Thanks @aernath, they are a bite size treat, lol. Hand sewing for them isn't bad but almost necessary.
I am looking forward to the other new size Lucifer's photos. I suppose they will be in the Mini and Large doll forums. Sorry to hear about the postal strike. Crossing my fingers for you.

 

My Lucifer arrived today! And no Customs fees! *dances* The box was a bit dinged but Liroshan was perfectly fine inside. The grey resin is beautiful and I giggled like a 14-year-old at the bag of dicks.

 

Ooh congrats @Iron_Dog! I'd love to see their grey resin in person one day.

 

It's a lovely shade. It looks like it has purple undertones but that could be the crap lighting in my apartment.

 

No, I've heard before that it has a little purple to it. One of the reasons I'm itching to see mine in person.

Are we talking about "syringa"? I would expect it to have some purple in it as that's the scientific name for lilac plants.

It's the color I ordered mine in as well, but sadly it's stuck in the same fate as @SteamWitch's little one suffered. It's been sitting with China post for over a week now.

 

Really? I wondered why they called it syringa when they could've just said grey. Yea! learn something new every day. Now I need to get off my lazy butt and take a pic of all my grey guys together.

Well, my guy was suddenly in town and due for delivery on Sat. I had to work all day, so my dear husband waited around the house half the day until the shipping notice updated with "attempted delivery, reschedule delivery" .
It seems after years of stellar service from our postal delivery folks, we now are getting crap service like everyone else. They did not knock, or "attempt delivery" , so of course Mon is a "holiday" and I won't be able to get him until Tues. *sigh*

That is so cool about the name syringia! I never knew!

 

Well that’s lame @aernath . I’m getting so impatient. I saw a beautiful 53cm on Instagram chewinsinjai on Instagram: “A new boy 53 cm. His name is ' Lucifer ' from Granado doll. Face up by Chewin Wig by Chai #granadodoll”
I haven’t seen anyone say they got a 45cm yet so the 53cm seems to have shipped first.

 

Well that sucks @aernath. Our postal service is like that all the time and it's so frustrating. Your doll is so close, yet so far...

 

Mine hasn't updated from Shanghai since Sept 26. It's becoming concerning.

 

I just got the email requesting payment of the shipping fee! It said my 47cm is expected to ship at the end of this month or the beginning of next.

@scripple i know that @SteamWitch doll stopped in China for a long time too, thou I can’t remember how long.

 

I got my shipping fee request for my 47 Lucifer
cm today. They'll ship at the end of October or the first of November.

 

@skyealloway I know about @SteamWitch and I think it was closer to a week in her case not two. I emailed Granado and they said they'd look into it but also pointed out that in addition to the trade war issues last week was a national holiday in China. So hopefully it's just the holiday making it extra extra slow.

 

Well, Tuesday finally came, and I got my boy! He fits in very nicely with my 50ish crowd. I'm very happy with him, and wow, good thing I knew there was going to be some purple involved in his grey! lol He's more purple than grey imho. It's nice, and I like it, but I expected grey with a little purple, not purple toned down with grey.

He's fitting nicely into the range of clothes I have on hand already for that size of guy too! And now has a wig and some temporary eyes. Hopefully, a name will come to me shortly.

Mine is somewhere between China and San Francisco according to tracking, it seems to have left China customs last week days ago so I suspect it arrived in USA customs and just didn’t get scanned.

Anyway these eyes look really good! But since I don’t have him yet I can’t envison am eye color I would want....

My Xavier head finally shipped! I feel like I've been waiting for ages, though I don't think it's been any longer than it should have been XD

Everyone please cross your fingers that he fits the body waiting for him, because the body is more important than the head, and I don't want to have to look for a different sculpt and go through another wait! Oh, also cross them that he works for the character he's supposed to be. He's replacing one of my all-time favorite sculpts.

Ooh gosh, he's gorgeous.

 

Well they tried to deliver tuesday but since I work no one was home. I signed the slip and left it and now it still says "Attempted delivery - Action needed." So I have no idea where the head is. They took my slip. I would think today would be the actual delivery day. I hate usps.com. It's so useless as a site. A few days ago it kept telling me I had already tracked my number and couldn't do it again. WTH even is that?

