Also random question but does anyone know if doll family-H has a resin colour that matches Mia pink?
I know someone mentioned that they do offer resin matching services if they don’t have a standard one that does. I bought a qianqiandoll ling lan head recently and was hoping to use a DFH body

 

I just received my order today, so I plopped my Souldoll Betty head on the DF-H Slim body for you The neckhole is on the bigger side, but still close enough to have some tilting action, and the resin does not match (NS head and NSP body, the body is brand new and the head is from 2018) but blushing to match should be well possible and my Betty has probably mellowed a bit by now.

If you need any specific pics feel free to ask I'll do my best. If you need better resin comparison pics it's probably best for me to do in the morning since sunlight is starting to become scarce in my corner of the globe.

Oooh thankyou! Overall, the proportions look pretty good! Could you get a side profile view of her on the body, as well? I was planning on getting my Aehael head resin matched (...somehow when she mellowed, she got... lighter and... paler?) anyways, so I am not too worried about color matches

 

Sorry about the late reply! Here's the side profile view You can sort of see how the neckhole is slightly big, but the head does tilt moderately still, and could probably be improved with a silicone kip.

I had to go on a trip shortly after taking the photo which is why I'm late to post it, so I won't be able to take any other hybriding photos until next week. If you have any other requests feel free to dm me or something I'll get to it when I can.

Hi! If the question is still actual... I have a 1/4 slim boy body and waiting for a head for it from Chinese artist in Mia pink. It should be here already, but there's delays, so the head must be ready somewhere in December. So I could share the result after I get the head.

Hi, I'm passing on a warning concerning Doll family H orders

It appears DF-H has discontinued some dolls and bodies without really warning anyone. Included in that are regular 1/4 bodies (as opposed to slim 1/4) and all their option parts.
If you have an order with those items through an intermediary, I'd advise you to check with them.
I personally found out this week because Alice Collection got in touch with DF-H about an order for hands made in july, and they were suddenly told the order was cancelled because they've stopped making those and all non-slim 1/4 items
I think someone posted more information on the df-h waiting room, but I figured a warning here too could be useful

 

There's are new DF-H bodies, they seem like an update to the discontinued strong body but here are both male and female options this time. On acbjd there's no new doll though, did they only release the bodies?

I was about to order the new Huajing doll but now I'm thinking about this. I like the Chiyu head quite a bit so maybe I'll get him with the new body instead. I like how Chiyu looks so versatile.

There's also a gift hand and feet with the body if you place an order now, which makes it extra tempting.

 

The new bodies look good! I'm happy that there's a new taller girl body, there are not so many options of ~45cm mature female minis unfortunately.
It looks like something I might want to swap an older body with in the long run. I wonder if anyone has anything in their normal yellow resin? I wonder how well it would go with old and yellowed skintones?

 

I got the head. Mia pink matches perfectly to DFH normal pink. The body is 6 m.o., arrived in May. It's Slim boy body Ver.4

Joining the thread, I put the new 1/4 girl body on layaway There’s currently a discount and u get free hands and heel feet. I wanted to get the slim 1/4 body with the large bust, but discount and free stuff was singing to me. Plus the head I plan for this body is a bit big, the neck measurement is very close to what is needed.

 

Does anyone know if the new shao xia /Yao tiao bodys hands would work on their other slim 1/4 bodies?
I really like how they are bigger than the ones the 1/4 bodies come with.

Also are there already owner pictures of those new bodies? Seems they are bigger than the other ones.

Earlier on this thread I mentioned that I was considering this new boy body but ultimately decided to get something else... But now I wish I've seen these photos first lol. Such gorgeous bodies, both the girl and the boy.

 

My new mature boy body arrived already! Now to find him head!

 

I thought I'd cross-post some of the info I just posted in the DF-H waiting room thread and review the body a bit.

Last year I ordered a DF-H slim 1/4 boy body and jointed hands, in the Mia white resin colour (to go with the joydoll Jakki heads I also ordered at the same time - DF-H was one of the bodies joydoll recommended) through Christina at New Clover Singing, and the body and hands just arrived today.

The colour match is perfect and the body and hands are beautifully finished - no seam lines, perfectly smooth. The body also arrived wired (at least the legs; didn't check the arms), with silicone rings in many joints. It hold poses really well. I'm very impressed with the engineering of the body which is really modern in all its jointing.

