Granado Dolls Waiting Room v4!

@Bluenocs yay, another 74cm! That's what I'm waiting on as well! I wasn't positive if that was the one you meant, since Lucifer also had the different crowdfunding sizes like Napoleon. I love seeing all the Fashion sized Lucifers, but I'm excited for the really big ones!

He will also be my biggest doll, once he arrives. I'm curious to see how the body will look next to the Dollshe 28m 70cm body, which I also have.


I think I'm going to send off an email to Granado and see if they know if my order will take longer due to the extra resin parts... not gonna lie, if they say he's going to be ready soon, I'll probably cave in and pay him off early

 

What’s the usual wait times for Granado? I’m so ready for my Napoleon to arrive lol.

 

@Xila, did you receive any communication from Granado about your Lucifer? I'm about to put my last payment on my own Lucifer and am curious what they said about time. I also ordered jointed hands for mine (re-reading your post I just remembered that!!), so maybe those will take a bit longer as well.

And still waiting waiting waiting on Napoleon!

 

@Bluenocs they said he would be ready to ship end of April-y, one month after my last payment. (so, they didn't finish the casting during the layaway, oh well!) I reminded them that they said they would refund me for the event discount, and they did- I asked if end of april-y was still an accurate shipping time, and they havent gotten back to me yet (but that was only a day or two ago)

I've really got my fingers crossed that everything shows up as it's supposed to! My invoice looks a good bit different from what I actually ordered (changed the eye size, added extra parts and the event doll...)

 

@Xila which event doll did you get? How far along in the order did you change the eye size...what size did you change too? I think he comes with 14mm? (I could be wrong....I haven't checked in awhile and that info might have slipped my mind). Am thinking of adding the black wig (ordered the brown). Soooo excited!!!

 

@Bluenocs I got the Miss Kitty (Ginger) from the new years sale! Super cute, but I dont know if I'll keep, I'm not very into YoSDs.

I ordered on January 4th, and sent the email to change the eyes January 20th. I ordered them in 14mm, but later realized the 74cm Lucifer page says he takes 16mm, so I changed to that. I'm pretty sure the smaller sizes do take 14mm, just not the 74cm one! I hope he also comes with eyes- I ordered the eyes under the assumption that he wouldn't, so that would be a nice surprise!

What size Lucifer did you get? I'm excited, too!

 

@Xila I also ordered the 74cm. I think I ordered him with eyes, not sure what size though. It doesn't say on my order. The order does say 'preparing' so that ups the excitment factor a tad. I'm currently on the lookout for some super vibrant emerald green eyes for him. I ordered the full set of him, outfit, wig, boots, faceup, the works!

 

I’m waiting on a Napoleon too! Can’t be too much longer, I hope.

 

@Bluenocs oh YAY congrats on the fullest! I do love that look and a fellow 74cm! If all goes well here, mine's body will actually get taken by another doll, but I'm thinking his head will fit on another body of mine! My status is currently "refunded," because they refunded me the discount, but it scared the heck out of me the first time I saw it, haha! I can vouch for vibrant green eyes, I think they're great! Finding small iris can be hard, though.

YAY @kurogane ! I hope your Napoleon comes really soon! He's a handsome sculpt, I'm interested in seeing him!

 

I added my name to the waitlist. I ordered the 31cm Napoleon in Jan. and the 43cm Napoleon in Feb. I had to look up when I paid with PayPal for my dates. It is easier to look here but I forgot to add my name and it doesn't look like anyone has added to the waitlist for a while. It took 5 months to get Lucifer but I'm hoping it doesn't take that long to get Napoleon since the body is finished.

 

Granado told me they would ship "within April," so, being the doll gremlin that I am, I gave them a poke today, May 2nd. I do my best to seem eager, not pushy; I hope it translates like so I'm not really expecting an immediate response, considering they often take a day+ and it's so close to the weekend

 

@Xila Just saw your post and had to go check for myself. My status has gone from 'refunded' to 'preparing' on Lucifer, and still on 'preparing' for Napoleon. I feel like I should be getting a doll in the mail soon. Starting to get a little itchy that way. Guess I'm not very good at the waiting game!

Saw the new embody girl though. Like the body. Not feeling the sculpt. Probably a good thing!

 

I actually did get a quick response! @Bluenocs they told me they can't ship anything because it's a holiday: golden week, which seems to last from the 1st to the 4th? Sounds like they should be able to ship next week or so

O.m.g! I came home to a granado box on my porch!! No shipping notice, no tracking number, not even a ring from the postman (no signing)! I havent even opened it yet, I just had to share asap!!!

 

I got an email in the early hours of the morning that my items from Granado shipped! I have never had a package arrive through DHL, though. The tracking says it started in Dubai, and then went to Germany. Now it is on it's way to the US from there. Is that normal? Seems a bit odd, but thought this might be a good place to ask.

 

If you do a search of this thread using Dubai in the search you will find that you are not alone in the strange routing info.

I have ordered little 29 cm Jane :3 Waiting her so much.

