Doll Chateau Waiting Room v.7

Sep 21, 2019

    1. I got a reply for my email too. They said, that they get some winged Laney, so maybe the wait won't be too long. (Mine is human type). Hope for the best

    4. I've been seeing a few people start to receive their dolls ordered around the mid-March point (I ordered a Cephalopod and a DV girl through DenverDolls) and I'm starting to get that excited/nervous feeling haha! This was only my 2nd doll order ever and I'm not sure how DD handles shipping multi-company orders so I'm trying to tell myself not to expect anything until at least another few months (just in case). And yet, I'm back to keeping my eyes peeled on DoA every other day for updates

Either way, I love seeing pics of new DC babs!

    5. my baby body is here !!!!! omg!!! and my local post office just announced that they were closing up due to the wildfire smoke, so I feel super lucky to have gotten her in time!!!!

I posted photos to my ig
      !

    6. Ok so my babies are hereee -cries- Im so happy. I was really worried because they were shipped friday and said theyd be here monday, it was delayed due to storms making it ship on a truck instead of a plane from its first stop. But they cameeeee.

      - Alberta is huge, her horns are so much bigger than pictured but I loveeee it. Much more surface area to paint on! Got the extra torso for making her human if I ever want, idk if Ill use it much but its nice to have. Though she is currently pretty tightly strung, which might be a beast to redo the first time.
      - Elizabeth is just beautiful and I am soooooo glad I bought her. Idk why I was unsure if Id like the sculpt, quickly becoming a fav of mine. She stands far easier than I thought. Thankfully perfectly taught, if I had to restring her I might die xD;
      - Lydia is a grail of mine and Im still sad her outfit/hair didnt happen, but her faceup is gorg. Her hands are the same as elizabeths but seem even more dainty somehow, she is just as good as I hoped...ok no she is better. Im probs gonna make a dupe of her original outfit if I can sometime.

I also got a stacy and an Irma head, and they are both great. Im especially excited to paint irma. I may end up putting her head on the spider body.

The thing I am loving most is the peanut type joints. I only have dolls with far less posability like my Resinsoul Song and am so happy how beautifully they can move. So much more opprotunity for photos.

I was excited by the cool mix of eyes too, I have seen some people get all similar colors but I had a yellow, a blue, a brown/purple, and a orange snake eye type.

    7. Small update on Juliannes from BJDivas via e-mail correspondence I have going on with them. So, in the latest batch they sent a lot of the blank white Juliannes and two fullsets. So, two fullset orders have dolls but no one else yet. They have no idea if DC has even SENT the other fullset Juliannes yet but they think it's unlikely since they vaguely mentioned they'd try to send them out with the missing boxes. If you follow them on FB you'll know DC didn't send them full boxes on their last shipment (only lids, no bottoms).

    8. After about 5 months the Alva head is here though he will be going to my friend soon!
@akaisha0 I hope your doll gets to you soon, this is pretty much the reason why I'm so hesitant to even order a fullset from them! [IMG]

    9. @Hosh oh, Real Alva start to pop up, that’s awesome!
Yes, fullset from DC it’s a pain, it’s almost 9 months of waiting currently, but it’s not the end. :(
Definitely I’ll think 10 times to order fullset Doll in the future.

      Congratulations with new boy!<3

    13. I ordered a Debbie and Caroline head June 10th on a four month layaway. After reading here I assume I'll be in for a long wait :XD:
Kind of funny because I did a layaway to kind of forget about some of the wait, haha. Oh well, I guess I'll see them when I see them!

    14. Anyone hear anything about grey cephalopods yet?

    15. *playing catch-up* :sweat

Its so good to hear about all the incoming dolls, congrats to everyone that got theirs. :D

I'm still waiting on my Emi-Ant and Nicola-A fullset transboy, but that's okay. Like I've said before, I'd rather they took their time and did them both properly than to have them rushed and full of mistakes.

Can we have some pic spam from those that recently got their dolls? Its pretty cool to see everyone's newest dolls. :XD:

Edit: I just realized that I haven't added my pair to the waitlist. Oops! :doh I need to find when I ordered them....:sweat Uh...where is the waitlist?

    16. Hey all, I'm still waiting on my Noah fullset I ordered in November. has anyone else who ordered Noah received theirs?

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 there's a link to the waitlist in the very first comment on this thread

    17. I’ve ordered Barbara from Denver Dolls (in stock thank goodness!) and Gladys from Alice Collections, but she’s on layaway so it’ll be a while. ):
I’m glad to have Barbara to keep me company until then, but goodness that 7 month average of a wait will kill me!
I’m knew so this is a weird question, but what if Gladys goes on discontinuation before I finish my layaway? Or in general what would happen?

    18. Yes! I recieved my noah about.. 1 or 2 months ago? Fullset too. He's such a pretty boy! Anything you'd like to know?

    19. You'd still get your doll because it was ordered before the discontinuation. Even so, they do discontinuation sales that give time to order, like a last call.

