Oops my hand slipped and I ended up ordering Dora in peach while she's on sale. I ordered from Alice's Collections. I have a hybrid idea in mind for her (her head + a DZ human body?)

I'll admit I lurked the thread for the past year and the wait times have got me super anxious. I don't think I'ver ever waited longer than 4-5 months for a doll before...

 

After Almost 14 months I just pick up my Laney from the post office today and I Can't be happier! She is very feminine and kind looking. I was first shocked by the size of her butt, but I fell for Her figure in a few minutes. She is my only girl, and I just head over heels with her. I just leave the waiting room, and start to costumise her. I Feel it will Be lots of fun!

 

I made a full post and realized I messed up lol. Still getting used to being back. Anyway. I was supposed to be downsizing but I couldn't stop thinking of her and I pulled the trigger and did it... put Ona fullset on layaway! Holy crap you guys!!!!

 

Congrats! I had a similar reaction when I saw Ona, though I only got the nude version. She's gorgeous!

 

She is!! Doll Chateau dolls are so unique! I really like the big art doll feel. She’ll be my first doll from them and I’m so excited to see her in person!

I just bought a Nicola-B head with faceup from acbjd! Now let's wait between six and nine months... I hope it arrives with no issue.

Wasn't Dora a recent released? As in summer of 2020? Is it okay that I am a bit peeved that people are already getting her when i think some people here are at 12-16 months? What the hell, Doll Chateau

 

It is understable. Did you order a fullset or a blank doll? Have you tried contacting them or the dealer to check what's happening?

 

Anyone have any experience with ordering Doll Chateau from Alice's Collections? Are the wait times as bad as with BjdDivas (i.e. over a year?)

 

I checked with my dealer when other people were receiving their same doll the I ordered, but it wasn't in. I ordered a blank doll. I am almost at a solid 14 months to the date. When I hit that, I'll e-mail them again. And it's only a couple days from now anyway.

From what I heard from BJDivas themselves, Doll Chateau is a bit time negligent with all dealers. If you're wanting to double check, I suggest e-mailing Alice's collections with questions directly. They are very friendly.

 

Holy... that's a lot of time. I can't deny I got a bit afraid because I've ordened a DC doll too...
I would recommend to try re-emailing them when you hit 14 months. If not, maybe sending an email directly to Doll-Chateau might be useful too. I hope you can get your doll soon.

 

i've had everything from 3 months to a year to deliver, DC is very sporadic...
i'm still so weak for their sculpts

 

In 2 days it will be officially a year since I ordered my Y-05 body in WS through BJDivas and 5 months since I've finished paying it off. I thought putting it on a 7 month layaway would help the time go faster but dang lol
It's my birthday near the end of this month and I was hoping it would have been here by now but unfortunately that is not the case ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree! Their sculpts are so beautiful and unique. They're hard to resist. I just hope they get their production time more consistent.

 

WOOT! I just found and put an Elizabeth spider on layaway!

I have wanted one since they first came out.

I never added it to the waitlist, but I'm nearing the 1 year mark waiting for my Fergus. I hope everyone's orders show up soon!

EDIT: Just got word he's ready to ship! I ordered him March 29th last year if anyone is curious.

 

Just ordered a fullset Enoch and a blank Evangeline, both in pink skin, from Alice’s Collections! I’m wicked stoked to add more 1/3 dolls to my collection I love clown dolls or anything clown adjacent so Enoch was meant to be, and I’ve always wanted Evangeline

 

DC wait times really are all over the place. A friend and I got shipping notices for our purple dolls, which we ordered on the literal last day of the event (Sep 30). Placed through Divas.

 

Well, it happened. Evidently my Noah is now ready for shipping! I don't know if anyone wants an unboxing, since I think quite a few people have him. I hope to turn his body into a double jointed body, regardless.

My Fergus arrived today! The lower half of his body is suuuuper greasy and lots of little bits of stuff was stuck to him, I was able to wipe most of it off but I'll probably give him a good scrub down. Other than that he looks great!

Noah came home safe and sound. I'm already started messing around with some parts, but I'm now intimidated by the idea of merely taking him apart to customize, much less modify. I didn't realize he was a stringing nightmare. He has two strings: His arms, and everything else. Everyone, I'm scared. But now that he is home. Goodbye thread. If I get over my fears and start modifying him, I'll be sure to link everyone here.

 

I've placed an order for 2 Barbara's due to the limited re-release. It'd be nice to see some more of the older sculpts come back if only for a short while.

 

Not much to add, just lurking. Coming up on the 12 month mark in about two weeks and still no word. Everyone else in the waiting list that ordered in April of 2020 seems to have already gotten their orders way back in August so no idea what's going on there. But my last DC order took about this long so I can't be surprised, lol. Just contributing for knowledge's sake.

 

Did you order direct from DC?