EDIT: I take back my whine. He was home when I got home XD
AND AND he fits the body I have!! It looks great! I'm so happy *happy sobbing*

I know 90 days isn't a long time to wait, but this is the first time I've ordered from a company directly and I could use some encouragement. I should have a Gabriel on the way before too long. It seems like they are putting a lot of time and energy into the vindolls right now.

 

@dollguy2 I didn't see you name on the waiting list so I don't know how long you've been waiting but I will tell you this. Granado is very reliable in their making and shipping of dolls. Their system is so cool. You should get your boy on time. The vindolls are a whole other part of the company so that shouldn't affect your resin order.

Got my Enoch today...but he's the wrong colour again! This time it looks like he's bronze instead of tan like my Neptune. Will this saga never end?

@Quiet and Insane you're right, that looks more like sunshine than tan.

 

Send Granado an email...they told me they sent me bronze by mistake. But they're going to fix it for me. At least they were very up front and apologetic about it (unlike J/CS) even if it means another 50 day wait.

 

So frustrating, but at least you know you'll get him someday.

 

Eventually. Anyway, my doll funds for next year are for his body (provided no company decides to randomly discontinue a doll I have on my want-list ).

My Enoch head has finally arrived! And yes, it's FINALLY the correct colour. Dear lord that was an experience I don't ever want to repeat.

Who’s going for the Napoleon? I feel like I’ve seen a lot of people ordering in the smaller size. I got him in the Vigor size. Dunno what I’m going to do about clothes, but that’s future Chikku’s problem.

 

I got a Napoleon in 31cm size. I have no idea on clothing either. But that’s nothing new!

 

I'm layawaying a 75cm Lucifer, with extra resin parts. No idea how that will impact the wait time, but I'm in no rush to pay off this scary-looking layaway...

Ideally, Granado will make the doll during the layaway, and I can pay off any remainder whenever they finish... I asked them and expressed interest in doing that, and they made it sound like they will do that! They've been awesome, even helping me fix my own ordering mistakes... Twice lol

I got a Napoleon with Vigor body and add the HH package!
seems a lot of people got the small size, can't wait to see the unboxing post of him

 

I'm eager to see them as well! I enjoy the HH parts, but I couldn't justify the extra cost when they didn't suit the character at all is it weird I wanna see them, too? Just morbid curiosity.

I hope the biggest size retains its solid poseability! The promo shots are very impressive... wonder what size they are of.

 

Yay another big Napoleon! I got the HH package too, though I was blushing the whole time I added it.

@Xila The poseability is what lead me to get the Vigor body-- it looks super impressive, though aesthetically, I really liked the evol / embody. I think the promo shots where of emboy / evol, because they said the clothes were only available for those sizes.

 

@Chikku I agree that the aesthetics of the evol/embody are certainly great! I was concerned that the slope of the shoulders in the Vigor body was too steep, or that the shoulder didn't have enough girth to it, or something else I couldnt really place... I'm not concerned about it now, though. The long torso joint was an interesting choice for Granado, but oddly enough, that's a feature that I happen to need for this body's eventual mod project.

I just paid my second-to-last layaway payment! I'm saving up some extra money in case granado tells me the doll is done early. (Unlikely, I think, but I have hope!)

Hi! I'm new to the group and figured I might as well add myself to the waiting room. I've got a Lucifer on a Vigor body in normal on layaway (I think my last payment is this month!) and a Napoleon 43cm in tan. Both will come with company faceups as painting faceups is not in my skillset. A little nervous for the Lucifer arrival. I do not have a doll this big. He will be my first.

 

Got shipping notice for my Jupiter ❤️❤️❤️ can't wait!

 

It's a 4-arm mod! I'm super excited for this project, though I admit it's a bit intimidating to have picked such an expensive body to mod! I bought an extra torso piece to keep in original condition, just in case I change my mind, though.

@Bluenocs welcome, welcome! is the lucifer also 43cm? Getting your newest, biggest doll is always something fun!!

@Xila Lucifer is the 74 cm. I originally collected 12" and 16" fashion dolls (and still kind of do), so this doll will be a huge change. I am also really curious to try this size. If I decide I like him....he will be getting a partner of some sort...
