@Sonik thank you so much for these, that’s exactly what I was looking for! If you don’t mind me asking, what made you want to sell him? I’m just wondering if there were posing issues or something more general like that.

The body poses really nice actually! I can post some posing pictures if you want. I just like the new muscular body more so I ended up selling him and will get Yue Jian instead. Also I felt like he looked a lot different than the company pictures and I couldn't get over it.

 

Thank you, that's really helpful! The blank face photos were exactly what I was looking for! It's hard to tell what his sculpt really looks like because his faceup is very involved and I couldn't find any blank photos so this is perfect

Hello everyone. May I ask if anyone happen to have a review of the 46cm boy body ver.3?

I've searched a lot but havn't seen any of the review. I am considering getting a boy from DF-H and from the look of the company photos this body is quite perfect for what I have in mind but I'd really love to see costomers pics.

Hey, folks! Figured his was the best place to drop in— I’ve seen 14-16mm eyes recommended for most 1/4 DFH heads, and I’ve just changed plans for a couple of future dolls— are the 16mm too big for ShanNai and Chiyu? I changed my plans *right* after I ordered some 16mm eyes! I’ve heard some of their heads have deeper eye wells and I’d hate to get my 16mm eyes just to find out they don’t fit right.

 

I have a wen xin and her eyewells are very deep. I use 14mm eyes but 16mm would probably fit as well as long as they're high dome eyes. Not sure if the other heads are the same though.

 

I did. but still haven't found any picture of a good look at the body. Guess I'll have to see it myself once I saved up enough to get them.

 

I can let you know when I get my boy in and I can do a body review for him. The only issue is I’m not sure when he should be in. I’m hoping maybe by October??

Does anyone know if they changed the s hook size in the wrist joints on the new body? I ordered new hands for my wen xin I bought early this year on the old body and they came in today - they don't fit at all. The old hands had a loop in the wrist for the s hook to hook into and these new hands just have a channel there that's way too small for my doll's s hook. The color is different too which I'm not super upset about since resin color can change with different batches but now I have spare hands I can't use. Buyer beware for people looking to buy new hands for the ver 1 body I guess?

 

Hi there, does anyone have a Dollzone head so I may see what it looks like on the Doll Family H type three body. I want to do a hybrid with this combination.

 

Could anyone tell me the head circumference/height/width of the DFH Yue Jian/Nan Xing sculpt?

 

I have a Nan Xing head, The head circumference (for wig fitting) is 18cm so will take 7-8" wigs, the head is a little on the small side so you would most likely want to use a silicone wig cap for better fitting. The eye openings are also quite small, you would be looking at 10mm-12mm eyes, anything above 12mm is too big.

 

Hi just finding this thread after getting my boy all geared up. His eyes came in this morning. His wig and clothing are done too, so he is complete and ready for his adventure.

I’ll be taking pictures of my doll family A version 2 girl body that arrived this week and hopefully have them uploaded this weekend. Overall I really like the body.

Unfortunately because I hybridized this body with a small head instead of a standard MSD head, the hands look out of portion. I tried a few hands I have spare but the wrist socket is so big that it doesn’t look good either. BUT! I found someone on the marketplace selling hands that I have high hopes for! They’ll either be equally big or just right....fingers crossed for just right!

 

Hey, this might be a stupid question but I'm considering buying a DF-H boy soon (for Jeeryama's sale) and this has just been bugging me enough to keep me from placing my order-

Nan Xing and Yue Jian are the same face sculpt, right? They look so similar that they must be, but the faceups in the company photos throw me off just a tad.

 

They could be. I just got my tan Nan Xing and he is beautiful. I want to say that he has fuller lips but it might be the faceup. So I agree it might just be the fullset that is different so they used different resin colors to differentiated between the two but both are available in the same resin colors.

 

@0bsequi0us - Alice Collections has photos of the blank heads. They look exactly the same, I think SteamWitch is correct.

Hi has anyone tired hybriding a doll family- H msd girl body with a Unoa or fairyland head? if so does it fit and look proportional?

