Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 7

Feb 22, 2022

    1. This is FL's blog announcment of the Feeple 65 New Release Body
It seems to have happened in 2017.
I don't have a video, but i had the newer f65 girl body and took several pictures of the posing ability as well as it disassembled and how the engineering looks.

    2. @Serein Let us know what DDE says about the tan skin if you ask! If you don't, I might ask once I am done with the trip I am on. Thank you for that advice @Tippetarius !

    3. omg she's soooo cute! :aheartbea I wish Fairyland would sculpt more detailed eyes, though. But I guess this leaves room for artists to manipulate how her eyes look.

    4. @Serein This is great news! The fullset IS lovely but it's not quite what I want to do with her. I still have time to decide though!
@bahboh Thank you for posting the blank sculpt!

    5. Thank you for uploading the sculpt @bahboh ! I think she's lovely!
I'm definitely going for her too!:love

    6. I can't find it anywhere on DDE , but how long is Nuia available for?

    7. Fairyland’s notice including dates
      2023 Halloween Event Notice

Thank you @bahboh for posting these details on the disassembled geometry!! Was it
difficult to put the body back together?? I am planning a bust reduction so will have
to take the body apart too.

    8. Thanks I looked everywhere but somehow missed that page.

    9. I'm now on the list for a Nuia which will make 3 F65's in the house haha. Nuia will be the first full doll in Tan though--I'm so glad they offered basics in tan

    10. I will soon have my first F65 (Carol) and then I will also order Nuia, so I will have 2. Where do you buy clothing for these dolls? I do sew but I don't even know what size patterns to look for. They are larger that my F60 clothing and patterns.

    11. @Dollquest I’m not sure on buying but I can help with patterns. Lomi’s Playground on YouTube has some free printable patterns. Several are fantasy, the rest are more modern. If you’re willing to modify, you can get more variety. She has tutorials on YouTube for most of her patterns.
I have heard a couple of Iplehouse sizes can fit. I’ve never personally tried but I’ve seen some photos floating around. It varies depending on the garment.

The shirt is the F65 raglan top from Lomi’s pattern. May or may not have modified anything, I forget. I’ve also added a cowl to the neck in the past. Dress is a modified halter top/brassiere. I added a skirt and ruffles. I’ve also tried the SD 65 hoodie pattern (modified slightly to change the front closure to over the head) and gotten good results. It’s loose but works. Not shaped for those F65 curves, but very comfortable looking.

    12. I mainly sew for my girls (F65 Angela2 and a couple of Iplehouse SID) and SID patterns are completely ok for them. You can find some basic patterns on etsy which you can use without modifying (I mainly use The Charming Room's patterns, she also has youtube).
As for buying, Sartoria J's clothes are a good fit for them (I'm not sure about trousers... anyone tried them?).
I have seen dresses from Cheerydoll (sorry if I typed it wrong) on F65s, and I guess those were also SID sizes. That's all I can remember suddenly...

Anyway, Iplehouse SID sizes fit, so you can start with those. :thumbup

    13. Thank you very much!

She's stunning! and having a human option makes her extremely tempting!

Thank you! I had her repainted and I'm so glad I did!

    14. How long does it usually take for FL to answer questions on their board? 2 holiday weekends in a row can lead to some backup but was curious if it takes around a week or so on average.

And in case anyone knows the answer I'll ask here as well, is there a Korean site? I'd like to see pricing in won if that's an option but I can't seem to find a website other than the English and Japanese sites

    15. Does anyone know where to find the measurements for the F65 female body that is sold now? I have looked all over FL's website and DDE. Usually they post the measurements with the dolls, but I can't find them anywhere.

    16. here’s the measurement table!

    17. @bahboh Thank you so much!!! I've been out of town and a little sick, so I'm just getting back on here and you made my day! :D I haven't checked Kim SunHwa's page in a couple weeks so I'm pumped to see the bare sculpt. Those ears are so unique! I can't waaaaaaait!!

    18. Do any Feeple65 owners have suggestions on bottoms these girls can wear? I was able to squeeze some Volks SD17 pants on my girl, but am wondering if I just got lucky with that pair.

    19. I would especially like to know about jeans or some fitted pants. I’m pretty sure I can figure out a pair of leggings, but I’d love to know about jeans - either a pattern or to buy a pair.

