Ooh, nice to hear the dragons are starting to ship! I assume mine will be a while yet...

Yeah, I know Cryptid ordered like a month and a bit before me and in white vs the fullset I got. But the turnaround on that is still very impressive and means maybe August for mine rather than the just-before-November I was otherwise hoping for.

 

i placed a layaway order on Alice's collections in January (5th), have since paid in full. I have never used Alice's collections before and was wondering is your order supposed to show up your account on their website after paid? i dont want to bother them with status emails if i dont have to but not sure how to check on the status of my order.is it just via email?

 

If you go to Your Account, the order should just be there with the date, the order number, your name and then the status, the amount and a big purple-y View button to view details. If it hasn't shipped yet, it will be marked as Processing, if it has shipped then the order status will change to 'Delivered' even if the package hasn't arrived yet. You will also get an email titled Order Update #YourOrderNumberHere which will give you your tracking number and sites to track it on.

If it hasn't showed up on Your Account then you probably should email them.

I did layaway as well and it doesn't show up in your account. I think its because we did layaway. I 'm also going pop an email off to them just to see the status. I have ordered from them before, many dolls with no problems.

 

Alice's is really great about communication, so if you're worried, definitely email them! I've done 3 layways with them, but I never checked the status on the website. They always let me know when the dolls arrived and would be ready to ship and sent the tracking info promptly. If you started your layaway in January, depending on the complexity of your order, this is about the time you might start hearing from them about shipping.

 

I just heard from AC which was super fast response. For my dragon they said 1 to 2 months more before shipping because I got the full set.

 

So I got my second box, and, uh...mistakes were made. Linking my unboxing video thread as to not derail things too much. Like I said there, I've already reached out to Alice's.

 

That's very very unfortunate. I wonder if there was mix up at the warehouse since the wings and body shipped out separately. I hope you can get this sorted out! I ordered my full set in January and I may not see for a little bit.

 

I ordered my dragon through DDE, in black. I'm still making payments on him, so I feel I'll be here a long while yet.
I ordered blank my plan is to use neon green paint for some highlighting and go for a evil-ish toxic look. However the boy well be a total sweet heart just look all edgy. XD

My was PIF blank 1/4 but in the red resin. I suspect the white resin dragons are shipping first.

 

I have a Maurren on layaway and took advantage of the Uncia in stock at DDE as my birthday gift. Hopefully snow leopard boy will be home next week - Maurren has months and about 4 more payments to go.

 

Dragon update, round 2: got tracking for my redone dragon already! It was sent yesterday and his expected arrival is Thursday. I noticed that unlike the initial shipment, which was in two boxes, this is coming as one nearly 12 lb box.

Fingers crossed for you that your second dragon is the correct one.

I am a little relieved that - if this is the right one - they're shipping the 1/4 scale ones in one big box not two.

 

Updates: he arrived yesterday, two days earlier than the expected date. HOWEVER: still in two boxes, I found out. The 12 lb monster of a box was just his body (plus the extra neck piece that's a replacement for the busted one) and the wings will come separate. I reached out to Alice's for tracking info for the wings, as my FedEx number only showed the one box, and they reported the initial box for the wings had damage, so they were getting that taken care of and expected to get me my tracking number by the weekend. I'm guessing after the initial mix up, they're being super cautious.

Also: oh my god he's HUGE. An absolute monster. I'm waiting for the wings and my new microphone to get here before I edit video and record, but I'm hoping I can properly get across the size of him.

 

I am so excited to see a proper 1/4 size boi so I can better anticipate what size stuff I need to build for mine.

 

I can't wait to see more owner images, as I wait and slowly pay off mine. Which I no longer plan to pay off early, as I need a snake man as soon as they can be ordered.

 

OMG this is so exciting! But also slightly terrifying! I hope the wings arrive soon @Crissaegrim !

 

I would really really like my dragon to arrive soon but I haven't even had a shipping notification yet. Which is fair enough, Cryptid's boi is white and mine is the fullset lava so between special resin casting and painting, I'm expecting a longer delay.

Unfortunately, I think the global outage that downed all those flights today is going to delay my receiving them. I was originally thinking Monday; now I'm hoping for mid-week next week.

 

Ordered an Ehecatl and am impatient to get him so I can start sewing and crafting for him XD

 

And seventeen months later…the post office lost my package.

BJDivas said they will communicate with the post office to search for it, and will keep me updated.

It’s just funny because I had another box from BJDivas ship with that one, that arrived safely weeks ago. It just had to be the box with the (replacement) B4-19 body that vanished. What an adventure this has been.

