, which is in the Gallery - Photostories, if you would like to see them there. Here is a link to Episode 1: /threads/tongue-and-groove-ep-1-a-new-beginning-i-doll-byul-ih-cocori.750578/ It makes me happy to see updates on this thread, as our I-Doll girls are so wonderful and we are lucky to have them to live with us and enjoy sharing with each other.
@mikki I don't know how I missed your photo before. Your Marianne is so soft and lovely. Byul is one of my favorite sculpts. @trollenok Tais looks very happy to be out of the closet, and she is indeed perfect. I took my Arnoah out of the closet recently too, and wiped her old faceup which I did not like. It had been so long since I looked at her, I'd forgotten how beautiful these sculpts are. I've always wondered whether Andro kept on working, maybe for another company.
Long time visit and post in this thread! The new photos are great - I love this little IDS community we've built My fave thing about the IDS girls is their realistic bodies for sure. @Alewife: Yeah, I wonder what did happen to Andro. I hope he/she ended up OK...
It looks like I totally miss previous updates of this thread, how could I! @mikki, @Alewife, I'm so sorry for not answering you! And many thanks for your kind words, even if these thanks are so postponed. Also what about your girls, how are they doing? @chizzie_shark, it's really interesting question about Andro. As I remember he has some connections with Dollstown, and sometimes I'm thinking about asking them.
Wasn't Andro supposedly working on a boy doll before Idoll disappeared? I would have loved to see that such a shame.
@Reesha , love your girls! @Sillypeach, yes, he did. But I'm not sure if he really finished, there was only work in progress.
