Haru Casting Mini Dolls

Well, good news for everyone, bad news for me, lol. I think it is just my girl. I haven't seen any other comments about it, and Haru hasn't had any other complaints about it. My girl is just fussy, I guess.

 

Maybe you could request a replacement part from Haru? I did this with Iplehouse once as my doll had a fault with her legs and they kindly replaced both of them.

 

He offered to look at her and see what he can do, but I'm reluctant to let her go so long. Not to mention shipping fees. Honestly, I'm not great at posing dolls anyway, so I think I'm just going to let it go. I won't be selling this girl anyway. I've gotten dolls like this a few times, and it really didn't bother me. Just thought I'd check.

 

Forgot to add that my order was confirmed: E-Minor and Geuru will be coming here to live. Now I just need to magically find money for Joa and Neul.

 

Have you all seen the new photos Joa and Neul on his Instagram? He posted a photo with E-minor and Joa's dark skin comparison and that is what I was hoping for. Joa's tone is exactly what I want

 

So, I'm having a major issue with my Maji (october 2018 pre-order). She pops and flops at every occassion, I move her leg slightly, her chest piece jumps out, her hip/waist joint pops out. I try sit her down her knee bends or she kicks me in the face. I have 11 dolls, and 10 years in the hobby and nothing this horrid. I restrung her and it didn't change no matter the tension.

Also, she is going a greeny shade on her front (light tan) I noticed her inner joints were a different colour when I first got her, but changing colour on one side so soon after getting her seems insane (not sat in sunlight!)

Has anyone else had these issues? She was a grail of mine, and now she is killing my love for the hobby.

@Deity89 that is really not good to hear. Have you spoken with Haru, maybe via instagram? I can't think of anything else to suggest.

I'm eagerly waiting for my E-minor. I wonder when will Haru begin making them, haven't seen anything towards that in his instagram yet.

Thank you @xaya, she's so fun to sew for and play with so you will definitely not be disappointed when you get your Eminor. I've made my girl a couple more outfits recently, she is becoming a bit spoiled!

Anyone have any idea when Haru will be casting the May orders? I was hoping to get my Maji by early Sep before i go out of the country but i get the feeling that wont happen

 

To my knowledge Haru should be able to get it done quickly. Get in contact via instagram messenger being that is where he seems to like to contact people the most on. Emails he will do only if it's a payment issue with paypal invoice, etc.

I ordered my Maji end of May and was told she'd be good to go by end of August or a little later. So not much more of a wait

 

@Kentarin D'Ley Well that's good news, I've been wondering how much more we'll need to wait. I've got some eyes and wigs around waiting for my girl. Also thought about a name for her too. Exited to see which of the clothes she'll fit that I have ready!

 

@xaya Your organised!!! I've bought a paid of shoes for her but eyes are something i always have trouble with so have procrastinated on... guess i better get a move on if i want them to turn up in time.

 

@Kentarin D'Ley Thanks, I try to be. Good luck for you and your doll! Not buying her shoes or clothes yet, hopefully she'll have something from the the things I already have. I like to choose the eyes and wigs before the doll comes but I try not to think about it too much as they tend to have their own minds about the stuff I've already bought. I'm so ready for her to come home to me!

 

You couldn’t be more right X,D I’ve planned dolls only for it to be completely wrong because they didn’t agree. I’s quite neat how that happens (not so much if you had a character in mind though I guess haha) Maji will be the 2nd MSD girl I’ve ever had.. I couldn’t bond with my first doll so she was sold. Lately I’ve been longing for MSD dolls. With such a busy life right now a smaller doll just seems more convenient and when I saw Haru’s pre-order it was the BJD gods trying to tell me something as i've always wanted Maji. I have an abundance of SD sized eyes/things but very little MSD things. Though I suppose this will change very soon.

