A surprise yesterday, my tan-resin Pearl was delivered. No shipping notice, opened the door and there was the box! I'm going to post a box opening after I take some comparison photos with my other dolls that have more pigmented resin. Will update this after those photos go up, but for now:

Whaa! She's cute. I cant wait to get mine! She shipped on the 27th last month via EMS... Tracking still shows her in China international outpost. Hope she moves soon...

Where did you order yours n how long did shipping take?

Mines been 4weeks since she shipped... And hasn't moved once on tracking with EMS. Makes me so nervous. I really hope she makes it through safely with out injury...
I had a nightmare that she arrived with out a box just in a tube of bubble wrap n lots of that orangey tape... And had broken fingers n ear, nose m knee....
Lol normal people nightmare of scary dolls coming to life... Bjd collectors nightmares of dolls arriving broken!

I ordered her in Mid-April, through Alice's Collections and she arrived first week in August. I've ordered other dolls and things through AC before and they tend to be pretty speedy*(as much as anything in this hobby can be said to be fast). Other things have given a tracking number and had no forward motion for weeks and when they finally showed movement it was pretty quick. Everything is snarled up right now but it might be good to send a message to whoever you ordered from since It's been about a month.

Well, at least I'm not the only one. An AC order arrived last week after being stuck in limbo and also crushed. Thankfully nothing was damaged.

Once she arrives i will work on making her some eyes. Take a bit longer to work on Her wig... Might prep for faceup though. Need to clean a few heads/bodies for painting lol. Sort of procrastinating till my airbrush arrives...

She arrived safely! No broken parts thank goodness lol. Her box was taped to heck and not smooshed. (Also looks like bit water damage/sanitizer) but besides that the doll herself is good.
She's so much paler then i would expect of a 'tan' lol
Shes got a few small imperfections (uneven eyelids, nostrils, lips) but i think i can fix the eyes and hide ither bits in faceup.

Already made her a pair of eyes today, will work on wig next, then her faceup/blushing... Last will be clothes she has some temp stuff but i plan to eventually sew her a druid outfit.

Will share pictures when i can borrow my husband's laptop to post. (Gotta figure out again how to post from imgur again... Cuz i forget lol and only use a phone)

 

That's excellent news. Congratulations! Doll Leaves seems to embrace the "real faces aren't perfectly even" school of design. I usually like it, but did even out the interior corners of my Lan's eyes a tiny bit. My other doll leaves girls all have some unevenness that reads as just-a-face with the face up done. The tan is pretty light. From what I've heard and read about resin casting it's pretty hard to get a deep and opaque color that won't mess with the resin's ability to set. The companies tend to not share the info about how to do that once they figure it out. : / but more and more are getting better about expanding their color range. Glad to see the progress : D

A druid outfit sounds really cool. Please share those photos if you want to, I would love to see them!

My girl has a wig now! Not sure if I'm going for some sort elegant elf in a long gown or a sparkly fae with wings. Her character is still undefined...

 

Anyone else getting the limited mature tiny Laura? I've got mine on layaway, hopefully by the time I'm done paying her off, it'll only be a month before she's shipped! Alice said they put in the order as soon as first payment is made.

 

@Swifty I'm undecided leaning towards no at the current moment. I like her rounded face and think it would be neat to swap heads with her and my elf centaur Mili, but I have a lot of doll projects already and have some other things I want to save up for. Still tempting, but yeah that and it would be helpful to see one in person and that's not a thing right now. From the website photos Mili is pretty similar in arm jointing to Laura, I can share photos of her if that would helpful?

After getting some money for my birthday, I finally ordered Lan!! I ordered the in stock one denver doll had, and I'm so excited to see her!

 

I also ordered a Lan, albeit from Alice's Collections and not in stock. So I'm right there with you waiting.

 

Not me forgetting I ordered Laura LOL. She just shipped! I ordered her September 19, and she shipped... yesterday? The 9th so about 3 months. I doubt I'll get her soon, what with the holidays, but still! That was fast

 

I made a joke in another waiting room about ordering a second hand doll and that, if my Doll Leaves order wasn't here soon, he'd be my first BJD.

Well, I got an email today saying my order has shipped. I'm hoping it takes less time than my poor I Sew For Doll order which has been struggling its way through china post for nearly two months.

I ordered from Alice's Collections in late October. I think my package left China yesterday.

I also emailed Doll Leaves the company when I was considering ordering directly and they said production time is 1-2 months typically.

So hopefully your order won't take that long.

 

thanks for the info! good to know. alice said the estimated wait time for doll leaves right now is 3-4 months, which from what i've read isn't so bad. definitely could be worse.

 

I’m still waiting on a Berg I bought through DDE at the end of August. I shouldn’t complain, I ordered 3 other Doll Leaves dolls in that same time period and they’ve all arrived already. DDE must have had them already on order in the options I chose.

 

You can message DDE about wanting a status update/any information on your order. I have sent them an email before when it had been a while and they got back to me quickly. The last time I asked them about an order they had most of it but were waiting on another part of my order to come in before they sent everything out together. Good luck and safe shipping!

 

My Doll Leaves Lan is officially in my country and has left the international processing centre (in other news, my I Sew For Doll order has also miraculously turned up in my country). So hopefully maybe possibly in the next few days she'll be here.

just got note my una shipped. it's been less than a month so i'm honestly shocked at how fast it seemed to be delivered to alice's collections. here's to hoping it'll make its way from china soon!

 

update: somehow the package was sent to the wrong zip code in my area, so I have to get USPS to correct the forwarding address. i checked with alice's collections to make sure they didn't put the wrong zip code on the package, and they confirmed that they had not. so hopefully USPS resolves the issue soon.