 

Yeeessss....I got a 41cm with all the hands. Have no idea what to do with the head, but the body is going to be going to a dollshe head

 

I have already imagine character for her) Really hope that Granado will manage to meet their deadline with all events of the last months.
Which head do you going to give her?

 

@Helg I'm going to be seeing if the Bernard sculpt will work. The measurements of this body are similar to minifees (which I have the head on as a temp body), but more proportionate to match Dollshe's sculpting. If it doesn't look right, I'll probably see if I can mod the Jane head to look similar.

 

Whhhhaat?!!! Can't believe I haven't checked this thread! I was so excited that I got a shipping notice the other day. Looks like it is my big Lucifer and he is on his way! Curious what was in your package? Napoleon? Is he what you thought?

 

I've gone a little over board on my Granado affliction. I'm (still, currently) waiting on a 43cm Napoleon, a 41 cm Jane, aaaand a Lucky Bag.

And that... will need to be the end of my dollie purchases for the year. (But I'm excited!)

 

Since Claude was still available through Legenddoll and I've decided I need him for a particular character, I grabbed him from them a week ago. I think I may be one of the few (only?) that did.

 

4 months 10 days since I ordered 43cm Napoleon or a surprise knock on the door.

 

Maybe you'll get a surprise knock! According to Purelator I should be getting a biiiiig package tomorrow. I thought 'the doll' was still across the ocean. Can't wait, can't wait!!! (It's probably my Lucifer!!)

@SteamWitch I hope your guys ships soon! I'm not sure why a NS would take longer than mine unless they are making them based on order number or something?

I got the 75 cm lucifer! And I've totally been ignoring him! Life got busy right after he arrived, so I just kinda set him aside since his arrival. He's so sturdy, though! Not the greatest fan of the hand and feet sculpting, but I think he'll hybrid ok with Dollshe 28m hands and feet, which I'm waiting on anyway. He's creaky (as big dolls often are) and some of his joints are almost a little too sturdy, from a difficult-to-move standpoint, but he holds a pose better than anything else I currently own. I was trying to stand him and my 2 other sd boy bodies simultaneously (Dollshe 28m and April Story NS17), and the difference is so apparent.

 

Has anyone had their lucky bag ship yet? I thought they would have shipped out by now.

I'm just curious as to what mine will have in it!

 

I ordered a Vigor with the Lucifer head just yesterday. Now I just have to sit tight. I'm likely going to sell the head though, I'm just getting the body for my floating head Sir Thomas. The Vigor is definitely one of my favorite doll bodies and I'm so excited to finally get one and actually have a good look at it's design and play around with it.

 

Help me I just bought a nuevo girl body 2nd hand and she will be here in a week or so? I've been waiting for one in my budget since forever! One step closer to my hybrid!

It's taking everything in my power not to ask Granado again (once a month...sept. and oct. so far) on how much longer for the 41cm Jane. *cries *

 

I know, I only just ordered mine and I read the estimated time on the order but I still want to prod like every day. I won't of course but like everyone says this waiting is the hardest part.

 

I honestly don't mind the wait (currently waiting on some dollshe boys for her to hang with). I'm just anxious over being told different ship dates every time I ask. But also, they're really nice and let me know why the delay, the last was joint tuning and feet details . I just want her and want to see she's shipped instead.

i get that. the interim updating only makes you yearn harder which makes the wait worse

@Peneyofdeath, thank you! It is new normal. This photo is with very bad light, but skin is very beautiful, close to Dream Valley normal pink (and, I consider, to Dollshe oriental skin).

 

...now I'm wondering if I got my girl the right color. I ordered white (because it looks really creamy pale normal on their site) and am trying to hybrid her with a Dollshe Fresh colored head. Oh well. At least heads are easy to match to bodies.

 

I think, that Dollshe fresh is a bit pinkish, so new normal Granado wouldn't match.

Wow, that's a lot darker than the head I have. Ok. This works. Worst case I can add some blushing to the body and get it to match.

in better news, in my 'oh god did I do this wrong' panic, I'd asked if there was time to request a resin change and....

And officially best Thanksgiving morning ever. Got an email from Granado saying that my 41cm Jane is on her way home. Yaaaaaaay!

I probably won't post her with her given head when I get her in... but oh my God I cannot wait for her to get in.

 

I could about cry with happiness! The body is just fantastic and pops a pose like a champ. Not as happy with the head posing...BUT THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM xD I genuinely don't know where to post with her now.

This is P (short for Penelopy, since she loathes her name with an unholy passion). Her head is a Dollshe Bernard. So glad that I didn't get to Granado in time to change the resin. White works just great. A little blushing to her head will make it just right.

The order status is 'preparing'. I assume it will change when the doll is shipped, or do they have more different statuses?

I ordered them somewhere around 20 october so thats a 3 month wait till shipping. I got a message from them saying that shipping might be slow due to chinese new year, so I’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Luckily I just received two new plapicos so I have something to play with in the meantime
