(I'm 4-5 months in on my own wait so seeing the October orders beginning to arrive is giving me hope!!)

 

My Ann boy showed up today, and he's lovely. I also received the extra torso. I'm always surprised at how compact DV boxes are, but that's nice since I'm running out of space. One of his ear magnets had come a loose, but it was easy enough to glue back on with some super glue.

I'll try to get some pics up by this weekend.

Yay on the arrival! Did it seem like the loose magnet was something that happened during transit? I didn't realize they would come with an extra human torso, that's such a nice addition l! Also apologies if this got asked already, but is Ann's tail hollow or solid?

@BaroquePopPrincess The tail seemed hallow to me. It still has a good weight to it because of it's size, but it doesn't feel completely solid.

And yeah I think it came loose during shipping. At first I though it was lost since I saw the empty space in Ann's head, but didn't see the magnet in the box, only to realize it was attached to the magnet of one of the ears. Not sure if BJDivas did that when the dolls arrived to them or if it got attached that way during shipping.

 

I placed my order for a Glen fullset! I’m so excited!! I’ve been thinking about getting a dream valley doll for a while and he was just perfect for me. I’m very tempted to order another doll from them now so I can nab one of the wolf dolls too. For now it’s just Glen

 

Here again Cecelia still haven't come, but I ordered one more doll and from Dream Valley again (it wasn't fair for them to make event with wolves!). I was warned that I shouldn't do that)
So now I'm waiting for Cecelia and her event pig from Feb and for blank Aiden with small event Aiden just ordered

 

Oh man I was so tempted when I saw the wolves but I just don't have the money. XD Or inspiration to do anything with them, pfft. I'll just enjoy everyone else's!

On my waiting note, it's now mid-April n that's about the 5-month mark of a wait, so my Athos should be shipping soon! >v< I got my eye trained on my email for the shipping notice.

just got confirmation that my event doll ann is shipped and o her way i bought her december 25th im really hopping she gets here before i leave this weekend since she is being shipped by air though i really doutb it lol

 

They're so expressive, i love emotive sculpts! But also Mia is so pretty, I'm glad she's not limited cause my funds sure are

Gah me too!! I have been staring at both my email and my front door in hopes of either a shipping notice or a surprise arrival....I'm proud of us for making it this far!! I've got all fullsets so I'm a little worried they'll take longer....

The surprise release happened to me when I ordered twins from another company! D8 My post doesn't like actually freaking messaging me when they get stuff, n they took them to the post office instead of my door without telling me.

But omg I've always wanted a doll of this character..... always, and I tried in the past to make my own (cloth) and failed, so man am I excited. >v< I'm more excited than for any other doll. I'm even thinking of attempting learning to sew JUST so I can do his outfit myself, or at the very least, I'll commish it out. >v< I hope your bab comes to you soon! My heart always hits the floor getting shipping notices, haha!

 

I hope they let you know this time around, i have a feeling the shipping box is going to be too big to ignore XD

I ordered December 25th for my first layaway payment. They take a while!
I emailed Alice to update my address on her website, cuz it had reverted to the wrong one for some reason, and apparently she'd inquired about the ship date for me while she did.

She said he should ship for me in 14 more days! TWO WEEKS, I'm so excited! That's May 6th-ish for shipping without getting here, exactly, so that sholud give some folks a good example of time frame who ordered in December.

Me and BaroquePopPrincess ordered about the same time, and theirs shipped sooner, so I'm pretty it varies a little bit. Overall, by the time he actually arrives, I think that's about 5 months.

I was worried some would take longer because of faceups and fullsets but It seems like everyone has had around the same 5 month wait?
Meanwhile I've been gently refreshing the tracking AC gave me for my dragons...at least they're in my country now? Darn holiday weekend...

Yeah my boy has no clothes or faceup, which makes the wait consistent with everyone even more interesting, cuz that means they're FAST AS HECK getting you guys up to par and shipped out! Cuz your boyo has his entire outfit and faceup on the way n he shipped faster than Jester will! I can't wait to see pics of him!

