Help needed please.
Has anyone got a comparison between Narsha and IpleHouse kid bodies or a link to them?

Aaaaand...
I have hybrid a Narsha head on Iplehouse KID body on last November !



To do this, I had to sand the head for the neck to be adjusted, because KID body has bigger neck than Narsha.
And find a key ring not too big or too little to attach the elastics. ^^

Thank you for the comparison images! Looks like most clothes could be shared, though pants may be a bit long and shirts a but short on Narshas.

@decenicero Sorry, it seems like most Narshas here are on custom faceups! I hope you find what you are looking for though.

Has anyone done anything to the Narsha head that allows you to use something other than a bar / found something else to use? :/ I have a spare s-hook but it isn't wide enough and I really want to replace the bar, mostly because I think I've finally lost it for good. OTL

 

My Narsha has an S-hook, and it's seemed to work well. I've never had a bar. The doll was bought second-hand and came with it

@auntbear I did indeed! All the pieces are very simple, but it was a lot of fun to make. I'm quite picky so a lot of the stuff my dolls have ends up being either made by me or edited, at least.

 

Hmm, my Narsha was secondhand too but he came with his bar. It's annoying to use, I had a ribbon attached to his elastic and use that every time I need to take his head off but it's so easy to lose ; A ;

 

Madeleine is just beautiful - which version of Narsha is she please?

 

i have a narsha friend shabee, not a narsha, which might make a difference , but i'm pretty sure she has an s-hook. maybe the original owner replaced yours with the bar?

Thanks, I wondered if she might be that one. Narsha's a doll that I've thought about getting for so many years now, but never quite managed it. Maybe one day!

Tried a Luts Kid Delf s-hook in him because they are pretty big s-hooks you can fit your finger through but that wasn't big enough either D:

 

I might be getting a Narsha soon... I've got everything crossed I can get her. I have a pretty big project planned for her if I manage to get her.

ETA: Can someone give me the measurement of the Narsha body from the top of the chest to the bottom of the pelvis? I've been searching for it but couldn't find it.

 

i can probably get you the measurement, but i'm not sure exactly what you are asking. by top of the chest do you mean from the shoulder ? or just above the nipple? and bottom of the pelvis do you mean the hip or the crotch? sorry to be obtuse, but i wanted to get the right measurement for you

 

Sorry! I should have been more specific. Above the nipple to the crotch. Trying to get a rough estimate of the inside of her actually... got some crazy plans in motion here haha

 

straight down the midline from the nipple to crotch is 10.2cm if you take the same measurement and curve around the body to the middle of the crotch it is 11.3cm. hope that helps and if you need anymore measurements let me know, i'll do my best

 

Update on the bar, I managed to find it a while ago, so he's had it put back in now. I was thinking perhaps using something like two part epoxy to mold the gap into a more normal one for bjds so I can have a functioning s-hook in there, but I think he might need subtractive modifying in his neck to get the motion back if I did *shrugs*

I'm glad you found the bar! He's a cute guy! But it looks like he put his shoes on the wrong feet.

 

Yes, I had already noticed xD but I like these photos a lot and I don't think it's terribly obvious personally? ignoring where the straps are > ~ <;;

 

It's OK! Kids will do these things!

So... bought this little girl on Ebay for $75! She's yellowed pretty bad but I think I can help her out. If anything, I have MAJOR plans for her.

I'm going to wipe her, clean her up, and mod her. Going to make a project journal, I'll update ya'll if you'd like to follow.

Those freckles c: Honestly if I didn't already have so many dolls planned with freckles (Including twin Zihu's) I would have given my Narsha freckles~

 

Hehe she is adorable. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the freckles though. She needs completely wiped and scrubbed and probably a whitening soak. Thus a new face up/blushing.

Zihu is so beautiful. I'd have got her for this project but I couldn't pass up this chance for the Narsha.

She needs a lot of work but I love her too much to mind. I can't wait to get started. Going to wipe her clean tomorrow and maybe start her soak. Too tired tonight though. Been up since 2am flying back home with my two young kids... that wasn't fun haha.

Me too, I am dying to do her face up now our weather is improving. She's arrived in Melbourne and is going through customs, so I probably won't get her until Monday now.

Update, she's through customs and is at the AP Facility on the other side of town. So near and yet so far!!

Yes, USPS delivers packages on Saturday. They used to deliver EMS on Sunday, but I don't think they do anymore.

 

Not in Australia. You can post stuff Saturday morning in most places, but there's no deliveries.

I didn't realise that Zihu came with a wig, eyes, bloomers and dress, so it was a lovely surprise (and with extra gifts too!). I can say one thing for Dollmore, their service is great and she was the most protected doll I have ever received.

 

Yay, I"m so glad you got her home! She's adorable. I can't wait to see what you do with her! And I can't agree more, Dollmore is amazing.


In other news... I decided on a theme/idea for my Narsha. Been looking for a wig for her and ordered some DIY eyes to make her some steam punk eyes. Probably going to do one steampunk and one "regular". Not sure what color though. Probably grey. She's going to be mostly done in black, white, and silver.
