Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - part ten

Yep! I bought her off a friend. I've been considering getting this head for a long time. She had it on sale for I think a year or so and no one bought it so when it rolled around again I said it was a sign and made her mine

 

Anyone have pics of a faceup on the id1 head? I haven't seen many and would love to see her all painted if anyone has pics

 

@wrxgal Amet on Flikr has done a face up on hers, my ID-1 head is at denver doll waiting for me I got her with her default face up, I'll post her as soon as I get her!

 

I haven't seen any others painted yet, but here's a pic of Kasumi and a fluffy friend. XD



Gotta finish sanding her body before there can be any more pics though.

@Loodles I would love to see her with the default! I don't think anyone's shown her off with one yet!

The Fairyline60 body is 54cm? Seriously? And I hoped it would be taller than the moe body Fairyland Measurement Table

For anyone who might be interested, DolkStation got the permission to sell Scarlett starting 9th April 7 pm Japan standard time.

 

Huh. Those are interesting measurements. She basically has all the same measurements as a Moe body, except she's a little bit lighter in weight?

I'm actually more excited since I like the look of the Moe body.

 

Aww, bummer I was hoping it'd be taller too. I'm just glad it isn't any shorter though it would have messed up my plans for her if she was shorter than my Celine

 

An Inch shorter than Moe isn't too awful :P

 

This is good news for me! I'm a shorty, and I love short dolls. I think the Moe size is such a precious height (and easy to store!). Now if only they had offered a smaller bust option with Scarlett... Guess I'll be taking a hacksaw to one of those bust pieces to fashion my own!

Also, to anyone who currently owns a MNF Fairyline doll - how exactly do the magnetic arms work? From videos I've seen, it seems like they magnetize to the part underneath the actual bust piece?

Yes, I was happy to see that Scarlett came with an additional bust piece when I placed my order. However, the girl who's getting this body wears a corset made for small bust dolls. So, if the corset doesn't fit the hacksaw is coming out! It's more a matter of which of the two bust pieces to hack into.

 

Sounds exciting (in a non Hannibal Lecter way) I personally would love an inbetween cutie-medium size bust peice...but that seems unlikely

 

I wish it were exciting! But nay, past bust mods tell me it will be boring and tedious (well, at least after the first big chunk comes off ). I'm with you, an in-between bust would be amazing: feminine and easy to clothe. But yeah, Fairyland is not the most accommodating with option parts, and their trend as of late is bigger = better (as evidenced by the MNF Fairyline default bust, which I have heard lovingly called "balloon tits" ).

 

Congratulations for everyone who has ordered Scarlett! Oh I wish I could but.. well, need to think about it. I'm glad there's still time.

Today I got home two heads from the fabulous jesmo and I'm so glad I have the girls back home! ^^ My Soony elf I got earlier but today her sisters head came home, she is Chloe elf. ^^ Sorry for the craptastic dark Instagram quality but I can't take it how beautiful they are!

I also got home Celine but she went into the storage box to wait for a body (preferably Scarlett's body...).

 

the arms aren't actually magnetized. It's a pressure plate type situation where the pressure of the bust piece when clamped down holds the arms in. It's actually really cool. Mine is on a layaway right now though. I thought I would keep it for the different measurements but it wasn't different enough from my A-line to keep. Plus there's not a fantasy bottom that I want just yet

 

Oh, that's really cool! Thanks for the insight. I'm actually glad magnets aren't involved - I was concerned I would have to very carefully sponge-bathe her arms for fear of any water getting trapped underneath magnets and causing rust.

So I was looking at photos of Scarlett (yeah, I'm totally obsessed) and it just dawned upon me... If we changed her bust to a smaller size, wouldn't her default top sit kinda funny? It looks like the bustier was made for her incredibly large bust, so swapping out for a smaller one might make the top of her outfit too big?

Just a random observation. I don't have plans to change her bust to a smaller one, but for those who want to, it might look funny in her default top?

 

@Effulgence I've seen that when people put Sia's fullset outfit on smaller busts. It does look ill-fitting when it's made for such a large chest.

 

@Cuteasadoll Yeah, I just took a look at Sia's outfit and it's almost the same problem. Flat chested girls get no love. Haha.
It's almost a mirror of real life. Some clothes look great on bustier people, but less bustier girls fit into everything at least? Might not fill the outfit, but at least they can get them on.

 

You are correct that Sia's fullset bra looks weird on her smaller medium bust. In some photos (really depends from the angle) it's not too bad.

I'm so close to giving in and buying a Scarlett but I'm debating between the human fullset or the basic. If I get the basic it forces me to be way more creative with her look and save money for Fairyland's next release. With my luck the next release would be a Fairyline boy or another cute Realfee a week after this release closes.

I wish Fairyland would have some fullpacks with a cutie or medium bust for their lovely gals. I also wish they would allow us to have the option to pick specific pieces of the fullpack for the"full option pack"

Agreed, I would love to get just Scarlett's amazing boots, for instance.

@Magical Rin ~ that is one of the cutest Celines I have ever seen. I love the combo of the cute pastel outfit with the tan skin and pirate theme. The dark hair looks pretty good too, she'd make a nice brunette as well.

@Effulgence She was looking through my inspiration tag for my doll's character and picked out a makeup photo and totally brought it to life! I knew I wanted her to have gold and black eyeliner together, but it's even better than I could have believed!

I'm actually shocked there's still stock left on DDE haha but I guess the price really did offset some people. I also heard some people really wanted a Fairyline 60 male chest piece. I wonder how many are going to order Through FL. I would have though at the very least the human versions would sell out since there's only 100 and I've seen tons of people buying them. What do you guys think? Will the fairyland website swap over sell her out?
