Doll Leaves Waiting Room v3

Wow T__T when I bought my first doll I think I waited for maybe 4 months, I don't remember.. But I've certainly forgotten how irritating doll-waiting is!!! >_< I need to remember how to pass the time now "^_^


@MonochromeNocturne , I've noticed Louis is a little popular I think his pout is his best feature, plus he has elfie ears, so cute! He reminds me a bit of DZ Carter.. But his mouth is a bit less intense :b

 

@Xxyaeba_444 And his eyes always look so sweet, to me! And funny you mention DZ, my Louis is gonna be the companion to my grumpy, elf-eared DZ Benjamin (who still needs his MYOU body, I just hadn't bought a full doll in so long and needed the pick-me-up, 2022 was horrendous). I do see some similarities with Carter, now that you mention it, but like you I like Louis more.

 

Sorry for the double post, but:

I'm officially two months into my wait! So, I emailed AC just to see if there's any updates or a timeframe of when I could expect my Louis. I'm sure I've got at least another month left, maybe longer.

 

Update on my Lan head - I finally received shipment notice from AC - ordered 5th of October, sent 2nd of March so around 5 months of wait. I was extremely anxious seeing new Doll Leaves in-stock delievery to DDE and not having any info from AC for months! [Almost tempted to buy Lan from DDE...but shipping costs to Europe are crazy high].

Thankfully AC contacted me that my order is ready - l suspect Chinese New Year has delayed some orders processing from Chinese dealers?

 

Just placed an order from DDE for 2 MSD bodies. They are for my DIM girls, let the wait begin.

 

My Louis order officially shipped today! I wasn't expecting an update for another month, but it looks like he'll arrive just after the MYOU body I ordered for my DZ Benjamin head. Hopefully others get their shipping updates soon, too!

I ordered back on December 26th, so two months and 18 days, that's really not bad at all.

 

@silmaryel and @Xxyaeba_444 - Lan with a DC body - that sounds really awesome! I hope they work well together, and I'd love to see photos! ^_^

I adore DL sculpts and company faceups, and Lan is exquisite! DC bodies are amazing as well. I have Lan on the DL version 2 body, and I've been considering looking into a hybrid of some kind too at some point.

 

I've been looking for owner photos for DL Teresa, with the company faceup in both the grey skin and the normal, but I haven't found any - I'm curious if someone could point me in the right direction, or post their Teresa photos?

Also, what kind of undertone does DL grey have? Is it more cool/blue, or maybe more warm/pinkish, or something else? The grey skin with the lavender faceup is really pretty in the company photos! But, I could purchase Teresa in normal skin in-stock, with only a few days' wait for the shipping. ^_^ So tempting!

 

My Louis arrived! He's so cute in person, I couldn't tell from pictures but he has little sculpted teeth in his mouth! I was under the impression they were just painted and it was simply smooth inside. My only complaint is that his main body string is super tight. His arms pose very well, but it's hard to use his chest joint or move his head because of how tight he is. Thankfully, he should loosen up with time and that'll solve that.

 

Man, it's been a while since I've ordered a doll leaves doll. But I'm finally back. : D I ordered a Gabriel in ns on the old body with faceup through DDE. I've always loved her and her faceup, so now I'll get to have her. xD I just hope the wait times aren't too bad. ^^

I ordered a blank Pearl through DDE back in January, and I still haven’t got her yet…I don’t know if this is because I chose DDE as the middleman, or Doll Leaves is being slow. They did accidentally send me someone else’s order a few days after I preordered her, though, so this makes me think they may be confused :/

Should I contact them, or should I keep waiting? I’ve seen where 9 months is occasionally the wait time, but I’m a little concerned since they messed up the order earlier.

 

I've done it! I've officially ordered my Teenage Dream Lailia! Now to come up with clothes designs and start planning her faceup...

 

Pearl just shipped! I should have trusted DDE more. She’s one of my first BJDs, so I was just too jittery.