I ordered the jointed hands, despite knowing that jointed hands are fiddly to pose, because I thought that the hands the body comes with looked too small in scale for my preferences. I'm so glad I did this! The jointed hands look great, are a better scale, and are slightly fiddly but not too hard to pose. (Changing hands is a breeze because there's a notch in the wrist to hold the S-hook in place while you swap hands.)

It came in a doll carrier with some sturdy plastic padding (no fabric cushions). I didn't know it would come packaged this way but this is great, because I have too many doll boxes and no carriers!

I'm super impressed with this body for the price and can't wait to play with it some more!

Does anyone know if the newer 1/4th version of Qing Lang has the different mouth pieces? I believe the 1/3rd version did, right?

 

I have a lot of parts in normal pink for slim body, but never got around to get the actual girl slim body itself xD

And now I wonder if hands or feet from slim line would fit yao tiao version?

I kinda want to make a hybrid for minifee, and get a color match, but I don't know if slim body or yao tiao will look better... also I saw information on weibo about some new 1/4 body being released with Shampoo head? Is it like a 3rd version of their 1/4 girl body?

 

@forged_in_mess - I was just looking at photos of both of the bodies today, thinking if parts would be compatible as well - I think the hands of the slim body are a lot smaller and would look proportionally too small/odd on the yao tiao body (tbh I think the slim body's hands are already a little bit too small for the body they belong to). The yao tiao body also seems to require a bigger wrist ball so the slim body hands might get lost in the socket, too. But that's all just from looking at pictures, I don't have the bodies and parts to compare in real life.

I wish the yao tiao hands would work with the slim 1/4 body. I think the original hands are a bit too small.

 

Got my shipping notification last night for my body

 

It might be too early still but wondering if anyone has received their Yao Tiao body yet and can share some pics/say a few words about the poseability? I'm really unsure from the company pics but I like the aesthetic of it.

I got my body in, I forgot to share it on DoA but here were my notes:
I was surprised to find the body actually came wired, so she holds poses and transitional poses very solidly (especially in the elbows). Her thigh mobility joint has divets going all around it on the inside, so it can be rotated in the socket too. Thee hand parts are a bit hard to change because the wire makes it difficult to pull the hooks out and push them back in, but I am really liking the body overall.

@cobaltconduct I wasnt sure what poses to do, but in any case I had to stop at a certain point. Here are some pictures:



This first one is taken from my phone. The head is a Muhan's doll Yuna (both resins are in 'soom tawny' and a pretty close match). I ended up with two heel feet pairs but these are the extra parts I got. By the way, she came with a large S hook head/part puller, spare kips and spare hooks.

I only changed one of her hands out, because the other one the wire is so in the way that I can't twist the hook and get it out in order to change her hands. Something I might have to fiddle with, but I really don't want to...



Here she is next to my Narae bodies. The Narae bodies have silicone kips in the joints, especially thick custom silicone pads in the hip joints.



I wanted to show off how well she can hold her arms and rotate her elbows side to side at just about any angle. She is balancing carefully with her legs together in that pose.



Narae is doing the same pose next to her, but her arms are a bit loose and can't as solidly hold every position. Narae Fusion can do the same poses with her arms well enough, but her legs and ankles just don't want to move that way at all. Her ankles dont bend forward far enough, and in my opinion neither do her knees allow her calves go forward far enough. her legs seem like they can't bear the weight of her torso as well.



This is as far forward as she can bend. She can hardly bend backwards at all. This is pretty par for the course for a body that doesn't have the torso joint cut at the middle of the body under the rib cage, it's actually pretty good in my opinion for just a bust joint in terms of bending forward. She can bend in increments thanks to multiple ridges in her back. Her leg does not go up as high as the others, but it is good especially with her forward mobility for making a more natural reclining position.



Here she is bent a little less forward.



Here is another pose to showcase the stability of her arms and legs. Because of the wiring, she can stand with her back leg bent at the knee and still stand up. I tried to recreate the pose with my Narae, but unortunately her ankles were not meant to bend quite so side to side (but she could do it by rotating just from the thigh joint instead) and I gave her ankle a crack. I figured I might as well stop there and fix her up before I do anymore comparisons.

 

Thank you so much @aestellica ! This is a very useful comparison Also shows how wrong I got the scale in my head because I somehow assumed bimong bodies would look much much smaller/petite next to it... But it seems like the yao tiao is very slender after all!