 

Through BJDivas, which I know tends to tack on to the waiting period due to how DC ships. But others who ordered after me through BJDivas have gotten their orders so I don't think it's a "waiting for shipping" situation so much as "it's not been made yet" situation. It is what it is though. This is par for the course. However, someone else who ordered the same doll I did a week before me got their order back in August..so..maybe I should be a tad more concerned.

 

@akaisha0 At this point, I’d give divas a nudge and ask what’s up, especially if the same order from someone else came in so far back
If anything, they’d be able to talk to dc about it

 

Just finished paying off my Xaviera from Denver Doll. I really hope she gets here soon since I ordered her in October.

Haha yeah I know that's probably not realistic but fingers crossed anyway.

 

Last April, I placed full-set Alan (human version) on 6 month layaway with BJDivas... He just arrived today! That makes it just under a year total. Given how hectic and crazy last year was, I'm very pleased! And so excited ... Alan's the doll I've been wanting since I first started the hobby. I'm so happy I got to snag him before he was discontinued!

Small update. Spoke with BJDivas and my Hyman actually arrived recently to them but the deer mask I ordered has not. So..we are on to month 13 of waiting, lol. If that skull wasn't so dang pretty I'd regret waiting this long for it. But I'm sure it'll be lovely even if I have to wait a long time for it. Apparently the date I put in the wiki was wrong as my order was actually placed in March, not April. I will update it...eventually.

Currently waiting on an A-Body 04 in White that I bought through Alice's Collections along with two shirts, a pair of pants, and boots on 03/14/2021. I paid the extra 20$ for expidited shipping so hopefully I get him pretty quickly after DC sends him out.

 

Thankfully my DC order from March/April 2020 shipped unexpectedly (Hyman + Deer Mask)! Unfortunately it's already MIA as USPS claims to have not received it despite..receiving it..so..we'll see where this goes next lol.

Oh man, I'm just now realizing its going on a year and a half since I placed my order for my Nicola-A fullset! Is anyone else still waiting? I ordered January 2020. I'm also still waiting for my Emi Ant, ordered July 2020.

From checking the Facebook page, it doesn't seem like BJDivas has heard anything from DC lately about shipments.

My fullset Nicola have been produced 8 months, I had 3 months layaway. Ordered February 2020 and received on October 2020.
Dealer placed an order in DC when I paid first payment. Can you ask your dealer when was order placed? Because DC announced 6-7 months for fullset now.
I don’t know how is communication between DC and dealers going, but last months I spoke with DC sales manager by email, and they reply very fast, even faster then my dealer answer, I was surprised.

 

I'm wondering if its because I also ordered an Emi Ant as well as my Nicola-A that my order is taking so long. I didn't order anything unusual otherwise, but I also remember hearing that some colors take longer to cure than others, and since Vhei-wen has green skin, that, along with the Emi Ant could be what's taking so long.

Plus, being in the US could also be a delay. I know that international shipping to the US takes longer because of COVID quarentining.

Oh, and to answer your question, @Eva Brown, my dealer is BJDivas. When I checked their Facebook page a day or so ago, I didn't see any updates on DC dolls being shipped anytime recently.

I'm patient, but this is the longest wait I've ever had for a doll, let alone two. I hope DC ships them soon.

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 Bjdivas just got my Grace in (green skin, face-up and body blushing) from the discontinuation. I didn't order the fullset, but maybe yours will pop up soon-ish? DC is slow... My last order didn't take too long considering, but I think some people are still waiting from the same ordering period.

 

Thanks for the update, @Bristol, I feel better knowing that dolls are going out, albeit slowly.

OMG I placed an order for Nicola B in December 2020 and I'm hoping to get her soon.... 1,5 year waiting seems so long omg...

 

I wrote DC directly in April, wanted to place an order for Medusa, and luckily they had her in their stock I got the tracking number today, because I asked to add make up and body blushing for her, and it took 1,5 months as they said. Can’t wait!
It was my first experience of direct communication with them and it was very smooth.

 

l ordered both Phoenix and Nicola B directly through Doll Chateau and I can confirm that they're very nice to work with

 

Me too! I ordered a Nicola-II head on 28th February. Haven't got any messages yet.

Btw my Medusa finally came today. I’m happy, she is precious!
She came in new DC black box with different CoA (now it’s a folded postcard).
I was afraid about the quality of her basic make up, but it really well made!

I just ordered an Alva fullset in WS from Alice's today! I'm quite excited, I've never gotten a fullset before! Seeing all these waiting times kinda bummed me out but I'm in no hurry I'm quite expecting 8-12 months waiting honestly.

 

@eichispee Glad to hear that!! I've seen some Alva around and they're absolutely gorgeous. I've heard that DC's waiting time has improved greatly recently, a friend of mine got her blank Alva just in 3 months recently. Looking forward to see your Alva someday

 

I guess if I ordered in October 2020, I've still got a long wait ahead... well that's awful. I was hoping she would be here by now in time for my birthday.