    20. I finally placed my Nuia order with Denver Doll. I did get her in tan and I did go for both face plates with the company faceup. I know that Leetah from Elfquest has green eyeshadow but I really do love the gold eyeliner Fairyland has going on. Plus I don't know if she will for sure end up being Leetah since I don't have a Cutter for her to pair with (at least for now) so she might be her own elf lady. But I am excited to get her when my layaway is done hahaha. (My friend will get the event minifee head.)

    21. Finally got my Nuia ordered and paid for! I'd already started planning out which faceup artists I'd like to contact and some outfit ideas but now I can actually start cementing some plans! :)

Quoting this in case someone in the future is curious: FL had me place my order on their website and after I sent them my order number, they gave me the USD to KRW conversion and a link with a personal payment listing on their Naver store. I still haven't come across whether they have an actual Korean storefront as the Naver store only have the Cerberus Project figures listed.

    23. The F65 Angela2 that I had did wear several “sd16” sized heels - she is gone now
so I cannot take a photo for you @Kazuki . Nor can I guarantee that all sd16 heels
would fit - but I’d guess at least most would. Hope that helps!

    26. One of the pushes for me to buy Angela was the fact that she would be able to wear SD16 shoes :) I have a bunch of them but my Iplehouse crew can't fit into them ;)

    27. Ooooh @LyanneNZ - your Angela2 is *stunning*!!! Absolutely love her
in the tan resin!!! And her outfit is beautiful too! Love the jacket! And
her heels are perfect! Gorgeous photo!

    28. My Nuia arrived home yesterday! She'll be sitting wrapped up for a little while longer since I don't have a single thing for her here in my new place. I'll wait into the new year before I reach out to an artist for a faceup but her blank face is so beautiful. Love her lips and nose!

she’s so beautiful, oh my gosh! It’s amazing to see that tan girls are shipping already—gives me hope that mine is on the way soon!

    32. @Serein She is beautiful! I can't wait! And I need to get going on my payments so as soon as she gets to Denver Doll Emporium, I can bring her home!

    33. She's so adorable! Congratulations, she'll be stunning when finished!

    34. @Serein Hurray! Thank you for sharing! That is fast shipping for sure! Mine has a while to go since I am paying via layaway but I am excited to see what you do with yours!

    35. Thank you everyone! I hope FL continues at this pace so more dolls arrive to their homes quickly. I can't wait to see what everyone does with their Nuias!

    36. Hello everyone, maybe this is a silly question, but I want to buy an older faceplate, but does this mean I need to somehow find an older headback? :horror: They look totally incompatible now, but it's like.. if we wanna buy an old faceplate what do we even do about it?

    37. I have this exact problem with a Dollshe faceplate I have. I sort of assumed that maybe getting a headback 3D printed would probably be the easiest option for me.

    38. The thing is I'd really rather not resort to 3D printing, but it seems like the only option. I wish they would make the old headbacks available to buy.

    39. Unfortunately, it does seem like that's the case. When I bought the Dollshe head I did, it was dead stock (from Dollshe, this was years ago) and the only option I had was for the faceplate version. I think a few years later he went back to the various full heads, which I strongly prefer for dolls in general.

I'm very glad my full FL boy (he's a Ruth) is a full head style. The one that fits in this thread is the FL65 body but has a Soom Chrom head (which I'm also grateful is a full head style). My Sugarable Genie head is faceplate style and while the magnets are strong, it can still get dislodged without serious effort, which is the problem I find with a number of faceplate type heads.

    40. Me here, again, with yet another dumb question about face connectors and head backs!

I have Rick (Mysterious Demon) and I really want to get the Year End & New Year release of one of the blank Rozen faceplates to switch out on Rick's body once in a while, but...
I'm still confused about the change to the face connector/head back.

Will the Rozen faceplate work with Rick?

I can't find the date of the release of either the new face connector or Rozen.

Or can I purchase the new release connector for new heads and put it on the older body?

      Help, please!

      :aeyepop:

    41. I believe Rick and Rosen will be compatible, because they’re both new f65 boys. I don’t have either head, so I can’t test that, unfortunately

    42. I have a Rozen faceplate and it fits the new face connector.

    43. Good to know! I still don't remember when the new connector was released but I'm thinking Rick was released before it was.
I guess I could pull his face off and look :mwahaha

    44. The new connector was released with Sylvia.

    45. Thanks!

Do you know if there's a database or a list of release dates for the special sets (full packages and all that) somewhere?
I've been looking at Fairyland's website and can't find anything.

