Earliest photo I have in my Flickr. Shot on: 9 May 2010 With a: Fujifilm Finepix J27 point-and-shoot, (badly) edited in Picnik. Latest photo. Shot on: 19 May 2012 With a: Canon EOS 60D, unedited.
Sadly I don't have my old photo's but I can show the first photo I took of my new little girl and the most recent. Old Recent I can see a bit of improvement, especially with positioning the doll to look more alive.
My oldest photo was about the beggining of this year so will be a rough 6 Month difference as my newest was taken only this month :P Camera Used: Canon Ixus55 Oldest: Very first photo took of him but wouldn't of dreamed of putting it up for others to see :P Lol first proper photo i took of him that i would show to people, also he had a black wig on in this Newest: (Taken with the same camera) Newest one yet :P
This is such an exciting thread. I honestly don't think I have improved that much, I which I had come further on my photography road. The newest picture is not edited, I was just lucky with my camera. The oldest one is edited slightly. This photo was taken on April 2, 2012 using a Sony NEX-5. I've done all my photos with the same camera, a Nikon CoolpixP80. Feb. 8 2010 June 3 2012 (Yes, it's the same bjd XยฐD)

OK I'll paly. Oldest that is still here is Shigure a Dollstown Hue. First pics I took of him were over 4 years ago and with a basic point & shoot digital that was a hand me down from hubby. He switched bodies with another DT boy soon after this so it's rare to see him with his first body. Newest, well he is new to me, although many others have come since. But he is only one who has been outside. This is Renji my Pale Tan Dollshe Saint. This pic was taken after I got my new camera a Canon DSLR Rebel Ts3i. I have learned to go with flow of pics, that sometimes one can show a part of a doll and convey a feeling or a thought. I have high hopes my photos will get better as DH retired and we can travel now with no limits on time of year or if he can get time off.
Since I have just gotten a DSLR, here's another comparison! Date Taken: 24.08.2008 Camera Model: Sony DSC-T50 Doll Model: Dollzone Mo The most awesome picture ever!! ( aka. The horror of one of my first shots of my first ever doll.) Date Taken: 24.06.12 (Today) Camera Model: Nikon D90 Doll Model: MNF Karsh

Both pics were taken with the same point and shoot camera. Hopefully one day I can get a more awesome camera. ; A; One of my Oldest: 'o9 One of my Newest: '12
Oldest one: Taken on 24 May 2011 with a Canon camera. It had 7 megapixels. Newest one: Taken on 8 August 2012 with a Canon camera. It has 16 megapixels. I improved a lot. I learned how to work with different layers and started to use brighter colours. They make the pictures look much happier.
One of my very first, somewhere around october 2010: And one of my last a few days ago. The only thing that remained the same is the font for the tag. New camera and finally purchased Photoshop hehe ^_^
This is my very very first official BJD photo. It was taken in 2008 with a Canon AE-1 35mm SLR on Fujifilm 800 film. The doll is a Latidoll LE Aida This is one of my most recent photos. It was taken with a Canon Rebel XS DSLR with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. The doll is a Zaoll Dreaming Luv. I'm just gonna let those speak for themselves.
Ahahahaha, omg. My photo skills have come so far, and so has Abishai! First pic of Shai ever: And from his most recent photoshoot, which was admittedly last year: Yeah. I've... learned a few things.
Same character, different sculpts. 2011. Shot with a Lumix point-and-shoot (model TZ1) 2012, about 2 months ago. Shot with a Lumix GF1 4/3 DSLR with an Olympus 10 lens. (35mm?) Neither photos were edited. ^_^
oh goodness. i have always loved photography but when i first got starla i was awful at taking pictures of her! i didn't know the best way to edit them or how to capture her in the right light. it's only been a few months but i think i've come a LONG way. from starla's first photoshoot and her most recent starla's changed a lot too! she almost looks like a different doll.
This is such a great thread Oldest ●Description: The oldest photo on my Flickr photostream is of my very first BJD. At first I wasn't very interested in photography since I wanted to use my BJD mostly for posing references for my illustrations. ●Camera: Olympus C750UZ (point and shoot camera) ●Date: May 28, 2008 38 by ***Andreja***, on Flickr Oldest 2 ●Description: This was taken after I got my new camera (dslr). A full year has gone by since the photo above and there was no improvement whatsoever. At that time I was more interested in learning how to paint faceups than anything else. ●Camera: Nikon D90 with default kit lens ●Date: April 4, 2009 Bye bye faceup by ***Andreja***, on Flickr Newest ●Description: another 3 years have gone by, and somewhere along the road I have fallen in love with photography I hope this passion will help me to improve further. ●Camera: Nikon D90 with Sigma 50mm macro lens ●Date: Sept 8, 2012 Tara Redhead [700px] by ***Andreja***, on Flickr
I haven't been taking photos of him for very long. But you can see the difference it makes when you know what your cameras strong points/weaknesses are. Both taken with the same point&shoot vivitar x225 May 2012 September 2012 Not as amazing as some of you guys, but I feel I've made progress
My earliest doll photos happened to have both bxw and color photos, so I'll just include both ^^ Left is the old photo and right is the new one. Old Date: 24 August 2009 Camera: Canon 450D, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens New Date: 3 October 2012 Camera: Canon 5Dmkii, Canon 50mm f/1.8
Just wanted to re-do that. First photo, taken with a Sony DSC-S500, edited with...MS Paint. Taken August 2008. Most recent ones, taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and a 100mm 2.8 L Macro lens, edited with Photoshop CS3. Taken September/October 2012.