 

I gave in to my impulse and ordered in-stock Betty from DDE! I love pointy chins. My poor Lan is sitting around blank so I'm really happy to snatch Betty with a face-up. The only downside of ordering in-stock doll is that you are constantly checking tracking sites

I've tried to have at least a vague theme idea for each of my dolls, but Betty...Betty is a real mystery to me, no idea who she'll be once she comes home. That pointy chin makes her slightly similar to my all-time fave SD girl, maybe it's time to get her a tiny counterpart

 

Just got a shipping notice for my msd body ordered through AC, which feels insanely fast, but I'm not gonna complain

 

My body has arrived already (and apparently didn't get any import taxes, yay!)

That's two months from order through AC to shipping, and then just one week to arrive home, making it one of my fastest dolls to arrive

 

Good news! My Louis head arrived in August. I ordered it in January, so it took a while...
...Unfortunately, I've been away at University and can't go back until next month. ;-;
I'm excited for then! I've really missed my dollies.

 

I'm a little over 3 months into my wait. Hopefully my girl arrives soon!

 

Update: still waiting for my Gabriel. Since then I got an instock boy from DDE that ended up getting his hand broken by one of my cats, so I ordered replacements. DDE told me at the time that Doll Leaves takes about 9 months to ship. If that holds true I should see my Gabriel around January or so. huzzah!

Also, I just started a layaway for a ws Laura w/ faceup. I wanted her at her first release and I'm happy to finally be able to have her come home. She'll be right at home with my other two mature tinies (maskcat feline and little monica eric). ^^ I hope I'll like the brown eyes and turquoise wig I ordered with her~

 

I ordered in August, got an order confirmation from Alice's Collections, and still no other word. Is this typical?

 

She's here! I hadn't realized how big the hips are on Teenage Dream until she arrived--guess I'll have to make her some new clothes. The ones I made won't fit right.

 

Here I am, wanting to update the thread to say my girl has shipped, only to find that I never added myself to the wait list
I have added myself retroactively now, even though my wait is almost over.
It's Leilia in normal skin, blank but with her wig. I got her an outfit in the same order, hopefully that'll fit. It's been a while since I last painted a faceup, I hope I'll find my groove quickly, it's so difficult to practise in winter.

 

I ordered a Doll Leaves 43cm girl body ver. II from Alice's Collection's early January for my DIM Human Flowne head! I'm very excited for her to finally have a body!

Just put a Teresa on layaway yesterday... I'm so excited. Now to figure out what to do while I wait...

 

I bought an Augus from Alice's Collections in September. The sculpt has round eyes without having a total baby face so it should work for the character. Safe shipping for everyone waiting!

 

I (some what impulsively) put my first two bjds on layaway with Alices Collections yesterday: Doll Leaves Angelo & Rabbit. Couldn't resist those expressive faces! I haven't been able to find any owner photos of Rabbit, though.

 

I ordered a 1/4 size boy body (second version) and a Yoko head through Alice's Collections. I'm sad for all the sculpts that are closing even with being interested in what they might release in the future. I might make another order closer to the 30th to grab a couple more 1/4 size heads if things work out.

Addition on 3/30: The wish sculpt with it's elf-ears was too cute to pass up. I added one onto an AC order for another doll body- the idea for a display for floating heads might get moved up the crafting priority list.

 

Just put in an order for four dolls through DDE. I got in stock Teresa ws w/ faceup, then preorder Angelo (ws, new body), Fei (ns, old body), and Lan (ws, old body). ((I do also have an off topic for this thread DZ Little Snow FS in there, so my wait is depending on two different companies. xD;; ))

I plan to swap Lan and Teresa's bodies when they get here. Lan is an old planned character of mine (Naonna) that I just never got to ordering. The others might be a bit of an impulse. xD But I really do like their sculpts and have ideas already brewing for them. So all's good. ^^

 

Hi all! I had eyed DL Camilla last year, thinking, "I quite like her, maybe in the future..." but I never got her because it was too much for my budget with a face. When I saw her getting discontinued and on sale, I changed my mind, so I preordered her yesterday! Shame I will get her blank, but this means I will be able to get her to a face artist once I set the money aside XD. I'm afraid I will get Leila, too, because I like them both a lot! Does anybody know how long the wait is, considering the event?

 

I ordered a Jeremy with the v.II body last month when I found out they were clearing everything out. He was the only one I couldn't live without! I'm hoping the wait isn't too crazy, cause they're notoriously pretty quick.

