Haru Casting Mini Dolls

Yikes, I just need one, so I hope so, too! I have a feeling they will get released on separate preorders. I don't think I've seen him release two new dolls at once. I think I can live without Joa, but sometimes when I start seeing them painted that changes, lol.

 

Still no reply. I just wanted to know some answers to questions before I sent my order form, he hasn't read my DM either.

I emailed a week ago so it's a bit frustrating seeing people who sent invoices getting their invoice and no reply to my questions and an unread DM on Instagram. I think it's because he doesn't follow me so he doesn't read his spam folder?

I first wanted to ask if the issues with Maji's posing had been fixed. I know there were knee problems he said would be fixed.

I then asked if you could buy a Maji head on the E-minor body at all, this isn't a deal breaker because I like both bodies but was wondering if that was an option. I'm guessing it's not and that's fine.

I then asked about prices for the Medium and Dark tan to confirm the price bracket. I was also going to send a follow up email asking if other resin colours from the other dolls choices would be an option but since I didn't get a reply and knew he'd be busy I didn't want to barrage him with emails.

 

@Rinoa I believe only the 1st batch of Maji's from her 1st preorder had a leg issue, and the problem was corrected before the others were shipped.

As of now no head swaps. In an instagram story he said Maji/Eminor head swaps might be possible during the Joa & Neul preorder.

Be careful with "Dark Tan," because there is more than one, each doll has their own version and the regular Dark Tan is closer to ebony than light brown.

 

Yikes, that is what makes it so confusing to see what is the real Dark Tan color. I think I saw I Maji label Dark Tan from a user here and she looked Medium Tan at best. I wish Haru had clear color palette shown.

 

I was going to order my E-Minor is Maji Basic, but in the photo in looks closer to ResinSoul coffee/light tan. I'm tossing up between peach normal and Maji Basic. I know there is a difference, but just...which I could see it properly.

There is a post on Haru's Instagram showing Maji, E-Minor, and Joa's legs (displaying the knee caps)... I like that skin tone of e-minors legs.

I've found it easier to pick colors when I can see them together

The photos can look different form editing, light source, and computer screen brightness when viewing photos changes things as well. Like someone mentioned before search the hashtags and see the differences. In person the colors also look different depending on what light you're viewing then in.

I paid my order on Thursday. Thinking about the name, wig and eyes for my girl. I didn't order the face up becouse I wish my favourite artist will be able to do face up for my girl.

Do you know if you can get Maji in say Nanni Choco colour? Or is it just the Maji colours?

 

After about a week of trying to figure out if i want the Mild tan or the Medium Tan i have come to a decision for my Maji and sent off my order. I've never had so much difficulty with colours before. I really love his tans.

I've seen an E-Minor in Nanni Choco, so you can probably do that! I'm sure if you order it, and it's not allowed, he'll let you know

 

Now I'm conflicted between Maji Dark Tan and Nanni Choco argh! I have the form all filled but haven't sent it yet because I just don't know which one I'd like better.

EDIT: I've gone with Nanni Choco! Now I just hope he responds to my email this time and I don't get overlooked.

 

Sorry for double posting, but omg. I saw the stories by Haru and people have been very short with their doll history and stance on recasts and now I feel really silly because I wrote a big ass essay!

 

@Rinoa I'm sure he'll get back to you on your order, just be patient as it will likely take him a few days to respond.

And to everyone ordering this period, some advice: Patience is a virtue! Let's not forget that Haru is a one-man operation, be prepared for a long wait. I have a feeling he's getting even more orders this go-around, and he does conduct his casting business for other artists while he's working on your dolls. It took six months for me to receive my Maji, and she was absolutely 100% worth the wait. That said, I can't wait to see all your new dolls

 

Oh it's not that I can't wait, I know he's extremely busy, but I sent my initial email 8 days ago and he never responded yet people were getting their invoices, even people who sent invoices days after I sent my email. My DM I sent went unread also when he said he would check. I'm more worried my email is going to spam or something and he won't see it.

 

Well said! I got shot down by people waiting when I said this for an earlier pre order. These girls are definitely worth the wait

 

I agree with you both, patience is definitely needed in this hobby. I'm not worried about getting a late reply, nor having to wait 6+ months for my girl once paid as I know Haru is trustworthy and reliable! I just worry my email will get lost as it's happened a few times in the past. (I do worry too much, I've been told this often! )

He actually replied to my initial email today so I'm assuming it was just a lower priority due to it being only questions, since getting orders sorted for people are a bigger priority since he needs to earn an income of course!

I'm sorry if I seemed impatient! I'm definitely not trying to be, and I'm not expecting a rushed or instant reply and invoice. I've bought from Dollzone and Fairyland and I know how long those waits can be. I know these girls are worth the wait.

@samson Your E-Minor is what made me decide to get my Maji in Nanni Choco!

Your concerns are completely understandable and I’m glad Haru finally got back to you I just know in the last couple preorders, there was quite a bit of... shall we say... frustration expressed by several people due to a longer than expected wait. I’m just hopeful that won’t happen again cause this thread is much more enjoyable when there is less negativity

I was trying to recall the last time i bought a doll and I can't believe it's been a couple of years! I'd almost forgotten what the excitement felt like when you order one... I've had a 12month wait before so 6months is doable! ^-^ let the prepping begin!!!

I placed my order I know he got it because he screen capped it lol I don't have an invoice yet, but at least I know he got the email. So excited. This is the first doll I've ever ordered direct from a company and the first one I'll have to wait for. I do have her name picked out though

It's funny to me that all of you wrote long things in your orders. I wrote something very short as well, basically just saying that I don't support recasting -- which is true of course! It's been making me giggle to scroll through his instagram posts of the "best" responses though.