Okay, sooo! December 2009. Lorelei had just arrived. I had a cheap Olympus FE310, it was bad as hell, so were my photography skills. SORRY FOR THE EYESORE!! T^T OMGWHITEBALANCEFLASHBADFOCUS *facepalm* Look at the picture on the right! The lamp in the background is more in focus than the doll herself! xD Actually, it's really lots of fun to browse old photo folders! yeah. Now the recent one. Lorelei - lights & shadows par Le Fil Rouge Photo, sur Flickr Canon EOS 600D (T3i I think??) with 50mm 1.8, MAY 2013. When I think about it, I can't believe how I've gone a long way since 2009. At that moment I wouldn't even have considered getting a DSLR. But I've grown fond of photography (maybe even more than dolls) and... here I am now. My BJD pics are viewable. Without the viewer's eyes melting. Yay!
Wow awesome Thread! O.o It's really amazing how much some people improved in just little time. One of my first photos back in 2008 (with crappy mobile camera) and one from last week with Canon EOS 1100D
One from the week Celine arrived shot with my crappy Blackberry cell phone camera(posing in the coffin I was building for her): And one from this week shot with my new Sony Nex-5R:
Oldest August 2009 Using an HP PhotoSmart M537 Horrible faceup by me O_o (you can see my cats in the background XD) Second oldest Then I apparently didn't take any photo's for like 3 years. May 2012 Fujifilm FinePix S2700HD. A little better but the contrast is crazy o_o Newest February 2013 Canon EOS T3i I'd like to think I've gotten better.
2007, my first doll, not even out of the box yet and taken with an older point and shoot: Focus? What's that? Also, photography in general can eat my shorts. 2013 - same doll, eyes and faceup, now with added bonus of wig, clothes and baby, taken with a Canon Rebel 400D: Turns out there's these things called light, Photoshop and posing. Who knew? And I want a DSLR now because photography is a main hobby of mine.
This is the first picture I took of my first doll out of her box. It was December 2007 and the camera was a Canon Ixus 40. This is my last picture, taken earlier this week with my Nikon D40 Mari and Montana by siruveru, on Flickr I wasn't interested at all in photography when I got my first doll, which was a surprise. I'm quite amazed at how things have evolved
16th Aug 2005 (Has it been that long? O_o;; ) Photo taken with Panasonic Lumix LC33. 11th Feb 2010 Photo taken with Panasonic Lumix GF-1, 20mm f1.7 lens Seems like I only upgraded my camera and photoshop skills. ^^;;

November 2010-ish... Brace yourselves. This is definitely the worst of the worst. (Point and shoot Sony Cybershot I think) (Lol what's a hairbrush?) May 2013 Shot with DSLR Sony A290
This is a really fun thread. This isn't my oldest photo, but it is one of the first that I started to put thought into my pictures, so I figured I would start here. Started out with a Nikon Coolpix with fluorescent lighting. Taken in November 2012 Then I purchased a Nikon D3100. January 2013 And then I started to focus on posing. May 2013 And now I'm relearning Photoshop. Yesterday I still have a way to go, but I like the progress I see.
