Dream of Doll: DoT and DoI - Part 6

Ugh, its looking like I might need to sew Orrell some clothes. Unfortunately, I only know how to hand-sew, so it'll take me a while to decide what to do first.

I'm going to look up those sites, @Shido. They might have something that he likes. He wears some pretty wild outfits, so if they don't have anything he'd like, I'll need to get creative!

Just finished the wig and one of the outfits I had planned. Only a beginner, so it's not perfect. The curls still need a bit of "training" not to stick out so much.

@Morri_P. You made that wig? Wow! It's very cute, I love the curls.

Yesterday I cleaned up my crew a little--they'd gotten dusty, so I had to wash and iron their clothes, replace some buttons, etc. Did I mention I'd been out of the hobby for awhile? So they're looking a lot better. Now I need to figure out how to restyle a wig. I'm no good with my own hair, so this will certainly be an adventure.

 

@ryuunohime, @Morri_P. , have you tried using liquid laundry detergent on your wig?

If you work a little bit of it through the wig itself (I usually use my fingers), and then rinse it out carefully by swishing it around in a sinkfull of warm water to rinse, it helps tame it and make it easier to restyle. This only works with fiber wigs.

@Yumeiro I thought it was worth a try, I don’t speak Korean so googling wasn’t going anywhere!

 

I wonder if human hair conditioner would work?

I would check in the Workshop section here on DoA to see if anyone has posted a tutorial on what to do.
