Dollshe Classic 8B (39cm) Robin & 6G (35cm) Rosa

Just an FYI, I discovered that Rosa can wear some things sized for the Iple JID's. I saw this dress on Etsy and it was 3/4 length on the JID it was pictured on and I wondered if it would work on Rosa..................it came yesterday and fits her perfectly as a floor length dress! I was so excited. I thought I'd share.

My Robin finally arrived. He seemed more anxious to travel then come here so I think his name will have to reflect that. I have most of tomorrow for photos, and clothes testing. Anxious to see who this guy is. His Uncle Stone is very happy he's safe and home.

I gave my Robin a face-up today. He has been sat patiently waiting for his face-up since i bought him in January on the Marketplace. I think he looks like a little mini Robert Pattinson

Thank you Mikki, i will do I love how he has come together - he has already made his presence felt in my collection. He may be little but packs as much character into his little body as my 70cm Arsene. I have the best of both worlds now!

I was able to get a copper oriental Rosa from a friend in the meantime.............so far I'm just calling her Rose

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but has anyone tried Rosenlied Holiday Child's clothes on Dollshe Robin? They seem to have very similar measurements and I think outfits made for HC can also work well on Robin, but it would be great if I could see some pictures before I buy this HC outfit I have in mind... Can anyone help?

 

Well I finally got a faceup on my Rosa! Now I wonder where I can find her some shoes. I got this dress but forgot what kind of doll it was meant for. I wish I'd remember...so I could get her more clothes.

Yes, they shipped from BJDivas this week and are due to be delivered to me Friday. I have to send them out for face ups, but at least the long wait is almost over, lol! I do really like these little kids a lot!

 

After waiting almost 14 months for this little cutie she is finally home. I also got a tan Owen and an oriental Robin. All 3 need to go out for face ups but wanted to share Angela blank. She is in pale tan.

Oooooo!! I love her, even without a faceup! I'm sorry they have discontinued this line. I don't know if I could stand to wait 14 months though.

 

Wow, even without a face-up she's already so lifelike! Great choice of eyes, wig, and outfit for her!

 

I got my twin Robins three weeks ago, started their faceup.. and I have yet to get around to finish them, but I got their eyes today : )
I tried a pair on one of the heads, they re 8mm. They gap a little, but I like the iris size.
(That last layer isn't sealed lol I had to be very careful handling his head *living dangerously™*)

Well, @AubreyMeeksArt, hopefully your wait isn't as long as mine was for my little Robin, Angela and Owen. They are worth it though. I really love the little kids and there really don't seem to be many of them around. I'm still waiting to get me oriental Robin and tan Owen painted. @JinCIncy : The whole style of your Angela is lovely. May I ask which eyes exactly are those eyes? I have difficulties to choose some eyes for my Rosa which fit. I got a lot of eyes to try on but none of them suits her. I do like the eyes of your Angela. Thank you.

 

Thank you @nufa, they are Safrin resin eyes in 10mm. Unfortunately, she no longer makes them. I have Rosa that wears 10/11mm Masterpiece and I like the fit for her.

@JinCIncy Your Robin, Rosa and Angela are lovely. I recently adopted a Rosa from the marketplace here. Once I have some new eyes and a wig for her, I will try and post some photos.

 

I look forward to seeing her. These little ones from Dollshe are a bit like potato chips for me. I have soon to be 3 Robin's in different colors, 2 Rosa's in different colors an Angela and an Owen. One of my Robin's and Owen still need face up's, but I really enjoy them.

 

They really are, I'm already considering another at some point. She poses so well and I am amazed at all of the detail in her little hands and feet.

I saw Dollshe was having a sale that I couldn't pass up! I bought a 39cm Robin in Pure Copper Oriental skin (basic package, no extra hands/feet/paddles). After reading all these post I feel like a long waiting period is expected.

I was inspired by Saraht and a Russian picture of a faceup off Google (sorry for not knowing whom to credit!) I saw Robin as a "dad bod" type! I've been hoping to find something, and this was it for me! His realistic face was absolutely perfect for a character I wanted! I want to have a mustache, beard, chest/arm/leg hair. Not sure if I'll use faux fur or paint/watercolor pencils or mix of both yet.

I mostly have a collection of Angel of Dream 1/4th sized 44/45cm bjd's. Robin will be shorter. I have a B&G and Dikadoll that are both 42cm. Atelier Cyna*mon Haselle bunny is 41cm. 5stardoll Jadite is 30cm (sorry! I'm very visual and trying to get an idea here) all of my MSD's are adults.

Seeing he's 39cm I noticed Minifee M-line's are 38cm... might have to get him a girlfriend. Any other (busty) adult mini suggestions? (Or any other suggestions/ideas?) Thank you

 

I’m not sure if that will work since Robin has a child’s body and face! Iplehouse Kids would be a better match I think, they’re 35cm. Perhaps still a bit slim next to Robin, but their body proportions will probably fit better.

That said, I get that you want to turn him into an adult. Maybe it would be better to wait until you have the doll in person, or ask if anyone can post a comparison between Robin and minifees! That way you’d get a better idea of how he will actually look next to another doll. At these smaller scales, the slightest thing can throw dolls off!

It shows "bad gateway 502" and I bought a Pure Copper Oriental 38cm Robin in full during the sale!

Now I'm worried.

 

It’s happened a few times now. I’m not worried as such just yet, but it isn’t super reassuring!

 

3/3/19 update: email recieved and website works! They apologize for the hiccup. I feel reassured.

 

Got Rosas head back from the faceup artist, yay! She has made a beautiful job. Faceup made by faceup_akord.
I am trying some wigs on her, let's see which one will be choosen. She will be definitely a brunette.

I adore both Angela and her older brother. I fell in love with them after they weren’t produced any longer. Dollshe has her available again but I’m unsure of the available colors — they don’t have all the previous color options. The lighter choice, I feel, is too light but the darker option may be too dark. Often times the dye lots of resin colors is somewhat different. I adore your pale tan resin but I’d prefer a little darker.

 

The wait is well worth it — especially from Dollshe!

 

Tan is a really pretty color, like rich dark chocolate. I have Owen in tan, but he is off getting a face up now, so not available to take a picture of. I really like the pale tan too. It is not super light.

Did you order an Angela? I placed an order on the reintroduction of Angela. . . I'm having difficulty finding clothing. Did you have any luck finding outfits, if you have Angela?

 

What type of clothing are you looking for @warmshadows ? I go for a historical look for my kids and I've found that a bit of MSD stuff works on them, the dresses are just longer on them of course. Some of my Tonner Matt clothing fits the boys well. The outfit my Rosa is wearing here was made for an MSD, It's from Dollmore, the sleeves are a tad long and the length is of course longer than it is on the MSD dolls, but it works for the look I was going for.