 

Just jumped on here to see if there were any updates. I might have my E-Minor for my birthday in September. How exciting.
I have ordered a wig and eyes for my girl and she already has a roombox waiting for her and some clothing in her chest of draws. And some shoes. I am currently obsessed with my Smart Dolls (just got them) but I'm keen to get Chae Rin home. She is my grail doll and I am so stoked to have been able to order her.

 

I was really hoping for my Maji by my birthday, but it just passed and she didn't quite make it! Here's hoping we get our girls soon.

 

Happy Birthday @RainbowsHaven ! Guess Maji will be a belated gift. I'm hoping we get an update late next week as by then its early September Fingers crossed! I've been so patient but I'm getting so restless now haha

 

Oooh, apparently I picked a good time to check in on this thread - nice to see everyone's updates! Can someone remind me what size wig and eyes Maji wears? I'm guessing 6-7" and 14mm? I should prepare too!

 

Hello! I finally got my dolls on stands recently and got frustrated with how E-minor was fighting me- she refused to stand because her knee would pop forward and pull on her elastic, causing her to slouch forward at the waist. I remembered seeing this DOA post and searched for it. You definitely aren't the only one! It just took a while for me to notice because I had always sat her down with her knees flexed.

I tried unstringing her last night to see what I could do and boy was she strung tight! I don't know how it was humanly possible to get her strung that tight to begin with- I couldn't get her back that way if I'd tried.

But I noticed when I gave it slack (one end of elastic through each leg instead of doubled through both legs) her knee still kicked up except with her elastic being that loose, she wasn't able to flex her thigh and they would droop whenever I raised them. Since I couldn't get her legs strung as they originally were I tied a few extra knots in the elastic to shorten it enough to where 1. I could actually get the elastic through her legs with what little strength I have and 2. she could flex/extend her thigh without it drooping.

The bendy knee still persisted until i hot glue sueded the inside of that joint. (where her thigh and knee meets)- so far that's fixed it. I didn't try sueding any other joints.

 

Can't help with the wig size as I make my own but regarding eyes, I saw on a Insta post from Haru that they use 12mm low dome eyes (this is the size i'm going for). Though I assume 12 & 14mm would be fine.

 

Anyone else see Haru's Insta post the other day with all the Maji and E-minor doll parts? Must not be far away now. Trying to stop myself from running around the office like a headless chicken full of excitement.

 

Yesss!! And I still can't guess which is the tan skin the I ordered It'll be extra exciting to open her up!

 

I got an email from Haru asking for the second payment for my E-minor and to send it before September 6th! I’m so excited. It says we will receive them soon.

I was slightly confused- one detail he asked for me to include was “value (how much I will declare) you want” I ended up paying the friends and family option to cut back a bit on PayPal fees. For this option should I say the full price of the doll? (Sorry if this is a dumb question I’m not sure what difference it makes so I was confused at the question) Thanks for any help and I hope everyone receives their dolls very soon!

 

@DaemonFae This questions is in regards to people who live in countries that charge custom fees. If you live in the US then this isn't a worry, and you can have him declare the full price of the doll. However, if you live in a country that charges customs fees on products bought abroad then the amount declared can have a significant impact on how much you pay in customs fees.

@DaemonFae Yussss I got one too. I went for the 1/2 payment during placing order and 1/2 once shes done so i'm just about to pay the other half now. I wonder if Haru will ship out orders all on the certain date or will do them a few at a time as long as they have been paid. I went to pay Haru’s final invoice and I re-read his email. My heart sunk… seems like I made a mistake in my order. I couldn’t decide on her resin colour so wrote up the email ready to send it away once decided. I thought I wanted Mild tan, but ended up choosing Medium (so I thought). Turns out I didn’t update my order email and I got her in Mild tan… My heart strings hurt so much! I only have myself to blame for this stupid mistake.
It seems like some people don’t have their order confirmations, I’m hoping that Haru maybe able to give my Mild Maji to someone who ordered one in this colour and make another in the Medium. If not ill take her regardless, but what a doofuss!!! T____T I’m waiting on Haru to reply to my email. He must think I’m an idiot.

