Dream Valley Waiting Room #2

My usual strategy while waiting has been "gaze longingly upon the doll's promo pics every couple days" I also have a ton of scrapbook paper and things that I've collected for doll pics, and I like to think about what might make for nice pics with new doll.

Milien and Esther are so pretty ;; I'd love to get my Maurren some sisters, but alas, I don't have the space or the dollars at the moment. His harpy wings are absolutely incredible, and I"m sure your girl's will be just as amazing!

 

He is here!!! I came home from work to find him waiting for me and I can't wait to do a box opening on Monday when I have a day off. So happy to have my little crow home finally

 

Forgetting about order for about 5-7 months, because otherwise it's impossible to not getting mad from waiting

 

I forgot to update that my Cedar arrived back on February 17th from BJDivas! I didn't get to open him until the 21st though as I had been out of town for a family Disneyland trip when he arrived.

And I also got a notice from BJDivas on March 3rd that my Maurren arrived to them! So just waiting for him to ship.

Just waiting on three other DV orders now, lol (Ehecatl, Chimera, and White Moss Moth).

 

I have the feathered winged Serpent (green tail) and a Moth (normal) both blank. Thinking the Serpent would be arriving from June (unsure if I am being too optimistic with that estimation).

 

My blank Serpent is on his way from China! Can't wait to see him!

 

@Nelissya how exciting! When did you order? Mine was mid August, I got a green tailed one (blank). Mine was via Alice Collection.

 

End of July, blank wall white, directly from Tao. I think that maybe colored will be later, but who knows.

 

So a bit longer for me then, looking forward to seeing yours (I am wondering how to handle such a long bjd tbh ). Tao is Taobao?

 

I got the tracking number for my Maurren yesterday! I hope I'll like him as much as the Cedar.

I also can't wait to hold this 132cm long beauty. On redbook they don't look very massive. It will be training before getting 160cm dragon from DZ ))

 

Hi there! I just wanted to update my entry in the waitlist for my Ehacatl-order, because he's only just arrived this weekend, but the month of July has disappeared completely. Does anybody know what happened there?
Anyway, he's gorgeous. I think I never spent so much time unboxing a doll. Everything was wrapped real well, and I'm extremely happy with the body blushing. It's all crafted and painted so well, and man, is that snake body long! It feels almost like handling a real snake.

 

@Ophiaca - Ooh, good to hear it! Feel like sharing photos? Maybe my snake boys will get here by my birthday, then!

I'm sad I had to pass on the twin birds. Maybe some day.

 

Yesterday I made the preorder for Sonata - Moonlight (Fullset) with ACBJD! She'll be my first resin. These next 6-9 months are gonna feel so terribly long

 

@Sianserais I do feel like it, but I don't think I'll have time until the weekend. I hope they turned out ok and are presentable at all, the lighting was terrible and I had to use the flash.
Sadly one can't get every amazing doll, but maybe one day you'll get another chance.

I'm still waiting on my Moss moth lady, but I'm hoping in the next couple of months we'll start to get tracking on those.

Thank you! No, it's not the fullset. I only chose the special parts (mask and wings) and body blushing, but no outfit, wig or faceup.
I ordered July 22 with AC and paid in full, if that helps? The details were all in the waiting list, but it's gone now somehow. :-/

Ooh, that does, I ordered from AC too, paid in full, though blank ... paid 21st August. So I have maybe 3 weeks?

 

I ordered a Moth lady... 4 arms with the headback and lovely shoe detail was too much to resist I have June as a possible (for me) as I bought her 2 months after the Serpent. Not looking forward to more large boxes going to have a think about what to do with them tbh.

I think it may be possible, but on a solid surface. Maybe without wings, they change balance quite noticeably.

Just placed an order for Sonata (full set) through acbjd... I was not expecting to get a new doll this year but I kept going back to look at her since the announcement. I think I'd be upset if i missed out on her!

 

Anyone know roughly the time line will be on shipping the Chimera full sets?

 

If it is any help, fullset dragons (which is blush only) and my blank serpent naga took 8 months to ship.

 

My friend and I are waiting for the Twin Birds (Milien x2). I can't wait to get her, haha! But I assume she will come by the end of the year.

DV is already tempting us by showing new sculpts, smh.

My snakes have just shipped, I am both excited and a little scared.

