A special girl arrived last weekend~ I'm so happy to own a F65 Ingrid again, but this time in tan.

What a beauty in tan, @Aquadoe ! I love the 65s, started with Chloe and Roke, never looked back.

Thank you so much! I still have so much love for Chloe. I never got to own one, but I absolutely love having a F65! I missed having my orignal Ingrid and Angela, so I'm very happy to have a F65 in my group again!

This is a long shot, but does SD16 clothing fit Feeple65 bodies by chance? (':

 

That's what I assumed...ty! There are some styles of clothes that would be perfect for my doll but only offer Volks SD sizing </3

Friends, I feel I am losing my mind with my f65 girl... I know they have a particular knotch in their hips/legs so that they can sit, but mine just.. refuses to do so Whenever I manage to get it in the right place, it immediately snaps back again and it's driving me nuts
PLEASE tell me there's something I've just been doing wrong, or some sort of fix for this? It's getting a bit infuriating having this big behemoth girl refusing to sit XD

 

OMFG me too, I have to battle my F65 girl to get her to sit, and/or have a chair cuz she will just flop back randomly. I am starting to think mine has some minor flaw to her locking joint system as I see photos of other peoples f65 girls and they seem to be able to sit up straight just fine.

As a side note my F65 boys all pose fine and they can sit up and hold a pose as well as my f60s and MNFs it's really only my F65 girl that gives me any fight of my fairy land dolls.

 

I don't know if it helps, but I have to essentially press my girl's legs back until I -feel- them click into place in her abdominal joint (butt joint? not sure what to call it). My male Feeple65 is far easier to put into place when his pants aren't in the way.

I recently made a new gown for my wonderful Siean Elf - and wanted to share her.
(I'm still feeling so lucky that I found her head here!!! She's on an Iplehouse (old) SID body
with the neck modded).

I wanted to share my F65 Rozen in his new wig - I made this one
using German mohair fabric (teddy bear) with 1” nap. Much easier
to sew than the Tibetan fur but pretty much as hard (for me) to
style. I wanted him to have a more masculine look not the usual
waist length hair look.

I modded a pattern given by MarthaBoers for the EIDmen.
Enchanteddoll 14mm double narrow urethane eyes; hand dyed silk Flowergirl robe

 

The wig looks great! My resin men are still waiting for me to make them some nice short wigs Love his robe and what nice eyes he has too.

The other two that I made used scaled/modded versions of her other wig pattern. But I
liked how this one turned out best.

I notice that I need to tweak the installation of one of his eyes - it must have slipped a bit….

Admittedly I got a little excited for this very reason, but then only saw the human face offered. She's gorgeous on her own but that vampire face is gorgeous.

That's okay! She is gorgeous. How is her SID body's posing? Also do you happen to do commissions for her gorgeous elven outfits that you make for her? I'm planning an SD elf for myself and yours has given me the most inspiration.

I still love the original Iplehouse SID body that Siean has - It stands like a rock and sits well too.
I’m not into gymnastics with my dolls so perhaps my opinion will not matter as much as others’.
I like the newer SID body as well - even better elbows - but the knees are so ugly imo.
The Feeple65 body is also lovely but I wanted Siean to have a small bust and sadly,
Fairyland does not offer that. I’ve done a bust reduction on my F65 Angela2 but it was
a seriously big job (pun intended). I so wish they’d offer a range of bust sizes like they
do for the minifee but ….

I don't know if It is the right place for this ^^"

But I recently received my brand new Feeple65 Rick directly from Fairyland, and there are some details that feels odd.
First is the faceplate that is bigger than the headback, the headback doesn't fit correctly to the neck connector and the faceplate falling off because it doesn't fit either.

I wanted to know if I was alone with this mold or do you have the same issues? Is it the same for the Rozen?

 

Fairyland appears to be having quality issues lately.
Maybe show us some photos of the parts, and the fit issues?
Also, I'd suggest contacting Fairyland, with photos, and if they're unhelpful, and it's less than 180 days since your order was placed, a PayPal dispute can be helpful in getting the help you need.

 

@Snowing, I ordered my boy a few years ago, so I can't speak for recently. I have a Rozen, and I did not notice any real issues with the fit/headcap itself. It seems very similar to my Medusa in the way it fits and sits.

 

I have both Rozen and Rick, and Rick's face is ever so slightly bigger, and it tends to look a little off/funny without a wig on.

As for fit of face plate to head back that can very with casting and of my handful of F65 guys and girls a few of them had to trade head backs for prefect fits. Sometimes things do not settle right in the casting stage, if you contact FairyLand and they wont replace the head back. You can try buying another head back either through them or DDE and it might fit better. I had to do that with an event face place as it would not set on the one I ordered with it. Luckily I had another F65 face plate that also needed a head back and it fit that one fine.

That said if it's not setting on the neck connector there maybe a bigger issue at hand with the part and likely needs a full replacement part.

If that's something you see with your dolls, it's probably what you said, a casting issue. And do that mean they use the same mold of headback for all the Feeple65 now? (like for male and female?)
I'll see what Fairyland answer to my email, I don't know if my photos will help to send a new headback..

 

They might see the slight mismatch in size as acceptable casting variables/tolerances. There is obviously a difference but it could be small enough to FL to not count as a problem. I'm not at all saying it's right but that might be their viewpoint and they might refuse to do anything to remedy the situation.

I'd be annoyed over that, especially after purchasing directly from the company where I'd expect quality control to catch stuff like that and the amount of money these dolls cost even when blank.

 

It looks like an issue, for sure - shrinkage, maybe? Overuse of molds?
I'm sorry that I sound like a Devil's Advocate here, but you've paid a lot of money for a very apparently faulty product. It's obvious to us, even if Fairyland refuse to acknowledge. It'll likely be obvious to PayPal staff handling your dispute.

 

Iron_Dog : That's what I am expecting from their response... I ordered parts with him and some of them have issues as well, I am a little disappointed because it was a 1k order.

miffimifster : I would say overuse maybe, but yeah I'll see what they say.

I never had that kind of problems with them, broken parts but they always send new ones for exemple. (what I don't like is the big ugly molding lines)

 

@Snowing Yeah, that would irk me something fierce. Especially since for me, whatever it turned out to be in USD$, it's more as the Canadian dollar exchange rate is less than the US$ right now. Like a $1,000US order would be at least $1,388CAD (based on today's exchange rate), so having those issues after spending nearly $1,400CAD (+shipping!) would cheese me off a lot.