 

I've longed after Harucasting dolls for a while, they are all so unique and expressive.

On a whim, I replied to his post for the vitiligo Joa dolls a while ago... and it looks like I will be getting my first Harucasting doll in some months! I know the dolls will not be 100% representative of the disease, but I really appreciate the sentiment and the skills behind it. I am glad Joa will have Maji's torso measurements, from what I understand , since I appreciate curviness, too!

 

Ooh, how lucky! I can't wait to see how they all turn out from the special order.

I definitely want a Joa myself, but I decided to wait on a normal preorder.

 

I'm envious! I was debating getting one. My mum has vitiligo on her arms so i've been around it my whole life. I think it would be pretty special to have a doll with it and might jump on the next pre-order. Looking forward to the pictures you post once she arrives

 

I had my shipping notice this week, I was on a holiday elsewhere so I'm super exited. Maybe next week she'll come to me.

I'm so exited, it seems like my girls tracking is now in the Finnish Post system and man I hope they'll process her soon to the customs. I've only few times got something without custom fee so I'm sure I'll need to pay it. Prefer sooner than later, it'd be so good to have her for the weekend or early next week.

 

My Maji arrived today! People were not kidding about them being strung unbelievably tight haha. I definitely underestimated the thunder thighs/hips too - seeing them in person, she is truly pear shaped! Can't wait to get to know her better!

Just paid my second payment yesterday, had to apologise to Haru for the delay. Life had gotten hectic and I hadn't been paid yet either. I'm so excited to get my Maji. I got her in Nanni Choco. Need to find some clothes for her. I have an idea of her general look though. So excited!

I might also get some elastic ready to restring her with. I don't mind tight stringing, but I've dealt with the overly tight stringing of Minifees and didn't like it.

 

Better late than never! I'm sure Haru would have understood. It's a pain when unforeseen costs arise and its always at the worst time! Now you can look forward to the shipping notice I'm curious as to when he will start the rest of the orders. Due to my error i was put into the next one rather than the one just gone. I'm trying so hard to be patient haha

 

Hello! I'm super interested in placing an order for one of Harucasting's MSDs. I'm not sure how to go about placing the order though - I'll keep an eye on things and see if I can grab one in that beautiful choco colour!

I read that he is thinking the next preorder may come around the end of October.

 

What kind of eyes are people using for Maji? Haru said 12mm but while my 12mm Mako eyes fit well in the socket, the iris looks too small. She looks super spaced out. I measured and the iris is 6mm, which seems pretty standard for most 12mm eyes. Any suggestions?

 

My Maji has 12mm Oscar Doll eyes and they’re fine. You may just have to try a few different pairs- do you know anyone local IRL in the hobby who might let you borrow eyes or at least try some on?

Mako are actually known to have slightly smaller pupils, I think. 14mm Mako eyes might work?

I know that feeling! My Maji wasn’t in the first group of my order, waiting while others got to play with their dolls was tough.

 

I got my Maji early this week. Been really busy but I've been trying some clothes, wigs and eyes on her. I'll try and get some photos up soon!

 

Joining in because I have an E-minor coming home soon! She is in Milky Tan and my first Harucasting girl. She’s from the most recent preorder but I’m already her third owner! Crazy...

 

Oh wow made in the most recent order and 3rd owner that's an impressive time frame i must say. Must of meant to be as now you get to have her I've been tossing up so much on getting an E-minor more than ever... I have to wait on Maji before i make any rash decisions haha. I already have purchased 3 dolls this year so might have to wait to next year, but know knows! Sometimes my hands have a mind of their own and dolls fall into shopping carts.

@Kentarin D'Ley I will definitely post lots of pictures of her . She’s on the way from the UK to the US, so it may take a bit for her to arrive. Congrats on getting a Maji! I thought about her for a long time, too. But E-Minor stole my heart.
