Dollshe Discussion - Part Sixteen

@Shai There should not be a difference between the 28M Classic and the 28M Classic Maxi. Dollshe added Maxi to the name of the standard full size doll when he started making a mini version of the body called 28M Classic Mini. I don't think Dollshe made any changes to the bodies measurements when he updated the name.

In fact using the Wayback Machine to go back to when the dolls were just called 28M Classic, and checking the measurement between the two, they're exactly the same. So either Dollshe didn't update their measurements if they did change or SJ miss made the pants. And, I'm leaning towards them having miss made the pants if literally every other aspect fits perfectly.

 

@Cloudedmind Thank you...so I'm not crazy. Unfortunately it's been three years (literally how long it took to get the doll) and SJ's answer to my query was "just keep pulling, they'll fit", then your doll must be bigger because I've never heard of that size. I eventually got them on, but they did not want to go over the calves...so much so I'm fairly certain the pants will rip in time. I'm really bummed as that full set cost an arm and a leg.

Yeah, the 28M Classic body was the original one released with David and Grant back in the day.

I think that could be the "Classic Maxi" they're referring to as as some point Dollshe got caught up trying to make two versions of each doll for some reason? Most confusing.

 

Does anyone have any news on the 50cm (55cm?) body/dolls? Have some gone out to customers yet?

 

I don't believe those ever made it past the prototype

 

I 2nd the thought that they've never gotten past the prototype/pre-order stage.

 

I've been waiting for one for three years. No news, not even a hint of progress on this size.

 

Oh no! I thought that they were totally cancelled and everyone who ordered was asked to pick one of my the more standard sizes or refund.

 

After nearly 4 years of no progress, no updates, no anything, I'd assume the project has been shelved indefinitely. But that's only my view on it.

 

If only that were the case.

 

@ohsi I believe I received the email mentioned (I'm trying to find it in my inbox). It definitely mentioned the cancellation of the 50-55cm line though. I definitely recommend writing to Dollshe (or dealer, if you ordered via a dealer) with your order number to inquire about status, to see if dolls ordered prior to the official discontinuation will still be produced. I have a feeling he's not doing them, and you may be asked to select a different size of doll or opt for a refund.

 

dollshe is not forward with these things. You gotta hunt him down and ask for a refund yourself, otherwise he won't ever admit a project was cancelled.

I already emailed the dealer recently and was just told to wait. No mention of choosing a different size or getting a refund.

 

Help! I ordered a Diana 16 F September 2020. She still has not arrived. I am starting a weekly messaging campaign. How on earth do I get them to send her to me?