I already even have someone in mind to commission for his clothing pieces, IF I can't do it myself. I'm gonna be broke for a whole year but damn if it ain't gonna be sooooo worth it. XD

I ordered the dragon mama from Alice's Collecfions and my boy (he still doesn't have a name orz) from Denver Doll Emporium, and there's no shipping notice for him yet, though I have feeling it will be coming soon!! You're still right though, cause i ordered both Adela and her dragon bby with faceup so I'm glad they shipped out as fast as they did...and which is why I'm a tad worried about my guy. >>;;

Usually i buy second hand/from less expensive brands and make hybrids, so this was expensive but everyone who's received their dolls are very happy with them so I know I'll love mine too! ...I wonder if anyone else ordered an Elias? I'll be happy to show mine a lot for anyone interested in owner pics of the sculpt!

Oh yeah, tell me about it, pfft my wallet hates me. I have to get him jointed long-nail hands still, too. That'll be a "hybrid" thing, cuz the company I want those from are obvs different than DV, which doesn't have those, but man I can't wait.

I saw a company across my Twitter dash today that released a set of priest robes, and I am REALLY contemplating buying it. Athos' shoulders are narrower than the shoulders on the outfit, but it's probably doable, and the arms are a lil short, which is also okay because I can just customize my own cuff sleeves if I want. But I'm contemplating getting that too, as an alternate outfit. PFFT. I lavish my dolls in more things than I do for myself.

 

Oh that makes sense! I should put all this extra energy towards clearing a spot in my room for an SD XD

Yes!! I'm wishing I got the body blushing now, but I'm glad I got the faceup. There's so few of them, it seems, I can't wait to get my hands on him!

@Cloudedmind - They're from Doll Legend, their 70cm hands! I'm going to sand them into points.

 

@Pigxels Ah, cool. I saw those earlier on Alice's Collection since I was looking for a pair of jointed claw hands. I haven't really seen any claw ones just the nail version, which could potentially work for my needs.

 

@Cloudedmind - Yeah me too! It was difficult. But I concluded since Jester's claws are black (under his gloves) that sanding and epoxy discoloration won't matter because I'll just paint them when done. So once I add some epoxy to make them longer, I'll just sand them down sharp myself, instead. You could do that too if you wanted really long curved ones!

 

@Pigxels Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same since my guys hands are also likely going to be completed painted anyway. Please let us know how you claw project goes. It'll probably be a while before I get around to mine, since3 I have at least two other projects I want to do first.

I put on layaway a Dream Valley Cecelia fullset in Tan back in February. I hope she'll be here soon! BJDivas said it can take 5-6 months wait time for Dream Valley. Is that what you guys have found out for wait times?

 

Waiting rooms are wonderful to keep your mind occupied during the wait and see how others are getting along! Cecelia is a beautiful sculpt, congrats!

Yeah, that's pretty much been the wait times. I have two orders with DV; the first already came in 5 and a half months and I'm still waiting for shipping notice for the second one DV tan is really beautiful, i can't wait to see your girl!!

I was super on the fence about whether I wanted to order Glen or not but I ended up doing so. I hope he looks cute sitting next to my Ann because that is the space I have spotted for him.

I don't really know where the others are going but I have months to figure that out.

 

Can verify the 5ish month wait! My Athos is going to ship in another 10 days, according to Alice's Collections asking them real quick for me a week ago. :] I'm so stoked, I have a whole outfit, eyes, wig, cap, lashes, paint, and his dye ready for him before he even gets here. His jester clothes will take a while to make on my own, but I'll have his priest design alllll ready.

 

I love tanned dolls! So I jumped at the chance for a tan Cecelia. I got her elf version w/ wings fullset complete with all the blushing (except I asked them to customize the colors a bit! I wanted Belinda's colors with Cecelia's design)! I'm so stoked about the wings. ♥ I bought her an extra torso piece so I can have her without the wings!