 

@cobaltconduct Yes, the only body/doll I have that's pretty out of scale with these is my Myoudoll, she's noticeably bogger/thicker which was also why I didn't put here together in the lineup. Glad it helps! Feel free to request more pictures.

 

I got my body today I’m very happy with it- very close match to an older DIM head I bought it for will post pictures later and compare it to similar resins :3

 

If you have a chance, would you be able to take a photo of the body with a souldoll girl head? I saw you had a Kuu so I figured I'd ask! I've been thinking of getting this body for Aehael since it first released, but I know sometimes souldoll heads fit... oddly on other company bodies, so I've been putting it off since I've been a bit nervous :'D Originally I was going to get the slim girl body for Aehael, but this one looks gorgeous so I've been considering switching it over.

 

@Epona These are just quick snaps from my phone but here you go!

I think the Aehel head and Kuu head are similar in size based on photos of the heads on the Souldoll body. I think the Kuu head actually looks good, and it works especially well because the Yao Tiao hands are maturely and finely sculpted, so it helps the head to look in scale with the body.

The head movement range is also really good because of the silicone kip at the neck. I'm pretty sure the body came with it and I didn't use one of my own kips, if I remember right.

For reference and searchability, this is the Souldoll Kuu V. head from 2017 in sandy brown on the new DF-H yao tiao body in Soom tawny / Soom light tan.





I rotated her legs inward here at the thigh joints just to show it could do that, but I had to face the feet outward to have her stand since I don't have any doll stands.

I got my Kuu head for a boy character so many years ago, but I'm not going to lie, this is really tempting me to use this body, haha!

 

Ooohh! This is a lovely combination! Thankyou so much! I've been really waiting on ordering this body since I was worried if Aehael was a wash, I wouldn't have a backup plan anytime soon. I have a vamp Kuu too and I can confirm Kuu and Aehael are very similar in size, thankyou! I was planning on ordering it in Switch milktea and getting Aehael color matched but I won't lie, this soom tawny match is REALLY pretty too, so I will have some things to mull over in the meantime.

 

does anyone own a hybrid of dollzone and doll family h or a? i was thinking of possible hybrid options for a dollzone head in white since I don't really love dollzone's bodies

 

@sinervium Doll Family H & A whites are pink toned whites (though not the same) and Dollzone's white is yellow toned. You may want to look at Dollzone's peach to be a better combo. Out of the Doll family whites, Doll Family A has slightly darker pinker tone but I don't know out of the two companies which is closest to DZ peach. There examples of Doll Family whites in this thread here

Is this color matching still true? I’ve been glancing at hybrid options, possibly for something in the future, and I really like what I’ve seen for the Doll Family H bodies.

I find myself leaning toward getting a Minifee. I like a lot of the heads but not finding myself liking the bodies as much. And I’m getting really drawn into the way the Doll Family H bodies look.

 

As of around 2022, it was still good, that's the last time I did a hybrid from the two companies. I also love Minifee heads, but am not a huge fan of how their bodies pose, which is why I did hybrids for several of my boys.

 

I've recently messaged Alice's Collections regarding resin matching for DF-H since I'm also interested in putting my Minifee head onto a DF-H body and this is what they replied :

''They have normal and white skin colors from luts, soom, switch, volks, and Mia pink, Mia white, soom light tan, switch milktea ''

Now I gotta figure out which one is the closest to Fairyland's NS :')

 

I did not consider asking a vendor, good thinking. Hybridization is a future option for me but if you learn of a match I hope you share your findings.

 

Looks like DF-H is discontinuing their slim bodies. Such a shame they're going so soon!

Hello. I have a DF Wind, I've had him for many years now, he's their normal yellow, he's currently awaiting his turn with the plastic wrap and masking tape to make him some clothing patterns. I lost all my doll clothes and such in a fire in 2012 and the boys have been tucked away in a closet since then. I've been getting them back out recently, giving them a wash, and figuring out what I want to do now. They have their hair and eyes but nothing else lol

Does anyone have a picture of DF-H's boy body with a head of around 16,5-17cm circumference? I'm thinking of hybriding it with the new Iris head from coral reef, but it's smaller than the DF-H heads (16,6cm vs 18cm) and I'm worried it wouldn't look right>_<