 

update #2: finally got her! she's super sweet. sending the head out for a faceup shortly. i'll send pictures when i can. :^)

 

I just ordered my second Doll Leaves! It’s from Denver Dolls and it’s in stock so it shouldn’t be long. My first boy doll! I ordered Jeremy for my birthday/Valentine. Still trying to decide on a name.

Just ordered Louis from alices collections plus some clothing! That was only a couple days ago though and I'm already so impatient ahhhh

 

I finally did it, I ordered somebody!!! I had such a hard time choosing, but DDE made it easy. I have preorder dolls that won't be here for months, and I didn't want to add another to that list lmao, so I narrowed down to whatever was in stock, and from there I had to choose between Berg and Oscar. Berg was my first choice, but I did not want another faceup to do, so I picked Oscar! No character for him, no name, no real ideas lmao, but that's how I do most of my dolls these days! We'll see what I like for him when he gets here. I'm hoping he'll make it to me by Saturday, but I'm not going to be bummed if I have to wait until next week because Monday and Tuesday are my weekend!

 

My boy's tracking is stuck and I'm finding it hard to be patient

Edit: HA, it updated just a few minutes ago! He might make it to me tomorrow if I'm lucky. Exciting!!!

 

He didn't make it today, he sat around in a UPS building somewhere in my city, which is a bummer. Buuuuut I won't have to worry about not being here to get him right away, or him sitting outside, because Monday's my day off so I'll be home. So now it's just... more patience, a quality I lack more and more the longer I spend in the hobby for some reason?

 

He's finally here!!!! (link to his box opening) My Oscar I'm calling him Mitchell for now, but idk if I'll keep that name permanently. We'll see!

Hi guys! Do any of you know an approximate wait time for Doll Leaves right now? If anyone has gotten the myth body, I would love to see it in action! Hoping to order one soon!

 

I ordered an in stock Doll Leaves Teresa from DDE yesterday and 12mm eyes, even though she is supposed to wear 14mm, but the eyes were to die for! I hope she can rock them like nobodys business. Teresa is in normal skin and has no face up.

My first ever blank doll! I'm looking for a face up artist allready, and have a general idea of what I want, but will be leaving it mostly to the artist.

I just ordered Doll Leaves MSD Ben from Denvor doll today. He was actually in stock! I have never had a BJD ship so fast but they already sent me a shipping notification. I am so excited!!! Can't wait to add him to my other Doll!

 

I ordered Doll Leaves Leilia from dolly planet since they had her in stock so hopefully my wait won't be too long. Something about her just made me come back to look at her cute face over and over again and then finding her in stock kind of sealed the deal and I couldn't resist anymore.

I got the set with the deer legs so I'm curious to see how she'll stand with them or if I'm switching them straight to the human legs. The idea of not having to worry about shoes does sound very appealing to me though....

 

Just ordered Doll Leaves Lan [head only] on Alice's Collections. I am waiting for a Doll Chateau body and DC head, but I've been looking at Lan for a while now and she's such a cute yet quite mature sculpt, she was instant love and "picture-bonding" [is it a thing?] Seeing @Sy_bil357 's Willow in recent Doll profiles was breaking point for me.

I'm glad DL are not the most expensive dolls out there cause my wallet is already crying. I will try to hybrid her with DC body. I was slightly wary in regards to DL quality, but honestly, I've been browsing so many MSD-sized female sculpts and none spoke to me the way Lan did! And what is this hobby if not chasing your perfect doll?

EDIT: oh and I ordered DC body in pink skin and Lan in normal...but I don't really care about the possible mismatch at the moment

 

just started a layaway on mei, the double girl, through alice's collection! I had thought I was done spending for the month, but her sculpt is so beautiful and intriguing to me that I just had to! not sure yet how long the wait time will be, but I'm super excited!

 

I’m waiting on a Lan from Alice’s Collections… just a big held breath, I hope I vibe with her irl as much as I do with her photos.

When I ordered her I was totally smitten and now I feel less excitement as time passes. In the meantime I found my grail doll and ordered another one...hope I will love Lan once she comes in, nothing sadder than unloved new doll!

 

Ah, only a week or two ago, so I'm pretty sure I'll be waiting a while. In the meantime I'm going to just chill out and plan for what I'll do when she gets here/focus on the kids I already have!

 

I just ordered my Christmas present, a sweet little Louis, from Alice's Collection. What are their wait times like for full dolls at the moment, if anyone knows?

 

Well, I ordered a full set Matthew on October 1st , and decided to message Alice collections for an update at the end of November . She got back to me and told me due to their (slow ?)production time it will be another 2 months at minimum.

I'm hoping for sometime January but I'm not holding my breath lol. Close to 3 months so far.

 

I ordered grown up Amara with face-up (together with some accesoires) on the 27.12.2021 from Alice‘s collection! She‘s my first BJD and I‘m so excited for her! I hope she arrives in April, then she can be a birthday present for myself!

 

I’m so glad I get to hop in here ^_^ just purchased a blank Louis head.. I will hybrid him with my DC Kid body :b. His sculpt is so cute! I wanna sculpt little teethies for him I hope it arrives as swiftly as it can.. It would be really funny if he arrived after I already left for college xD

Congrats! I hope he comes quickly! I haven't heard anything about my Louis yet (though, since he's a blank full doll, didn't plan to). Just checked on AC and he's still in the "Processing" state, I guess they stay that way until the doll is in AC's hands to ship to the customer?