 

My 1/6 Griffin, that I ordered through Clover Singing, has finally shipped after 6 months of waiting!

Out of curiosity, which colour resin did you choose and did you get it painted?

Ooooh, okay, that's useful. It will be interesting to see whether other people get their red/black unpainted 1/4 dragons soon.

 

I ordered some snake boys I live here now this waiting room is my home.

I'd add them to the waiting list, but there isn't listings for August 2024 on it and I have forgotten how to add months to the main list.

 

I ordered one of the snake boys (I got the metempsychosis fullset)! Now I just have to prepare myself to patiently wait for the next couple months

Which of the snakes (sculpt/color) did you end up getting? There were a lot of really cool resin colors available for the blank dolls!

I got the full set for Metampsychosis, as needed him he is perfect goth boy snake, though going to give his wings to another of my dolls. I also got a solid green snake with that same head and face up, no extras. I'll add myself to the list in a bit now that there is a place for August orders. ^_^

I love the different sculpts they released, if they would’ve sold the heads seperately I would’ve considered picking up the close-mouthed one too. I really like the Rule fullset, but that open-mouthed tongue sculpt, I just couldn’t say no

Same, I ordered 2 for the heads lmao. I'll sell the body secondhand... I'm sure someone will want it considering these are getting discontinued. I thought about getting tan too but Dream Valley's tan isn't my pref from what I've seen, so I'll prob just dye mine.

 

My dragon came already! I wasn't expecting him until next week! And unlike my merman, both parcels came at the same time...I don't know why it was shipped in two parcels since the boxes are small enough to fit in a larger box...but oh well. Pics coming soon.

 

@lynxie - Nice to know I'm not the only one. I have to say I'm also a bit surprised they didn't have an option for multiple heads. I thought about dying mine, but I wanted that faceup too, so... I hope you can make yours the color you want!

Here he is! The red resin is very nice. With the wings, he becomes top heavy but you can mess with the legs and have the tail to balance. The segments of the wings fell out when I unpacked it, but can easily pop back in. Similar to DV's Flo dragon. Overall I'm very happy with this guy. I just need a name for him.

Oh look at the blushing, it's great to see a full set. He looks amazing and I'm glad you love him.

Now I just need mine.

 

That gold looks really nice against the red; I'm excited to see other people's dragons coming in. Will you be doing any additions to the company blushing?

And yeah, naming is *hard*. Mine is still getting called loverboy while I brainstorm.

The area around the eyes could use some blushing and I can get a dark red pastel for it...but knowing me I'll ruin it which means having to wipe off everything including the company blushing...so probably not unless down the road the company blushing starts to chip.

I might call him 'Aka' which means red in Japanese haha. or 'Tanko' which is dark red. My Whale Tower Refeyah is called 'Kiniro' which means gold in Japanese.

 

I have a 1/4 fullset in red from Alice's, but I didn't order until late February, into the extended order period. If it's here before my birthday (November) I'll be happy. Especially as seeing owner photographs/video has only increased my excitement.

 

Yay! He looks great! I'm surprised to see a full set one so soon! I ordered the larger dragon in red, but no blushing, in January from AC. BUT I also ordered a full set of the rider girl so perhaps that will delay my order ...

 

@middletails - I love his expression - he looks like he's plotting something. Maybe name him something to do with being devious? Also looks like a pretty nice size for the small version! Congrats!

The legs aren't super articulated...but I guess it makes sense they need to support something very top heavy...but you can still get some nice poses either way.

 

@middletails - Ooh, thanks for the eye-candy! Lots of personality there! Lessee, maybe happy, pleading, angry, confused, embarrassed, and back to devious.

 

I am really impressed at the balance achieved. Is he particularly tightly strung? I know Dream Valley are infamous for that.

Did the eyes come with him?

Still waiting on my Red. (He's going to be my display for my book launch. I have a dragon in my book series named Red.) I ordered my dragon in Jan. In red as well with company blushing/faceup. Seeing all the dragon posts I hope he ships to me soon.

One of his legs is a bit tightly strung...can't push it in all the way...but isn't a huge deal.

I bought the eyes from a doll show when I was in Tokyo. I thought ahead of time and bought a couple of 8 mm dragon type eyes for really cheap over there. (They were 'B' grade eyes, but they look perfectly good to me.)

LOL! Too bad I don't have an ice cream prop...that would have made it funnier! I think with 1/4 with the jointed hands, you could achieve some interesting poses.