    20. Almost 9 months waiting for Nicola. Still silence from DC.

    21. I finally had the time to add my Nicola-A fullset and EmiAnt to the waitlist.

*rambles* Looks like I'm the only one that ordered in July. :kitty2 AdamaAnt has a name, but I'm still working on one for my Nicola transboy. I think he might not tell me until he comes home.

I just realized that its going on 9 months for my first order. Pre-COVID...wow. :nowords:

    22. Thank you! This was very helpful!

    23. I was just trying to feel out if I had a while left to wait or not yet. I've reached out to BJdivas to see if they have any update. would love to see any pics though and live vicariously through your boy!

    24. I'd love to show you photos of my pretty boy! I just.. need to figure out how to picture post on DoA :'D It's so hard. Soon!

    25. HOORAY! My Nicola-A transboy finally told me who he is! I hope this works out, it seems to so far, anyways.

His name is Firryn Zar'lendaa, and he's a JEDI! My first Star wars character! I'm so thrilled!:dance

Now to find him a purple lightsaber and figure out what style Jedi outfit he'll have! I may even get him an R2 unit just because. :kitty2

I can't wait for him to come home, this is going to be SO. Much. Fun! :evilplot::XD:

      I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

    27. Finally got an update from BJDivas on my Noah! They let me know that DC has been pretty scattered with when they're finishing dolls and sending them out. They also warned me that any amount of customization (I asked for the blood tear o be removed from his faceup) pretty much puts you at the back of the line and adds a bunch of wait time. They said I'll probably get my boy by the end of the year.... so I'll definitely pass that 12 month wait time :sigh

      • x 3
    28. Oh no!! A year to wait sounds like an absolute killer ):

      • x 1
    29. i know this might sting, but i actually asked for the cut on his chest to be removed and i still got him after about.. 8 months? XD God darn it DC! :< be nicer to them Noah lurvers!

    30. Oh, bad news :(
Full set dolls definitely will take much more time then all dealers expected and told to their customers. All extras just add much more additional time to produce.
So it means that companies really not interest to make full set dolls for sale, except promo dolls.
Thats really sad. I hope nobody come with any defects because of company’s rush.

    31. I was so excited yesterday to receive a notification that my sweet Esa ant doll is shipping from Alice Collections! I ordered her on Aug 7, she's a blank doll. I'm looking forward to her arrival so I can work on her styling!

    32. Lucky!

The folks with BJDivas did warn me there doesn't seem to be any pattern to when they get dolls so I guess it's just luck. They told me "DC has been shipping us from all over the place, some things from early to mid last year and then some things from summer of this year, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. " I wonder if it's the same with other services like Alice collections or Denverdoll too.

    33. 3 weeks of beating around the bush and I did it...
Just ordered Grace from DDE stock :love
She is discontinued and quite rare as I noticed, I didn’t find a lot of pictures of her. I’m excited I’ll have one

    34. Seconding what has been said before, since I didn't know this either, I have also received confirmation now that special requests have wait time added. To my knowledge the rest of the fullset Juliannes have hit BJDivas but those of us who had custom requests (such as me requesting the bra not be painted) unfortunately were not in that batch. No ETA so we will for sure be surpassing the 12 month mark since today does mark the 12 month mark for some of us and I'll hit it in 11 days. I won't be requesting further updates from BJDivas so I won't post here again until I actually get a shipping confirmation and will update the wiki accordingly when that happens but no idea when. As has been seen here before, it could be another month or another 9 months for all I know. Just be aware if you had any custom requests. At this point I rather wish I had just ordered it standard and acetoned off the bra myself. Lol. If it's a simple thing you can change yourself? Don't put it in as a special request. It's not worth the added wait.

Posting this for general knowledge's sake so people may be aware when making special requests when ordering.

    35. With COVID and the weird weather this year, it doesn't surprise me that things with DC reflect the strangeness of 2020. I bet they are doing batches by size. If 20 people order one doll, and 200 people order another, they may be doing the smaller batch first. Or the batch that has the least fullsets, or the batch that has the ordered dolls partially ready to go or....:sweat

I'm patient. Firryn will be worth the wait! :3nodding:

    36. Small update again. BJDivas contacted me because Doll Chateau contacted them. I'm unclear about the why behind this but I'm going to accept. I was offered a standard Julianne fullset sans my request so I don't want to wait for the completion of my special requested version. I accepted. I will update the list upon arrival of the doll.
I have no idea if it's that DC missed the special request remark and so sent a regular and the error wasn't caught until now or if someone's order fell through and this was going to be offered as an in stock option. I sincerely don't know, but I'll be taking the option presented to me.

    37. Jumping in here since I ordered in january a deer skull mask from DC and wondered when it could arrive. Seems like the bigger "resin orders" take quite a long time. Does anyone have any experience with smaller stuff from DC?

    38. Harder to say. If you ordered with a dealer, often times it's grouped together with large resin orders. If you ordered independently..maybe? I ordered a deer mask too but through a dealer and I'm at the 6+ mark on it. If you've been waiting 11 months that's incredible. Unfortunately par for the course right now I hate to say.