Who else is purchasing Cecelia???

I haven't seen Belinda either. I think people like Cecelia's softer face than Belinda's grumpy face.

Oh that's fair, not a lot of people have gone for the tan so far but i think there's at least one or two tan DV dolls out there!! And the color was absolutely gorgeous from the pics! I'd have gotten tan if it was in budget >< I would check the discussion threads for the tinies first as i remember someone having a tan Ding?

And I'm waiting for a fullset Elias in ws! Reading back tells me you've got a bit of a custom order with your fullset? I'm always anxious to ask for custom things with my order, was it an extra fee?

The dragons are so adorable! I am sad I missed that event! I wasn't around when that happen so it sucks seeing past stuff happened. Haha.

Ooh! I can't wait to see your Elias. The boys look very handsome and I'm curious to see them from owners. It's a semi-custom since I just wanted red on the tan than blue. It wasn't extra since it wasn't too much of a big deal thankfully. I would've been fine to pay extra anyway. I would be anxious too to get something custom but since it was just swapping colors, I thought it would be fine.

I want Mia so bad! Like her outfit and how they used the third arm really made the third arm look CUTE! Like what??? lol I wasn't a fan of the third arm, tbh. But when I saw Mia, I was like, "UH I LOWKEY WANT." I don't know if I should try to layaway her before the event ends or just wait. She's not limited so I don't need to sweat it too much.

Will keep an eye out when the time comes. Hehe. Right now, I'm trying to be good but temptation is super hard, as you know.

And yes! I was happy they would do it. I'm stoked to see how she'll be. I'm doing her on layaway so the wait isn't too bad for me. IDKY, but putting a doll on layaway makes me less anxious than paying in full. Like it makes the wait feel like less.

The same thing happened to me when Peanut was available. I just barely missed him when I joined the hobby. I did find him second hand though. But until I did I just looked at pictures and made sad noises because that weird cat thing managed to be like the grail XD.

I think Itll be pretty likely to find the dragons secondhand fairly soon because out of all of the event dolls those have been the easiest to order since the big one was actually available for order and when you ordered her you could purchase a little one. (And I think they were also monetary based in addition? But I can't remember for sure)

Which is a lot easier than spending $550 to get a blank fox because the fullset Ann/ Ian wasnt enough money to get you there by themself. (And same with the Wolves. A fullset wolf boy w/ the additional body blushing isnt enough to get you a blank wolf. )

The ordering quotes are quite steep for Dream Valley I noticed. With Cecelia's event, I bought her fullset w/blushing EVERYWHERE + tan + extra torso/tan + extra outfit in order to qualify for 2 event dolls. Both have happy homes from the order but like WOW!

I'll keep my eyes peeled but it's no biggy. I like the dragon but I don't know what to do. lol

@sugarcactus Thank you! The 51cm body is for my Resinsoul Li head (it's my oldest head and goodness the child has been finicky about bodies), and the 65cm is for my Peak's Woods Segi head. I'm so excited about both of them!

 

I kissed all my money good bye for this month too. I had No self control.

I wanted to order a blank Silence and a blank Cerise but waited until an event happened so I ended up ordering Cerise with the new 27cm body, traded Silence for Mia... and then ordered Dumpling... and Glen... and then got wolf Aiden.

I'm glad I waited because I got a head sculpt and a body I liked better. But there goes like spending 2x the money.

I haven't seen too many people order Rosa. So that'll be cool when you get her. And Dumpling is way too cute- did you get a face or just blank?

 

I also have bought outfit, but I can't find anything more to wear for her! She is so slim that I can't find anything that will fit. Have you already looking for something? I'm really confused about it.

I went all blank and all WS - I split face-ups between my own, Angel Toast and Company default but I liked Aiden blank so figured I'd lean that way with them all.