 

I'd also be curious to know if anyone's hybrided a Fairyland head with a boy body (particularly the muscular one)!

 

This is the D-F H 41cm V2 girl body with a Fairyland head (lying down and standing). I used the fairyland neck connector and the fit and movement is fine. It didn't work with a 'C" shape neck piece.

Hi everyone! I just wanna ask if any of you have dfa mamo in nude or in other face up? She caught my attention. She’s so cute.

 

I bought a pre-owned August today, he's going to be my first doll and I'm very excited for when he gets here! I may have gotten a little too excited actually, I bought a few extra things for him almost immediately after payment went through.

 

@ghiacciolite Not unusual after purchasing your first doll. Congratulations!

 

Sadly won't be getting the second-hand August, the seller never accepted the payment or responded, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for a Doll Family doll in the future for a second or third doll, I love their faceups and sculpts.

No pictures yet but FYI I filled in part of the lower wrist socket of my df-a gal and sanded her exterior wrists and then successfully attached jointed doll chateau hands ! I had previously blushed the hands which is kind of a bummer because the resin colors nearly matched without the blushing! Sooo it doesn't match now but maybe i should just blush her whole body

 

@skyealloway oohh I can't wait to see pics! I've been wanting jointed hands for my girl since the version 1 body comes with hands that aren't mature enough for her character. Honestly I'd also love to replace the feet with a pair that are smaller, is it just me?

 

Cool I will definitely take pictures soon! I'm happy with her feet, they fit a lot of shoes that I already have. I have a racoondoll girl and her teenie tiny feet don't fit anything ugh.

He's great! Is that the full set? The resin is a lovely tan.

 

Yup, fullset. I really liked how he looked in it. I may have to get the faceup redone though, it's fogging up a bit on his left side.

I may order a set of hands for my tan boy, the ones he has are really awkward for some photos I want to take. I hope they match his year old tan well enough.

 

Yeah, these guys have some really weird hands. Even the "normal" pair, I think that's the flat right hand here, are just...awkward. You're right.

 

I will probably resort to boiling heating and moving fingers at some point.

His body is great, and he is very stable for posing. I haven't done any blushing yet, or added the light facial hair I wanted. I'd like to open his eyes a little, but I don't even know where to start! Do you think adding eyes that had a smaller iris would look better without resorting to sanding? Here is a closeup of his face, his eyes are a light color but don't show:

@whisperwolf You can switch to smaller irises, but it might look off because switching to smaller irises could make the smile look less...smiley? and relaxed, but if you position the eyes right it might be fine. Couldn't hurt to try! Opening his eye shape to be less squinty will definitely lessen the smile though if that's important to you

 

@whisperwolf Here is my boy with small iris eyes so you can see. I have some larger iris eyes in him permanently but that is because of his character.

Technically you can only see one, so here's another pic with his other hairdo for better reference.

Apparently no one posts much here? Well that makes me sad. Finally got my girl, Kandy's, head in a year after I ordered it. Finished the faceup and just wanted to share her and say hi.

 

@Peneyofdeath - Was your head from DFH or DFA? I recently ordered a body from DFH, I really hope I don't have a year wait time, the dealer told me 5-6 months.

 

@xyuemoto she's entirely from DFH. Her CoA says she was completed Jan. 11th, but I didn't get her in my hands until maybe two weeks ago.

 

@Peneyofdeath - Oh wow, I really hope my body doesn't take that long. It's going to be a hybrid. I am getting the body first and the head after I receive the body so I can hopefully get the head colour matched to the body.

 

@xyuemoto The times might be longer now, but I ordered a body through Alice's Collections on Oct 21st last year and it arrived on the 31st of January this year, so hopefully it's not a full year for you!

@Statuess - I ordered from Alice Collections too. You have me hopeful I could have a short wait. That would be amazing if so. It's just a body I ordered so no faceup wait time.

 

@Statuess You have me hopeful now too! I ran an experiment to see if I'd keep ordering DF dolls from Divas. Went and ordered a 1/4 and a 1/3 dolls from Alice's Collection in about end of Feb. I'd love if they came in soon. I miss my giant god of death....
