Ayla is very independent and enjoys being alone. She has lost count of her age over the millennia. She does not appreciate humanity, but she will tolerate their presence if required. She loves animals, particularly bird species from South America. She has an affinity for nature and if she was allowed to disappear into a rainforest and live there for the remainder of her life, away from humans and with the birds, she would be happy. Unfortunately, she has been displaced from the rainforest where she once resided due to logging; it is one of her primary reasons for resenting humans.
She is the caretaker of Yuli, a young human-elf hybrid that was left near a waterfall in a rainforest.
