I like steampunk themed dolls, so I shall be very interested in seeing your Narsha as you make progress. You will post pics, won't you? Does she have a name yet?

xanadu: I will totally post pictures! I have a project journal as well. Kinda waiting on supplies and free time right now. I work full time, go to school, have two kids, and crunch time for a local con so... yeah no free time haha. Hopefully I'll have time in about two weeks and by that time hopefully the eyes will come in.

I really like the features of these dolls and I am tempted to order one or two. How well do they pose? I have a collection of 14" Kish clothes and shoes so I should have something that fits them.

 

If I remember correctly, you have FL little fees? I can tell you the Narsha dolls pose no where near as well as FL dolls. They are single jointed and only have a belly joint. They are amazing posers but I think their sweet faces and bodies make up for what their posing lacks. That's just my opinion though.

 

Thank you - I am really tempted! I love their faces and esthetics.

 

When I got my first Narsha in 2005, she was my best posing doll! She may not have the range of poses of a Littlefee, but she is a very cooperative doll.

Thank you @auntbear I love her, but am so far behind on doing face ups, it's no longer funny. I hope you do get one, you won't be disappointed.

I'm also glad you have decided on one, mine poses great and I am really happy with her.

 

@Merlin's Mom You won't be disappointed with Narsha! I have a Zihu and love her. She has lovely features, and her hands are wonderful and allow many poses, like holding something and such. Dollmore resin is lovely, too!

Xanadu - Hi S almost forgot to acknowledge you sorry. I broke down and pre-ordered two Narsha and Zihu (I asked that Zihu have the boy face up on the girl body as I don't like the dark color in the corner of the mouth - DDE said they would request it but can't promise). Now the long wait!

 

@Merlin's Mom Awww, thank you for my Zihu! ^_^ ... and for her outfid, I've sewn it myself and crafted her headdress with x-mas decorations. ^_^

I am so very fond of her that I got a second one :p. This size is so perfect - but in fact I love *everything* about these dolls.

Thank you! It's a Leekeworld wig - from their 'LM' line. I adore those; but I just over went to check and saw that all models are marked as out of stock :/.

This is Clarissant's twin brother, Lovell:



His wig is another favourite of mine, an easy-to-handle Monique. (My other Moniques are lovely and soft but have a LOT of flyaways and are always getting into knots XD.)

 

There was an annoucement that the mohair wigs are being sold by HANNASU

hi everyone. i haven't been here in ages, but i finally got my zihu put on layaway over christmas, so she should be here by early spring. i'm so excited, she has been on my wishlist for a couple of years now!

 

Welcome back auntbear - I am also waiting for zihu and narsha that I am hoping will be here in March. I look forward to seeing how you style her.

isn't that the truth! almost all my dolls are girls, since i have a frustrated desire for cute girlie things, having had only boys in real life

My Narsha has now been with me more than 10 years and being French resin has yellowed considerably. I decided to give her a good clean up and add some extra blush to her gorgeous face up which was done by Ravendolls some years ago. I love this doll and I really don't care about the yellow now, as I think she is beautiful regardless. I thought I'd share a photo of her here just because!!

 

I agree with you Sharon, she has aged gracefully.

...I don't care about yellowing, a beautiful doll is a beautiful doll. I fell in love with a banana yellow Narae.

 

dambuster01 - your Narsha was one of the girls that made me decide I needed one . I think she is lovely and her color does not look unnatural.

 

She is lovely! Great faceup! I like to refer to it as mellowed rather than yellowed!

Thank you Sigune. Narsha is almost banana yellow too but cleaning her up helped quite a bit. I think the blushing that Dollmore put on her had got quite dirty from handling over the years!

Thank you Nancy, I really love her faceup so am glad I was able to 'bring her back to life' again with just a bit of extra blush.

Thank you auntbear. She actually does look like she has a nice olive skin tone in real life so I'm glad it comes across that way in the photos

 

My girls are here and I am thrilled. Narsha told me her name right away - Nicole (Nikki) and while I thought she would be girly she is definitely more casual. Zihu hasn't told me her name yet, but she is the girly one. Sorry for the photo quality, but all I have is my husband's cell phone. I like Nikki's wig, but may need to change Zihu's.

isn't it funny how dolls have their own opinions on what they will wear? i love the pink dress btw. can i ask where you got it?

 

Thank you auntbear, it still amazes me that each doll can have their own personality and can be quite "vocal" about it. The pink outfit is a long skirt and top and was for a very old version of Tonner's Cinderella. I think she was a basic. The skirt fits fine and the top fits but the bottom snap won't snap which you can't tell from the front

 

Merlin's Mom: Congrats! They are so gorgeous! I just love your Narsha's wig, it's adorable on her!

Merlin's Mom congratulations on the arrival of your two girls, they do look lovely. I know what you mean about our dolls telling us their personalities rather than what we think they're going to be like, it's weird, but it's so true!!!

my zihu will get paid off this month and then hopefully come soon. i can relate to slowing down. i've really cut back this last year. only a couple of dolls that have been on my wish list forever!

thanks. it may take a while after she comes before i can get her faceup done. but my husband insulated and heated our garage this year so that i can paint out there and it won't be so weather dependent . ( oops that sounds like he heated it just for me, but that was just a lucky side benefit!)

Congrats on your new arrivals @Merlin's Mom ! Are those the default clothes they came with?

Bumping the thread a little with my new zihu, Ayzere. The weather finally cleared enough to give her a faceup.

 

Ayzere is lovely. Narsha is in the default wig and outfit she came with. Zihu is wearing a Tonner outfit and a mohair wig I had on hand for now.

 

She's lovely, you did a great job of her face!
