anyone know when the site will reopen for orders?

 

I recieved my Eunsu!!! Yes she was supposed to be my Christmas present but I have zero self control and regret nothing . She's amazing, I need more dollits dolls!!



@jenniekay on instagram a few months ago they said they'd be taking orders for Eunsu on the new body from October to November.

Sorry to double post, but I wanted to share my story of how I received my Dollits box today lol.

I got a text from USPS saying my package was not delivered because no one was home to sign (I was at work) so I figured I could run to the post office with the slip to pick it up. So I do that. Run home, grab the slip from the front door, and head to my local post office. Well, the gentleman there says my package is still out with my mail man so I'll have to come back tomorrow. Huge bummer!! So I start heading back home, driving through my neighborhood hoping to catch my mail guy. I caught *A* mail guy, but not *MY* mail guy. This random mail guy said MY mail guy is most likely a quarter mile away on x street and x street. Well my lunch break is almost over so I decide to just head home rather than hunt him down, and I needed to feed my dogs lunch and go back to work. So I do that.

Well, on my way out of my neighborhood going back to work, guess who I see?

My mail man.

Guess who doesn't have to wait till tomorrow to see her gorgeous girls?

@maddison3m thank you so much I'm so so happy with her. I like her way more than I thought I would. She's actually pushed out my last remaining minifee (for some reason when I get a new doll that I like loads it always pushes out the weakest link.)

Yay what a great story! Are you pleased with her? Do you know what your plans are for her? I can't believe how quickly both our dolls got delivered from being dispatched!!

 

@Loganberry that makes sense! getting a new doll you love is kind of a push for you to rehome a doll that hasn't been getting much love.

I am so so excited to have her! She (and my Somi head) are just gorgeous. I didn't get one of the faceups from Dollits so next on my to-do list is getting them both faceups. I know my Somi head will be getting her body next year, hopefully spring! She's supposed to be my little witchy girl! And Eunsu I have no idea! I need to put together an inspo board so I can think of a faceup! Right now I'm leaning towards a freckle-y, natural kind of look for her. Idk I guess as time goes on maybe she'll "speak" to me

Will you be getting the new dollits body for Somi? I really like the natural freckle kind of look. Do you do your own face ups?

I actually will be hybrid-ing her with a Summerbird Viola body!!! She's gonna be a cute chubby lil witch girl And no I wish I had the talent lol! I tried a few months ago on my DoD Appi Khol doll and it just.... was not fun so I'll be sending Eunsu to the same artist that did my other doll's face up most likely!

 

Yay!!! Thanks so much for the heads up! I am going to try and convince my hubs he can order for Christmas for me there even though I would receive them later (crossing fingers)......does anyone know how the match is between the Dollits resin and what was the original DIM normal resin?

 

@maddison3m I really love the viola body, I bet that will make a great hybrid, looking forward to seeing pics of it .
Haha I've never tried a face up but I'm certain the outcome would be the same!

@Loganberry Someone has done a hybrid with the Viola body and a dollits Miso head, and the doll looked great I just didn't get a good idea of resin match which I am worried about but either way, i am so excited and i'm sure she'll look so good!!

 

@maddison3m oh I've not seen that is it on instagram? I've seen a viola hybrid with a minifee chloe head and that looked good (the resin match was good with minifee and minifee and dollits is pretty close if that helps )

There is not really a resin match between Dollits NS and the Summerbird NS but my girl is also very heavily painted which intensifies that.
Pretty sure if you get the face up done after you get the body, it can be blushed to match!

Anyone know why the D.K.D A girl body is only being sold in old normal resin? I wanted to get a Eunsu on the old body, but it seems the only option is the B body right now? It's nice looking, but I feel like the knees look like they're a bit of a downgrade in functionality... I don't like having to pull the knees out of a doll and from my understanding, the old body's legs glided naturally. I think he was planning on selling both bodies, so I don't know why we can't just choose which one on the order page right now.

 

On a post on instagram (or it may have been in the comments of a post) he said that body A was going to be on sale as a special option at some point in 2019 but it won't be available all the time.

