Ahhhhhhh so tempting! I JUST sold my Toyou Sara but regretted it as soon as I did it... I want another... but I guess I don't HAVE to jump on it if J-Spot will be the dealer and I won't have to worry about not being able to order in the future.

 

This is exactly how I feel! I so badly want a Toyou Sara and was so disappointed to find out that they don't have a dealer anymore but once I found out JS is going to be a dealer I was so thrilled!

I went for the long-awaited Half-Elf in NS. I have the dreaming head for her here, along with her heel feet in the right color, and was starting to think that I would have a doll that was head and feet and nothing else forever. It may not be a perfect match with the bits I have, but I don't care at all -- I am just SO glad I will finally be able to complete that doll! *more happydancing ensues*

surreality: Oh, congratulations to the max for you! Half-Elf is my favourite Limhwa mold! I wish I had room for an SD-sized girl in my collection, just so I could get a chance at her, too (I seriously love how open and perfect her face is! but I just don't seem to get along with girl dolls, so it'd be a waste. I'm so stoked for you, though! I know exactly how you feel; I felt totally bleak scrounging around the MP for Monos, and even after I'd finally secured a boy in pinky-white (not french resin, though, thank goodness; that might just be a little bit beyond me), I was still secretly lusting after a white-white-white-WHITE boy. But, huzzah for Junkyspot, making both our dreams come true!

If she were just a head and feet, you could totally name her Jezebel. . (Though in that case, I believe you need a pair of hands as well) What do you have planned for her? I'm curious to know! I'm sure the matches won't be too 'off', either. If they are, you can probably fix that easily.

By the way, I've always been dying to ask you: where the heck is Midian? Every time I see that I'm at a loss!

From what I know and heard from Emory (JunkySpot) French resin doesn't seem like it will be an option anymore. Unless Limhwa changes her mind. I also put an order in...

I would think a new waiting room would be better since the old one is full of Dollfair drama and bad memories for all those who ordered and went through the ordeal.

 

You know, I'm tempted to do that -- my newly arrived Iple Eva became the character she was going to be, and fits her divinely. I'm thinking up new roles for her now, and thinking I might make her into another much-loved brain creature that's more sweet, because the half-elf face has that delicate sweet-but-not-vapid quality I just adore.

Midian is from Clive Barker's Cabal -- it's the city where 'all the monsters live'. The quote from the movie made about it was this: "Everything's true. God's an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian is where the monsters live." Since I have so many weird creatures and non-humans, it sorta fits the collection nicely.

Someone should e-mail Junkyspot and ask about them. I don't know if they're available -- I just see what I see on the post.

 

The high heeled feet seemed to be available as a gift when I asked Limhwa sculptor when I wanted to order from her. However, I'm not sure if she will include them for JunkySpot or not.

 

Is limhwa human discountinued?? I need her ;__; with Heel feet xD

I was just enquiring about a Limhwa Tanned Mono. I might end up waiting for his stock to come in though, since I'm not sure if I'd want faceup or without until I can see good photos of his general faceup. The one on the now defunct Limhwa.com has very orange lips. >:

 

If you go to the Mono Database, there's a few boys in there with the default face-up. It does look fairly orange to me, though.

I'll probably end up going for non-faceup but I pretty much just missed putting in an order. D: (Found out yesterday about it, got approved on the forum today.)

 

I'm not on Junkyspot's forum. I just sent an e-mail to the address for my order. I'd go without face-up, were I you (maybe send in an order, anyway, and ask if its too late? Nobody's been got back to yet, so maybe you'll slip under the line.) because even though it's a 'new company', it's still the same artist doing them, you know? So I bet that's not bound to change much at all.

 

Splynterhayde, I ordered a Leda in normal beige urethane without a face -up. I figured I could probably order the high heeled feet later if needed.

I've been checking my e-mail every couple of hours because I want to be prompt about paying the deposit!

I personally do not like the Limhwa face ups. They are too "glittery" for my taste so I ordered mine without a face up. I can't show the picture of someone who has a Mono (their rules) but I can tell you that the colors do seem a bit orange. Could be the camera of the owner -- could not.

 

BIG NOTICE:

You can get your current dolls (girls) on the new EOS body. Only normal skin and white skin though. That is, I could get my half elf on the new, double jointed body. This is something for all of you to consider if you're getting a half elf or other SD lady.

I'm also not a fan of the artist's faceups because the eyberows normally get painted on so low, making his face look more squished (and chubbier) than it really is. But I agree; I've never seen one in person, but I've been researching Monos for the past month, and all the default boys' face-ups, especially the tan ones, look orangey to me.