 

Welp, today's the day. My grey Theresa should be arriving on my front porch by 6pm today. It's 1:20am now. I'm probably not going to sleep until she arrives. Yes, I am being very normal about this

I ordered back in March same as a lot of people and I assume it'll be a fairly long wait because of the discontinuation. There's likely a fair few orders for them to get through.
6 months is the current wait time so that'd be what, like september? But i'm estimating probably closer to oct/nov personally.

I suppose if nothing else it gives me the time to get together wigs and eyes and outfits and figure out bodies for the two heads.

 

I ordered a LOT of stuff X in MarchD my first order has a full doll, a set of clothes and an additional head, second order is from April, a headless Myth body... so I guess the first order could be here in November and the next one in 2026?

 

I ordered a NS Lan just before the discontinuation cut-off, one final layaway payment to sort next week and then it'll just be pure waiting for me. I really wanted to get a Berg too, but I didn't want to commit to that big an expense with the exchange rate being so brutal against the New Zealand dollar.

 

Surprisingly enough, my blank WS Camilla + NS Rabbit head and clothes is shipping! I am so very surprised, that was way faster than I expected!

 

I am pleased to write that my Lan is off on her journey from China all the way to New Zealand as of yesterday evening. Excited! Fingers crossed that she arrives in a timely fashion. I’m glad I already have some clothes ready and waiting for her. Now I just need to find some good shoes.

 

Doll Leaves order #1 came in yesterday! I am so happy about how beautiful Camilla and Rabbit are, ans surprised at how pale their Pink is! I'm so happy, they're both so lovely and Rabbit's clothes are EXQUISITE, I cannot wait for them both to have a face

 

June 24th to July 9th... that's how long it takes for a Doll Leaves package to arrive in New Zealand after it has been posted. So pleased with my new Lan. I do wonder if they've sent me white skin rather than normal skin, she is very, very light. I've had a Doll Leaves 1/4 boy before and didn't like their bodies, but the girl body is lovely and poses much better imo. Still need to figure out a name for her. I'm really looking forward to Doll Leaves Revamp.

 

I can confirm that DL Normal is VERY pale. I got my Camilla in White and Rabbit in Normal, and I had to put them side by side and squint my eyes to realise that Normal is a slightly pinkier shade of white.

 

Still waiting for my Doll Leaves orders.

It's been around five months, but I'm not too concerned yet because I think a few different things are probably effecting the wait time. (1) the volume of orders are much larger than normal. (2) I ordered things from a distributor and both my orders included a doll or doll body from another company/maker and (3) the tariff situation has effected the waiting time for the few things I have bought from out of country.

I will probably send Alice's Collections an email requesting news of any updates if I haven't noticed a status change or received an email from them about it early this coming month. AC has been very good at answering emails on my previous orders.

I'm surprised people are already getting their orders. I suspect mine will be a little longer because I DID order grey resin and they're very likely mixing batches of resin up and casting as many as they can at a time. The less common resins tend to be left til last.

But yeah, it'd be nice to get them sooner.

Doll Leaves normal resin is really really pale, I concur. Interestingly, I found that sprouting dragon is even paler! lol.

 

I got an update, "one more month" apparently.
Which is still a little sooner than my estimate.
but would be about their usual wait time.

so yay.

 

Alice's Collections continues to be very quick to answer messages. I heard back from them a few days ago and for my first order, the earliest estimated ship out date is mid-September and the next order is estimated for another month and a half-ish. From the emails it appears that it's the non-Doll Leaves dolls/bodies that have been the limiting factors for my specific orders. Fingers crossed for safe deliveries for everyone!

Fei and Hilly look great. Lan however has the wonky eye thing which I thought they'd fixed. I'll have to see what I can do to sort that out.

 

I got a Shipping notification from DDE Sunday evening about my Lan head!! Hopefully I'll be seeing her in a few days! I'm trying to be patient because it's still in preship and I don't even have a body for her yet but I can't help being excited!!!

 

She's here!!!! ETA was Friday and jumped to Wednesday, what a treat!! It feels like she's always been here, I've loved her sculpt since her debut. I want to see if I can blend some of my ideas with her ethereal fullset faceup. Now I have to really think about a body for her...
