Methos was very interested in unwrapping this mummy. Horus is amazing, no question about it. His texture and weight are fantastic. I look forward to learning how to properly pose him. Fair warning, image heavy Horus was packed in a fairly compact box for his size, and came with a wonderful padded carrying bag that could easily fit him and even a companion inside. The accessories were wrapped individually and tucked in spaces, and some within each other to support more delicate parts of the armour. On to the good stuff... my flickr Methos helps unbox the mummy... He finds a padded canvas sarcophagus.... and the Mummy! Methos: "Let's get those bandages off... " He lives! look at these elegant hands ... Methos: "careful now, you've been mostly dead all week..." Methos: "Are you feeling better now?" Horus: "Indeed, now that I may breathe..." Horus: "Are my armour and mystical guises here?" Methos: "Careful now, sitting up so soon" Horus: "AH yes, feeling more myself now" my flickr Story of Seventh Day atelier has made such a beautiful art doll with Horus. I am so pleased to have him join my pantheon. I am carefully perusing the instructions about posing, as he has very interesting engineering and I am still learning many things. The joints I felt comfortable moving for these pics were solid and easy to pose. His hands and feet are so expressive. I would love to tag this with "Story of Seventh Day" for the maker, but there is no tag yet.
That dark brown is delicious. I can't wait to pay my boy off and get home. I'm looking forward to seeing the poses he can hit, and how his armor goes on.
He's stunning! I'd have loved one for myself but I couldn't afford him. He looks so detailed! Congrats.
Omg I love how you posed your other doll for this box opening, I'm really intrigued by Methos. Story of the seventh day is amazing and I love their dolls capability for posing, although I don't own one.
@PennyForTheGuy - i can't wait to see your styling when you get him i really love his resin, it has a lot of different looks depending on the lighting. @Scincidae - thank you for the congrats i sort of slipped into the last slot of the first round or i might not have made it myself. but don't lose hope, you might have one come around at the right time @Kenoworanipit - i agree, SOSD really outdid herself. i hope i can do him justice with his outfits and accessories. @mincy - thank you for your kind words about Methos. he has a very special place in my pantheon(and heart), and loves an unboxing. Especially for a fellow deity. and, to be honest, the eagle head and blade armour dragged me in, then the studio pics of Horus on his tip toes and the curled poses sold me, then the feet and hands dug the hole deeper, and then deeper with every new picture. just no hope for me at all @Chikku - thank you for the congrats i just can't stop looking at him. I need to start a sketchbook for all these ideas
I've been hoping to see owner photos of this one. The hawk/falcon head looks impressive! Hope you'll share more when you get more comfortable with him. ^_^ Congrats!
So amazing to finally see a box opening for this guy! He looks absolutely amazing and makes for a wonderful contrast with Methos.
OH MY!! Thank you so much for sharing. I had no idea such an amazing doll even existed. Wish I had known. WOW>
This session render very good ! Lot of emotions even with blank dolls ! Congratulations for this purchase !
Omg!! This is the doll that made me truly consider getting a doll of my own! He looks even better in person than in the promo pics. I cant wait to see how he develops
@Sianserais - thank you! and i received the manual now, so i hope to work through his poses soon! i have a lot of assembly to do. some of the amour has to be strung on! I hope to get some more pictures with better lights soon too. I am looking for eyes now, but perhaps i will make some myself @bickazer - thank you, i feel so lucky to have him already, the shipping was very smooth. and i agree, Methos almost looks like alabaster next to him, like they are temple sculptures come to life. His antlers are almost like a criosphinx anyway @Bren - thank you, i'm glad to be able to share him! i found the progress development on instagram, and could not help falling head over heels. i would keep an eye out for her next one in the series too i think he will be epic as well. @Honqann - thank you, i strangely like the challenge of exactly that, showing the emotion with gestures. i am so glad they spoke well to you @_doll_ingg_ - thank you, he is really something in person, and i hope i can do him justice with better photos soon, and styling him. I hope you can get your own bjd soon to enjoy thank you for everyone's kind comments
