I'd also like a preorder

 

Has anyone tried to order through Eosdoll directly?
I've sent 3 messages to JS and they didn't answer a single one so meh for them (and they haven't had what I want in a while). But Eos not taking paypal does worry me. So does anyone have experience they could share ?

 

@sahoma I ordered through Limhwa directly, because it was the only way to get To-L (The male sculpt) It was possibly a year or so ago, I would have to check, but I sent an email to her for a quote, then got the banking information and sent an international bank transfer. After confirming that the money had been received, I received my doll relatively quickly, as these things go. (Although there was a slight communications delay, as English is not her first language. that made me fairly antsy.)

So... I had a great experience, and I'd do it again :3

 

I'm thinking of buying a limhwa at some point and I was wondering what colour is the new urethane normal beige skin? Is it more yellow than pink and is the shade how dark? I prefer a bit more light pinkish tone on my dolls, so if the resin quite yellowish it may not suit my taste...

 

Aatos, my two Half-Elves are from late 2011 and early 2012, and they're pretty close to Volks matching, yellower than CP/Soom/etc. but not as yellow as, say, old Luts resin. Does that help?

 

snowgray: Sure it helps, thank you! It would be great if anyone with newer dolls could tell me if the colour has stayed the same. If it's still the same it seems that I won't be buying one, volks are too yellow for my taste.

 

Hey, everyone!) Does anybody know can an Eos body fit an elfdoll head? What color is better etc.

 

I thought the eos body would definitely fit a half elf head. I was thinking to buy myself a eos body because the half elf body is annoying me. The legs do not hold position and the body looks so big on the small head. And I do not know what clothing will fit.

 

I think Limhwa actually offers EOS body/old 57cm head hybrids if you ask for it in a preorder, so I assume the head fits. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that; still a newbie.)

Also contributing a picture of my new Luna, my first bjd, who I fall in love with more every day in spite of posing problems and a big booty that's hard to make clothes for.

 

Limhwa will put the older face sculpts on the new EOS body but you do have to specify so.

 

A quick question (and apologies for my ignorance here) but does anyone know what happened to Limhwa's site? There's a hyperlink on the EOS doll site ie. http://www.limhwa-1004.com that sadly doesn't work so I was wondering if, other than via Resellers such as Junky Spot, is there still an official Limhwa site that anyone knows of?

 

The site is now http://www.eosdoll.com/main.html but there isn't much on it. Limhwa and EOSdoll dolls are both on this site.

 

Artist Ji-Youn Jung has a flickr page here. She hasn't posted anything since EOS first releases but I'm guessing it's because she doesn't have anything new to share. (:

@ sidroq, ah, so then they just need to remove the invalid hyperlink on the home page at www.eosdoll.com ...my fault for not checking this listings properly at EOS itself or, having seen the 57cm category, I probably would have been able yo figure it out :P Silly me!

Stepping in here. Just bought an EOS girl from Junkyspot with the last of my tax return. Been admiring them for awhile so I caved. She looks like she'll pose really well. If she's anything like her mini counterpart.

 

Congrats on getting her Stormlight! I've had mine for a while now and I still love her.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what shoes she'd fit, for her heeled feet. I had a heck of a time finding heeled shoes for my mini EOS, so I'm hoping I won't need to go through the same thing with the big version, too. It's such a steep arch that normal heeled shoes don't seem to work very well (at least with the mini).

 

Most heels seemed to work alright, when my girl had her Limhwa body! Their feet are a little on the steep side, but not prohibitively. The main problem is their fat ankles, so if you're getting boots you have to make sure they're lace up so you have wiggle room.

 

Thanks! I just ordered a few pairs of Dollheart heeled shoes, and I think one's a pair of laced boots. Hopefully they'll all fit her well.

I hadn't checked their website in a long time, last time i went there i asked about ordering a half elf on the EOS girl body (which they said was okay btw, i dunno if anyone else had ever asked that)

but omg~ I love the new EOS girl.. i hadn't seen her before (and the new mini)

Lovely picture! Just a question. What's the difference between the normal body and eos body? Can she sit and pose better?

And a very important question: does the white urethane turns yellow like frech resin?

 

Can you tell me what body she has? She's gorgeous.

I really need a half elf, totally fell in love with her. Very sad I can't get her in french resin though... and although I love the more posibility of the EOS body... kinda thinking I may get the old body... I used to have a To You sara and LOVED her body. The old body looks more like that and gaw, it's just delish! I'll probably just suede her and wire her to get her to pose well... not sure yet.