I am happy to be patient, but I am still hopeful that they will come sooner than we expect! My last doll took two years to get here, so it's not like I can't wait, but the less I have to the better.

 

For anyone who paid their doll in full, were you responsible for the PayPal fees as well? I'm debating between paying in full or in 2 payments. Thanks in advance!

 

I think either way (in full or on layaway) Haru wants you to pay as "friends or family" so he doesn't get charged the fee.

 

Thanks! For my bank transfer option, it's $4.99 regardless of amount, so if fees are incurred even when paid in full, I may just pay it in one go to save on fees...

 

I paid full and didn't get any sort of confirmation about the payment. Does he send something like that? I wasn't very wordy with my comment about recasts either, just said how I feel about it and nothing else. He had quoted my email in his Instagram stories tough.

Anyway, I asked from few people who own E-minor about the eyes and made an order to Kanis Augen for some of their glass eyes. I couldn't pick just one pair so I ordered three. I chose 12mm with small iris and pupil so I hope they will be a decent fit. I made my order last week and now they are close to the post office already! Super good! I wonder what size of wigs have do you have for your Harucasting dolls?

I'm still looking for the right wig for my Maji. Found a brown and purple one I love (same color as my hair lol), but it is kind of pricy. Not too big of a deal, but I need to make sure it is what I really want before spending too much. Here she is in a spare I keep around.

Anyone who sent their order after the 26th got a confirmation yet? Just want to make sure I haven't been missed or rejected, I'm worried I waffled too much in my email.

 

I placed my order on the 27th. Haru has said that he has some orders due and once they are done he can focus on the preorder and his own dolls. I'm getting a bit antsy though. Haru has assured me he will get back to me but yeah....I would feel so much better with an order confirmation and my first payment made.

 

I got my order confirmation so I can stop being annoying now! Paid my first half and now the wait begins! I'm excited aaaah.

Did you try reaching out to him on IG messages? Someone else in his stories was in a similar situation as you. His story made it seem like he was surprised to hear that that person wasn't invoiced.

When I initially emailed him, he asked me to contact him via IG DMs if possible.

 

Don't be discouraged! It seems like Harucasting is trying to get out all of the other jobs first so he can then focus on his own order. I'm sure he's just been a bit swamped and hasn't gotten around to answering emails @svc16 Your confirmation will come!

 

I got it today and made my first payment! I'm so relieved!!! I've already named her and made her room box (my first ever) and I have a box of clothes started for her. Now that I know she's definitely coming home, I can relax and focus on other things she needs.

Thats awesome news!! I've just started getting ready for my Maji. Bought her some new shoes this morning. Im a bit unsure about her clothes since her i've read her thighs are huge so might wait until shes home before i sort out clothing.

 

I did order E-Minor. Initially I found Harucasting through his Adori sculpts - I now have Adori twins which I love so much it isn't funny. Then I decided to see what his other sculpts were like and fell in love with all of them, but E-Minor immediately became my grail doll. I have been looking for the girl with the perfect look for a while now. Asian, but can pull off a more caucasian look if needed. I was looking at Iplehouse Asa, but E-Minor blows her out of the water. And I love being able to support a smaller casting company and a dedicated family man.

I think debidoodoll on Etsy makes Maji and E-Minor specific clothing. That might be a good place to start? She also just opened up a Harucasting Facebook group where we can all share our dolls. It might be a good place to go (if you aren't already on it) to get ideas on where others found their clothing. I also think Glitter Girls outfits should fit her as the leggings are super stretchy and are baggy on my Resinsoul Mei, snug on my Kid Delf but with plenty of room to stretch.

 

I hear regular MSD bottoms are better for Maji! StrungoutBJD (Singull on here) did a review of her and mentioned normal MSD pants are better in the video.

I have a question. My E-Minor's left leg (her left) doesn't stay straight. The top joint of the knee bends immediately when I let go of it. I thought it might be because she is strung so tight. (Mine is so tight that the s-hook damages the neck when I take her head off.) But, I loosened the elastic, and it is still doing it. Looking at both her knee joints, it seems as if the groove on the back of the knee isn't deep enough, so the thigh slides over it too easily. I'm kind of embarrassed to email Haru so long after I got her, so I thought I'd see if anyone else is having that problem first. I just had very little time to play with her between now and her delivery.

Also, does anyone know where I can buy tan elastic? She is string to tightly, but there isn't enough extra to loosen it. Right now, I have her legs strung incorrectly to make enough slack. I'd like to have her string properly, though.

 

I know Maji had a knee problem, but I didn't know E-minor did as well.

I hope the issue for Maji has been fixed, I did ask though he said to ask questions here, and apparently he was aware of it and was going to fix it for future orders.

 

I just spoke to someone with an e-minor this weekend and she warned me about the "leg issue" as well. I mentioned I had seen that it was fixed here for Maji, so I would definitely hope it is fixed for all dolls! @bluepita , it's definitely worth politely emailing and asking about it! The worst that can happen is that Haru will say; "I'm very sorry, but it's been too long and I can't provide a replacement piece."

I think Haru is very nice with a good sense of humor, so there is nothing to worry about as long as you are polite.

 

I feel so impatient with this order and I don't know why! Usually I'm pretty good at drowning out the thought but I seem to be at work thinking about Haru Maji I get the feeling Maji is going to be a cryptonight doll that gets spoilt haha