 

Sorry to double post but my snakes are here! DHL beat up their boxes pretty badly and the poor boys took some damages in shipping sadly. My un-named all green boy has his face up chipped, and my full set had a tiny bit of resin break out of his right arm in the shoulder peg. Full set boy is otherwise fine and everything still works/poses fine in spite of that. However poor Green guy might need the whole face up wiped and redone. T_T

Otherwise perfect boys and I love them best sneks these dolls, they can do no wrong. And not just mine I love every single version of these dolls I see, everyone's snakes are so lovely

 

Wow, rude of DHL and yet somehow impressive that they managed to do that much and that little damage at the same time. I hope your green guy's faceup goes well. Also, I did not realise they were 4'6 in total until I saw your post on the other thread.

 

Really sorry to hear how your snakes arrived, the courier must have really badly mishandled them as they are packed really well. Which colours did you get? Is the green one, white upper with green tail?

 

ACs going to contact DV about the damages for me so there is that.

As for the shipping issue I have had bad luck and issues with the local side of DHL in the past legit a driver once put a package from smart doll in a trash bin in my yard vs putting it by the door in line of sight. I was for a while keeping a record of the weird places DHL would leave packages around the house, only the last few things sent by them have been by the actual front door. That said the guy who dropped off the snakes was so far the best DHL guy I've had deliver something. The door bell cam showed him not only setting them down gently, but he stopped one from tipping and readjusted them nicer by the door. So the last DHL person to handle them wasn't likely the one or ones that beat up the boxes.

As for what colors I got, mine are the black tailed with white upper body full set with the green tongue. and my green boy is fully green body and tail, he has the same head and face up as the full set boy. Neat thing to note the tongue is a separate part from the head. My plan is to leave the tongue off the green boy and keep his tongue as a spare for the full set just in case.

 

Hi! I've been away from the forums for a long time, but I did try to skim recent posts in this thread; is it okay to ask whether anyone know when the chimera Hylander full sets will ship? Or is that sort of up in the air?
(I ordered through Denver Dolls, btw)

 

After only 3 months, my Jiu Er Mao body arrived! Ordered from Alice's Collections, it arrived from China to Spain in only a week. It was super fast and this body is incredible! I can only recommend it

 

NewClover got back to me over the weekend, and my Moth will be shipping soon!
I had to pay a $31 handling fee because of Tariffs, since I'm in the US, but I'm glad it's finally ready.

 

I'm waiting on Chimera full set too in normal skin- be told 7 to 8 months. So could be end of this month or next month.

 

I got a shipping notice from DDE for my Ehecatl! Finally! So excited after the box openings others have done!

Ordered Sonata - Moonlight from Alice's Collections on 20 April. Peeking through the waiting room it looks like the wait time is upwards of 6 months but usually more like 7-10 months at the moment? I did get body blushing so expect that will take longer.

 

I ordered her from Alice Collections. She might get to me by tomorrow.

 

I ordered through AC so I hope mine heads out soon!

 

She got here on Fri and I opened her on sat. I will share pictures on her later today. Sadly one of her ear magnets came out (need to reglue it )and her outfit is terrible. Very light weight (Shorts are see though and shorts ,arm/ leg / neck pieces are made from crappy materials. Going to make her a leather outfit .

 

My Moth just delivered!!! I wasn't expecting her for a few more days, but she randomly showed up today. Thankfully I was home!
UniUni is certainly a different shipping experience...

I'll open her after work and will post pics/vids on my insta. Once I have those I'll load them here and maybe I'll actually do a box opening thread this time.

 

Magnets are an easy fix (if you have the magnet that is ) but what a shame with the outfit maybe add a layer to hide the see-throughness ?

@Beansproutmomo wow, she looks amazing! And yey! for photos! TY! the contrast of the resin looks lovely. Looks like the wite resin isn't DV 'wall white' which was what was mentioned earlier. So excited to see mine (I ordered NS though, hoping I don't regret that ).

 

Alice's has shipped my blank Ghost Moth in regular white as of yesterday via a carrier called SF International. Everything crossed for no crazy tariffs and her safe arrival!!

 

@Beansproutmomo your moth is amazing!!!!!!! I love her in the dragon eyes and that wig!

Are those notches in those shoulder joints I see on those pics? How do you find her posing?

 

Thanks y'all! YES I can confirm that her white accessories are more of a mellow bone white perhaps.
Her Coco Brown resin wasn't as dark as I had hoped either, but it still looks very nice. I'll try to get some outside sunny pics soon!

These are just temp things she's wearing, but I'll make her own things soon.

Good eye! YES She seems to have ratcheting gears on all of the shoulder pieces and they work GREAT! The clicky noise is fun too, and the notches engage well on all 4 arms.