    39. Thanks for your answer!
I ordered with Doll'sSinging/Jeeryama in January, as a late christmas present for myself - oh well. It does make sense that they ship smaller parts with large resin orders, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe it will arrive soon-ish. I'm not really in a hurry, just curious. :kitty2

    40. Please do post it when it arrives though! I would love to see. I've never actually seen someone who has owned it before so this is very exciting. Did you order it blank or with makeup?

    41. My nude Alva just shipped! This one is coming with his body and I waited over 5 months for him. Just in case anyone is wondering I got him through DDE.

    42. I did order it blank - I am not very good at painting but I thought maybe I could give it a try this time. And of course, I'll include a picture as soon as I have it. :dance
Just as a heads up, a friend of mine did contact Doll'sSinging/Jeeryama yesterday - the response was that just a few days ago a larger package with resin arrived, so for all of you waiting as well - keeping my fingers crossed!!

    43. Finally, after three months of traveling from China my Cecilia head has arrived! In the meantime, she returned to Alice's collections and was sent back. I'm so happy! :cheer

This head is very big. I didn't expect that. Of course, I knew she was bigger than usual. I've to try this on the DC bodies I have at home.
She is cute after all. I am delighted! :love

    44. My compromise Julianne arrived today. There were some scratches in the paint and the front criss cross strings were broken right out of the package. But from what I've seen from others, this is sadly very common with DC fullsets right now. Other than that she's in good shape. I'm still going to the acetone off th ebra. Thankfully there's really no surrounding paint on the chest that would be affected by removing it so that's good. They also sent a pair of 16 mm eyes when they clearly have it listed as 14 for the fullset..but at this point I just want to enjoy my doll and wash my hands of the situation. Just general info for knowledge's sake. I also found it odd that the "COA" in no way references the doll. DC usually only issues cards with a picture of the doll from past orders I've had from them but this time it's just generic stuff so I don't know if that' unique to Julianne or if they're doing away with the original COA forms entirely..seems like a bad plan on their part because there's literally nothing tying the COA documents you're given to the doll type let alone the doll itself.

I still have a May order I'm waiting on then I'll update the thread with once it ships/arrives.

    45. The coa thing is something they’ve started doing for all dolls over the past year

    46. Just made another payment on Firryn and Adama. :)

Does anyone know how to check and see how many payments are left on BJDivas? I'd love to be able to see when my two are paid off.

    47. If you're wanting to check, I'd just message them. It'll take a bit to get a response back...but as for a 'non-person' way to check...I have no idea.

    48. I have to admit that, knowing how busy they are, I feel a bit guilty asking. :sweat But perhaps I should contact them.

      Thanks!

    49. I absolutely feel you on that. Honestly I feel bad if I have to ask something more than once every couple of months. Just be patient that it might take a couple of weeks for them to get back with you.

    50. My Ceph and my julianne is in the country now! they're just being customs checked, so that's gonna suck, but besides that.. yay!

    51. :celebrateWOOT! BJDivas just emailed me to tell me that Firryn and Adama are paid off! I think I still need to pay for shipping, but that shouldn't be too much, since I'm also here in the US.

Now, the wait is only for the shipping notice...if DC has finished and shipped them, that is. Like I've said before, I'm patient. :3nodding:

    52. Anyone look at the waiting room and notice that Doll Chateau orders with BJDivas take far longer to receive than other doll dealers?
EDIT: This is not an attack on BJDivas at all. I know that DC waits to send them a one huge shipment instead of many smaller ones. I just think it's odd that the difference seems to be that dramatic is all.

    53. I think it’s says something about DC and how they treat new dealers/Overseas dealers

      • x 2
    54. The way DC sends those orders is just insulting, too. :(

On an upbeat note, I sent a message to BJDivas a few days ago checking on the status of Juliannes, and they told me early this morning that mine was in (blank, ws) so hopefully more people will start hearing that theirs are in too!

    55. My gray skin Julianne fullset finally, FINALLY shipped from BJDivas this past week! Just over a year long wait, yikes! I'm in Canada so I have no idea how long she'll take to get to me with the whole COVID shipping situation but I'm hoping she'll get here in less than a month, at least!

    56. I guess if yall are getting in your Juliannes, it wouldn't hurt to e-mail asking about my Noah. Especially since most of the orders on the waiting list from March and April that weren't using BJDivas ARE ALREADY IN WTH

    57. I'm now wondering how long I will have to wait to get my Nicola-A fullset (and my Emi-Ant). It seems that DC treats dealers different, especially US dealers.

      Patience, Ryu, patience. :sweat

      Ryu

    58. BJDivas actually contacted me rather quickly. They say that DC doesn't treat them any differently than any other dealer. DC ships sporadically for everyone. They also stated that many orders made through them aren't recorded, so don't take the DoA waitlist to heart. BJDivas is super understanding. Goodness. :whee:
Also no, my order isn't in yet. RIP.

    59. I'm still waiting for my Noah too, I emailed bjdivas a few weeks ago and they warned me that DC has been sending dolls to them out of order from when orders were placed. I specifically had asked for a minor change to the faceup which they warned me generally means that the order will take longer.

    60. Today long awaited mail from Christina Jeeryama is finally came.
My Nicola-B is on her way home! :love