 

I really hope he doesn't retire it

I asked Dollits about A body type, and He said It wouldnt be remove from his shop, but it couldnt be availible in new normal skintone(((
I dont like yellowing, I like mostly pink, but now we can buy only type B in this new beautiful pink skintone

Honestly I don't understand why that's the case, since before the B body came out I think people got the dolls in the new skintone with Eunsu?

It must be old stock.

It's too bad since I would have bought one of his dolls if I could get the A body but I haven't seen anything about the B body yet, so I am not really confident in it since it looks like you have to pull out the knee peanut That's a feature in bjds that I really dislike, I like when it smoothly comes out like in Doll Leaves and Doll Zone bodies.

Hello again! Any owner pics of Somi with the new company faceup? I'm not too fond of it to be honest , but I haven't seen it with a wig!

 

My Jini just shipped today! Didn't expect her to be shipped after less than a Month but I am so excited First new doll in two years. I am considering getting a Somi as well after the A body gets re-released, and just swap the bodies since I feel that would fit better.

 

That is just a darling face-up and I also love her outfit! Adorable all around!

So hopefully this thread is still active. I'm SUPER new to the whole bjd world. I use dolls for figure drawing, and currently own a Phicen because I like the realism. I just got into bjds for a more stylized look to my figures and totally fell in love with Eunsu! I ordered her 2 nights ago and can't wait! I got her with the B body, but I'm reading that many of you like the A body more...and I'm wondering if I should email him and ask if my body can be switched? Is there a huge difference in terms of look or sizing for things like clothing on the two types?

 

I decided to get some jointed hands for my first doll, to have ready when she arrives, and had to go with another doll maker who does jointed hands, since Dollits doesn't make them. They're being awfully nice and asking what size the hands are on my doll body, to ensure it's the right fit, but I'm not sure about this information. I know the body is the DKDg B Body, and 1/4 scale, but I can't find on the Dollits site anything about the size of the hands.

Could someone who maybe has one of their dolls help?

I got Eunsu! I'm really beside myself. I've already been collecting a few things here and there for her, and have plans to build a house for her for all my backdrops. I ordered her on Jan 1, so I'm really surprised to see such a fast turnaround time.

So I ordered my first girls from Dollits a few weeks ago, and they’re already currently marked as “queued for shipment.” Does this mean they’ll be shipped soon? Is their turnaround time really that fast? Or do they leave orders in this status for a long time? Idk, I’m just kind of in shock, because it hasn’t even been two full weeks. lol

 

I ordered my Miso a long time ago, but the shipping was good. I would guess that queued for shipment means it has been sent from Dollits, but now its in the hands of the shipping/postal system so who knows? That's just my guess.

 

there is no need to cosplay dollzone waiting times to complete doll order ^^. it can be finished in 1-2 days, if there is no queue.

 

That’s true! I guess I just mean I am used to waiting much longer from the other companies I’ve purchased from before, so this surprised me. Definitely not complaining hehe

 

My girls shipped yesterday! Just a little over a month after I ordered. I wish every company had this quick of turnaround times.

Hello Zohra! Belated congrats on getting Asagi, she's very sweet Any update on the quest for jointed hands to fit her? I think it's a great idea.

 

Hi. Since my Miso has different sets of hands and the fingers are in different positions, I measured the palm of her hand from the base of the fingers to the heel of the hand and that is 2cm. Hope that will help you.

 

Yeah I ordered some but they are still in processing. So when they arrive I can verify if they worked or not. The hope is that at worst case I just have to sand down the wrist portion to fit. *fingers crossed*
I ended up emailing the DOLLITS creator. He was super awesome and send me the hand measurements. I also managed to reach out to a few DOLLITS owners and get them to let me know too.

I will DEFINITELY post when they fiiiiiinally arrive. They're taking about as long as a whole doll. But it will be good to show if they work well or not with the DOLLITS body type.

 

Hi there! I am still catching up on the thread but I recently purchased a Dollits DKD body second hand! I have my Doll Leaves girl body as comparison, but I am finding that the clothes I have for my slim Doll Leaves kid aren’t large enough to fit my Dollits body. Do any of you have any favorite Etsy stores/places to shop online for clothes that can fit this body? Any help would be appreciated! I wanna get this cutie outfitted!