    46. Not as far as I’m aware.

There is a YouTube channel which has videos of the full sets that can give an approximate date of when things were released. It only goes back till 2014 though. https://m.youtube.com/c/CPFairyland

There is also fairylands blog which has the information on major updates like new bodies also blank pictures of event heads. CP/Fairyland

    47. My new F65 Angela2 head is away being painted now, but I wanted to share a
major mod that I’ve completed on the body. I’ve loved the handling and posing
of the Feeple65 body for a long time, but just did not care for the huge bust.
I’d emailed Fairyland 15+ years back asking for a small bust option (which they
said at the time they were working on). So having had a wild hair, I ordered
another Angela2 to try a bust reduction. In the end it took two periods of
working on it to get it to where I wanted.

I hope that no one is offended by the headless body pix.

I will share more pix when her painted head returns, but in the meantime -

I made a thread in the workshop if anyone wishes to see more photos - I included
some “step 1” photos in that threads and the mods I did to her faceplate

    49. Wow that must have been quite a task! I really like it and agree...I'd love to see a smaller bust option! You did a fantastic job - I can't wait to see her when she is all complete again.

    50. Oh wow, that turned out really good! Very natural shape. Great job with the reduction!

    51. @Robyn_in_WA So super cool! Wow, you'll probably have an easier time fitting her into tops and dresses lol. Can't wait to see how the faceup comes out!!

    52. Thanks @Tippetarius !

Thanks so much @LyanneNZ !!! It really was quite the job. Once I thought I was
done, I looked at her more after reassembling, and then decided it wasn’t good enough
and took her apart again for more work. I’m very glad that I did. I can’t wait to see
the head when it returns too - she’s being painted now.

Thanks lots @Yuns !! The natural shape was absolutely what I was going after!

Thanks so much @Ctrowbridge77 !!! She can definitely wear shapely dresses now
and slip into the medieval gowns that I so enjoy making! Me too - can’t wait to have
her painted head back! I asked for a natural, elegant look for her painting.

    53. Hi all! I have a question, how can one hybrid a feeple65 girl if Fairyland no longer sells old head connectors? I was looking at the parts online and it seems that the new release connectors will only be compatible with Sylvia?

    54. Nuia showed up yesterday! I thought you guys might enjoy seeing her with a different wig and eyes. I love her! I'm super glad she has fantastic eyebrows (I have an Angela version 2 lol) and I think the stock faceup colors look pretty good on the lighter skin tone. The Angela outfit goes well with this set so I've been combining them. Nuia's shoes are really awesome. It's dark and rainy today so maybe I can take more pics tomorrow.

    55. Which head sculpt do you want to hybrid?
The new release connectors should be compatible with all the dolls released since Sylvia, I’m not sure about event heads but it should be like this:

      Original Connector
      Chloe
      Siean
      Lora
      OG Angela

      New Release Connector
      Sylvia
      Ine
      Ingrid
      Angela version 2
      Carol
      Nuia

She looks incredible. The eyes are a great choice. She has such a regal vibe.

    56. I am so PISSED right now. Bought a Rozen fullset and got the Rozen elf A event plate. Sent it off for a faceup back in October, and just received it back, and it won't fit on the doll! It won't snap into place on the headback, just pops back off. The regular Rozen plate fits just fine. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, is there a way to fix it? I spent a lot of money for the faceup and now I wouldn't even be able to sell the plate to recoup the cost, and I'm sure not gonna throw it away even though it's basically junk if I can't get it to stay on the headback. :vein:vein:vein

    57. @Stormlight I got two Rozen dolls, (one full set, one blank) and the smirking elf face plate, and both the vampire, and human smirking face plates along with 1 extra head back. And of the lot I found one face plate only fit the extra head back, one (the human smirk face) barely fit any of them but fit the extra head back better then the rest. And the blank default Rozen face plate didn't fit any of them even it's own head back was a poor fit. Which for me is fine as the Elf hot that head back and body any way. With my one face plate that just would not fit any of the head backs it looked like minor sanding could help it, but it's right now a spare/extra so not top of my least and I might try and get another head back for some of the floating plates later.

Long story short I have noted there does seem to be some minor differences between fit of the face plates and head backs, even between two otherwise identical face plates for how they will fit the same head backs. Before you fully give up on it, and/or mod it, maybe order an extra head back from either DDE or Fairyland and see if it fits that one. Heck you might even take pix or a video showing it doesn't fit and see if Fairlyland (or whoever you ordered from) will replace the head back.

I also have a Rick and an incoming Nuia elf girl, I should try the floating face plates on their head backs just to see how the fit of the "odd ones" are.