Adriana: ack I never saw this I dont really know Ive never worked with the normal body or the french resin. I have pictures of her in different poses and I don't think her color has yellowed.

Riversoblood, I think you've been waiting for Heartbreak since before I even joined the hobby! I hope very much for your sake that she releases him again. Do you email her sometimes just to ask? I've been trying not to email her about ToL constantly, but I do ask about twice a year for a tan release. This is the most information I've ever gotten back, heh, usually it's just a very sorry, but no.

 

Haha, maybe, thank you! I used to email her occasionally, but I never got much back either. Maybe someday she'll change her mind yet!

 

From what I understand she still sells ToL, you just have to purchase straight from her instead of from a dealer.
It's exiting to hear she will be releasing a new male doll soon. Part of me hopes it's a 70cm male with a better proportioned
body than Mano/To-L, so I can upgrade my Mano's bod. Part of me hopes it's a mini so I don't have to buy more resin. DX

I'm hoping it's an SD size man!

She hasn't replied to my latest emails though, so I guess it'll remain a secret for now.

 

That is unfortunate. I think it was earlier in the year that someone was in the process of purchasing
a tanned ToL, at that time I was considering a white one myself. I guess I'm always too late, or too indecisive.


I'm very excited to see a new male doll from Ms. Ji-Youn Jung, I love her work and love her males' faces in particular.
A large male would be awesome (even if it means being tempted!) I hope we see progress photos soon, like she has
posted of her female dolls in the past. (:

I'm looking at the new Migidoll elf head, and wondering if he would work on the Eosdoll body as a girl...

 

Oh, that is a beautiful head. I think it would make a lovely girl.

It does look like the neck might fit without any modding -- the EOS body is supposed to have a 10cm neck just like the Migidoll male body.

Sorry I dunno about color matching though!

 

I thought I'd share my Half Elf over here too, since she turned out so well. I dyed a yellowed french resin half elf to a medium tan using iDye Poly and Rit Dyemore dyes for synthetics. Project journal is here.

Thank you! While I have all the supplies for doing faceups, I think I might send her to someone more experienced. I haven't decided yet.

 

Has anyone else seen the photos of her new 65cm boy on her Flickr? He is so pretty, I always wanted a Half-Elf boy, I think he might be a perfect replacement!
I never thought I would want to purchase another doll after so long, or even be tempted, but now I think I might be! DX I can't wait to see what the body looks like.

 

Yeah! I've been semi stalking it since last year when she said in an email that she was working on a new boy. LOVE the gentle little smile. He really looks like a Limhwa doll, her aesthetic is very defined. I am definitely going to get him.

I hope she will release him in tan! I asked about it in an email last weekend but no response yet.

So excited to see another boy from her after so long!!

The default faceup kinda makes him look like Julie Andrews to me ^^;

I've also been stalking her Flickr! I was hoping for a taller and/or broader guy than Mano, to replace my Mano's body with it but it seems he's going to be on the Mano body for now.
I'm guessing Ms. Ji-Youn Jung, is still in the process of sculpting the new body, which is going to be 2cm shorter than what I had hoped. He is so darn tempting, regardless of what
his body looks like.

 

I am so in love with this new boy. I NEED this doll. I really hope I can get my hands on him soon.

I just got an email back from JunkySpot that he is going to put in an order for the new boys. He's letting me special order a blank tan one, and says it will be about a 2 month timeframe. Sounds like maybe all the ones he's ordering for the shop will be with default faceups.

Just got the email from Junkyspot that my preorder To.M has arrived!! I paid the shipping immediately, and I hope he arrives at my place this week!

I don't know if more dolls are in this shipment but usually in the past Junkyspot has gotten them all together. So hopefully there will be some new dolls listed in the shop website soon.

I would love to see photos of him next to Mano; Ms. Ji-Youn Jung told me that TO.M will have the same body as Mano for now, but I want to see what the head sculpts look like next to each other
(because TO.M seems to have much larger eyes and I've made my Mano's eyes squinty-er than default). I doubt there are many people who own a Mano nowadays, but I'll hold my fingers crossed
that someone who still owns one will get a To.M as well. I definitely love the head sculpt, if he had a taller body than Mano I would be tempted to get him but seeing as he will eventually get a shorter
body than Mano, I can't say I'll be getting one. I would love to be able to get the head though. Maybe if the new body is broader, I might consider him at a later point. I'm not planning on adding any dolls
to my collection, I haven't purchased any since 2010, so I kind of like to keep it that way unless Ms. Jung decides to release a bulkier, taller male doll (then I can use their body for my Mano).
