It's good to see others in my age group or older in the hobby I'm 58 never had dolls as a kid and always wanted one. I started in the hobby about 4 years ago. I have 10 bid's now and 2 on layaway. Definitely addicted! lol! I have mostly Fairyland dolls and am now diversifying lol!
I think my first doll was when I was 18. It was a while back and thankfully I had enough saved. I couldn't believe my mother was supportive too.
Just turned 29. 10 BJD collected since 2016 when I started to let my love for dolls public. Started with Luts Always looking for the perfect dolls for my characters.
Currently 22, though it changes every year. :P I used to collect dolls and do a lot of custom face-ups for people in around 2012-2014, but had a break for some years because of college. I'm slowly getting back to the hobby, though!
19 that just turned 20 this February! Ive been in the hobby since I was 17 and I was able to fund my own hobby by being a freelance digital artist, Im very grateful to enjoy such an amazing dolls!
I love that this hobby has such a wide variety of ages involved. I'm 26, got my first doll last year(25), though I've wanted one since I was 13 and first learned about them.
I'm 24 and got into the hobby perhaps a year or two ago? I was into BJD for a little while before ever owning one and have only just started to consider myself 'in' the community.
WOW I think I'm actually like THE youngest, because I turned 15 on March. Good to see a variety of age groups coming together with one hobby Yes, I am 15 and getting my first Bjd probably in May. Wow I've never felt so young in my life haha
Just turned 29, I got my first doll at 18 so I’ve been in the hobby for 11years. I’m so surprised to see so many people around my age who’ve been in the hobby just as long.
I'm 58, worked hard most of my life. Wife, Mother and now finally Nana and love spending on my BJD addiction. I consider myself very lucky. Hopefully my grand daughter will love dolls as much as I do.
I just turned 28 and bought my very first bjd (Supia Hamin) a couple of weeks ago! I've been admiring these dolls from afar since I was a teenager, but never had the courage (and money..) to buy one. Guess I'm finally old enough lol.
I turned 26 this year, but have been in to BJD since I was around 14. I had some obitsu and smaller/cheaper dolls around then but just recently am in a place where I can afford resin dolls. I have my first mini doll and two larger heads, while waiting for some others on layaway. I am so stoked I can really be part of this other than with just MH faceups and customizing I had done the last few years.
Nearly 40 and have been collecting dolls for over a decade (as an adult. Also loved dolls as a child )
I'm 31 but my first doll was in a box about 3 years. I bought her when I was pregnant with my first child. Now I have two. I wish to have more time for myself and my hobby so I can truly spend some time with my doll but my kids are grumpy sometimes
I'm 23. My first doll was about 4 years ago. I left the hobby to focus on school and work and I've only recently gotten back into it after getting a relatively decently paying job.
I'm 36, 37 in august! Pleased to see many collectors over 40 and 60! I expect to rise that age with the same passion for BJD dolls like when I started in the hobby 12 years ago!
I am 36 years old. I always love dolls, and still have some off topic fashion dolls. I joined the hobby four years ago, had my first bjd two years ago, and my second (and actually the only one I own yet) came home in 2018 october (head), and december (body).
I'll be 65 in August. I like to think of BJD doll collecting as a passion rather than a 'hobby'. So far I have, Carina 1/3 BJD Doll, Soom Dia - Lord of Jotunheim 1/3 BJD Doll and Hujoo Jake, (Whom I'll attempt to do a Face-Up on). So good to see such a diversity of people here. We all can share the same love and passion for dolls...Especially our beloved BJD dolls!
I'm 25, soon to be 26 this year! I joined the hobby about 4 years ago and then took a break. Just recently getting back to buying dolls again
31. I like the fact that I can spend my money on things I enjoy after I finish doing all my adult stuff. It's great to get home and just work on my dolls whenever I want. Living alone is great. ;w;
24 here! Got my first doll when I was 20 as a gift. I've wanted one since I was 12 but obviously couldn't afford it.
I'm 31 and my first doll appeared 10 years ago by the way, my love for the hobby is growing every year
31, but originally got in the hobby in my early twenties. Unfortunately I had a hard time getting my feet under me and had to sell all my dolls. 6 years later and I dove back in head first.