I've been a fan of Limwha for a good while, but I've had my head under a rock, so I didn't know about the issues with Dollfair...

I'll also be one of the people quietly hoping for Half-Elf to come back to us! She was a real stunner.

That said, the new girls are wonderful! Unfortunately the website isn't working for me, but the Flikr photos certainly do make me curious.

Can't wait to see more!

So I forgot that in ordering that new, busty body I will probably have a hard time finding clothing for my girl for when I get too lazy to sew my own designs. Seeing as she's very similar to Iplehouse SID are there any places that would sell clothes for the more curvacious, mature girls?

Have you try Dollmore? They do have clothes for their Model girls which are more bustier and curvier I believe.. :3

The new girls are really close to the measurements of Fairyland's F65 Chloe & Iple's SID girls, so you're pretty safe with getting Iple items for sure! My F65 Chloe fits wonderfully in a pair of Dollmore Model F Leather Pants in every way but the length, but I just tuck that part in the pant's leg...no biggie

 

I totally forgot about Dollmore! Thanks... haha, I've done a lot of window shopping for dolls for years but this will be my first girl so I want to get it right.

XD I have to admit I am nervous about the new body's bust. I'm a small busted girl and have never really liked big busted dolls but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the new body. It looks like it poses wonderfully, is absolutely gorgeous -- and double jointed + no need to worry about resin match. And I'm more than sure Half Elf head will look perfect for it.

Since I bought my Half Elf with the Eos body, I had to pay the Eosdoll price; $520 normal / white skin only (no tan option.)

I always LOVED Chloe but didn't want a full elf eared doll so I never jumped ship with her. However, she is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the tip about the length.

 

Oh my goodness! I can't wait to see a Half Elf on the new body!

 

I think she will look good as she is slightly larger than Nina so I am excited! I worried (and still am a bit) that the body seemed too mature for the Half Elf face but over all I'm pretty sure I'll be okay with bonding with her. In a way, having to deal with a skinny doll when I am skinny is like beating myself up twice. I don't want my doll to inherit my insecurities. :P

The only disappointment is that I wanted her in tan. Ultimately, all the horror stories I've read over the old body and posing kept me from choosing the old body. I also thought about future parts replacements. What if a hand broke? Limhwa tan resin batches are really SO varied that I doubt I'd be able to get a replacement to match whatever color mine would have come out with... it just didn't seem like a wise move for a first doll. I want to play with her and experiment; posing, different hands, feet, etc. (Normal skin is also more versatile as far as what colors look good, etc.)

Don't you worry -- if no one gets her with the new body before I do, I plan to post lots and lots of pictures of that new body.

Do any of you know what eye size is best for Half Elf? I'm looking for eyes that are realistic (more whites) but am not sure what size to order...

 

dollsoflace: What horror stories have you heard about the old 57cm body?

I'm curious because I want to order a Limhwa Luna and would be interested to hear of any problems inherent to the old body.

 

I had a half-elf with the old body and although it looked lovely I found it a horror to pose even when sueded so I sold her but now the new body is out I hope to order her again with that body later in the year as I think she was one of the most beautiful dolls I ever owned.

 

The body isn't too bad, but she is the worst poser I have (Luna). I need to suede her torso, and maybe get her hip pieces sanded down so she can sit better, but other then that, I love the old body...it's so beautiful!

Right now, my girl is just a sexy standing girl, but she's great at holding her legs wherever I put them...she does has a tendency to lean to the right (suedeing should fix that if I ever get around to doing it), and she likes to stick her butt out. However, her main squeeze is usually standing behind her, so I can totally understand her wanting to show off her assets

 

Yeah. Mostly it is the posing. I have talked to a lot of owners who say there isn't even a significant improvement after doing the good ol' suede treatment. And I really need a doll who can pose with more ease... Especially since she will be my first resin girl. I also thought that the Half Elf head looked a little big on the old body and imagine would look just right on the new one. I'm usually of the smaller head preference in contrast to body.

The new body is also double jointed and yet gorgeous. Not a lot of double jointed bodies out there are that beautiful. (Iplehouse is the only other one imo)

 

I just found a tutorial on here somewhere that helps to modify dolls who have posing issues! I'll post it when I find the link, again!

Lacey: All I'm hoping for, honestly, is a quick resolution to the Canada Post situation. I'd love him to be here before the 7th, since my friend chienism is coming with her mature minis and would love to do some more comparison photos! D:

It's very tempting to order from the Dutch site but for u.s. customers those pounds almost double the cost of the doll.
Does anyone know when Junkyspot will be taking orders for the new EOS?
