I am utterly in awe of Floyer light and dark, they are so beautiful.
I mean no insult but I did see the outfits are $535 each ??
I know they are super limited but oh well, maybe another doll, another time lol

 

does anyone have any resin colour comparisons between dika and little rebel? i was hoping to put the tenten head i ordered on the dk-62cm-boy-body-ver4 from alice's collections :0
id like to see proportions too, if anyone has them~
i was also wondering if anyone knew if dika did resin matching, since i was thinking about emailing them and asking if they did, if no one had any pictures of matches, or the matches were bad. :0

 

I was wondering is Alice Collections the only option to buy one of the 70cm Dika Dolls besides buying direct from them? With Mintoncard stopping sells what other options are there for us in the states? Or more so what is the best shop with a layaway option. I have a friend wanting to purchase a new release but paying the doll in full straight up isn't possible.

has anyone got the version 3 70cm boy body?

are the knees really as wonky as they look in the promo pics? the hands look really nice, and the shoulder width is good for the giant head i'm trying to hybrid -- without the whole body being bulky bodybuilder style. but what is the posing like? It's a little hard to tell in the website photos. And.... are the upper arms the right length for the body? they look fine in some of the promos but in one of the angles.... maybe not???

any info would be appreciated!

 

@americanseamstress You may have already seen this by now, but the company did eventually put up pictures of Floyer's blank head, floyer-Products-DikaDoll 2016 Summer event. There's also a basic version of him, $510 70cm Dika Doll Senior Floyer-Products-DikaDoll 2016 Summer event. Every version of him looks so good.

I did see that! I'm glad they posted it, because I was beginning to wonder if my email had gone into the abyss because I picked the wrong one, or it was inactive or something!

 

Has anyone already ordered a Floyer? I'm thinking on getting just a head and switch him onto my Spirit doll body when I want to futz around with him. Like a permanent floating head. I was drooling when I first saw Floyer and since all of my other dolls have characters it'd be nice to have a 'model' doll who could wear anything.

 

@PennyForTheGuy - I'm considering getting Floyer as well. ^^ What skin were you planning on getting him in? Is it a good match with the spiritdoll resin?

 

I'm planning on getting him in normal yellow. I' haven't seen any comparisons with spiritdoll's normal yellow resin but it should match fairly well. If it doesn't, time to blush.

 

Hey all~ I'm also popping in because I'm super into Floyer and am this close to buying him. I haven't bee this in love with a doll in a long, long time.

I just had qestions about the Ver 1 & Ver 2 bodies. The measurements are about the same, but does anyone know if Ver 1 sucks at posing or something? I hate the look of Ver 2 with all those parts, but if it's because it vastly improves the otherwise shit posting of ver 1 or something, I might have to consider it. (Also, should I be worried that the new listing for Floyer doesn't have tan as an option but the other dolls listed before and after him do?)

 

Oof, I am so taken with Abel, you guys. I just love his gentle but not quite smiling expression ... And now that there's an event on ACBJD, I'm tempted to pick him up. However it's very hard to find other pictures of him. I was wondering if anyone might have some extra photos to share? Also, can anyone tell whether he's being displayed with normal-white or pure-white skin in the official photos?

 

@lavalunar As Abel is completely new the only pictures floating around are going to be the official ones from the company. You could also try their instagram account, Dikadoll (@dika_doll) • Instagram photos and videos.

I'm following this thread too… I'm planning to purchase dikadoll felis in 3 part torso ver 1 right? How was the body pose? Are the knees joint single jointed? I'm in love with felis face sculpt but i dunno much about the body…

 

I know this was asked a few pages ago, but maybe there has been some development since. Does anyone have any pictures of the 68cm body with a dikadoll head on it? I'd much rather have a 68 cm doll than a 73 cm doll, if I can help it, but I'm worried that the head will look disproportionate on the smaller frame ... does anyone have any experience with the new slightly shorter body? Thank you.

 

I'm really loving Floyer. Lately I've been bitten by more male sculpts than ever before. Hopefully I can order him in the upcoming months.

 

I'm putting away about 25 per paycheck to get his head. I should be able to get it by October. I don't really like many of Dika's head sculpts but Floyer has really grabbed me too.

I'm still considering the body, can't choose between 68 or 70 cm body, so if anyone has info about it I'll really glad. or if I can hybrid dika doll sculpt which company body that will look good on them? I don't mind If there's some slightly different resin color since I'm planning to body blush the body

 

Can someone tell me about the size of Dika Doll heads? I got a Feeple70 body yesterday and found that "normal" sized heads are a tad too big (Tried an IOS "S" head). I have a Ringdoll head (Moyu), that fits pretty good and is a little more on the smaller side.

I've had my poor DikaDoll Paradise head floating around for far too long but I don't really want to put him on the 73cm body. I'm just not sure if his big head would look right on the 68cm body

 

@Magical Rin // Since nobody seemed to have an answer here, I went ahead and ordered Abel on the 68cm body. I'll definitely post a box opening and some details/pictures about the body once he arrives, though that may not be for a while! Hopefully someone else will reply in the meantime.

True! I'm quite new to the BJD hobby, and the thought of owning a doll nearly 73cm in height was a bit daunting, so I decided to go ahead and take the bite out of my wallet for the 68cm ... not a huge difference, but hey, I'll take it! Ugh, too true! I'm starting to try and cut back on the figures (key word: trying) ... I've got that Koto Victor pre-ordered but other than that, I'm being good! All of your dolls are beautiful, by the way. I love your Transparent Façade dolls, especially! OR-doll Limos was the first sculpt/face up I ever saw that really made me want to own a doll ... congrats on such a lovely collection!

 

Haha~ the few centimetres make a big difference. I'm sure you'll love him. My first BJD was a 70cm DollZone Yuu-2, I have a feeling he's the reason I prefer SDs since he was my first. I love my MSDs as well though, especially my Soom Shale

I'm trying to cut back on my figure and merchandise purchasing too. So far I'm failing miserably but I'm getting there now! I have nowhere near as much pre-ordered as I did earlier in the year. I was so tempted by Koto Victor but with no Yuuri announced my wallet was safe.

My OR-doll Limos is actually not so secretly my favourite doll I was mesmerised by his beautiful face up as well, what a lovely doll to get you interested in the hobby.

 

I'm trying to figure out what skin tone they are showing their dolls in and having a hard time figuring it out. I thought maybe someone here could help me determine if in this photo the skin is normal yellow or normal pink? Thanks!

 

I wonder if he's white skin. You can email Dika Doll and they'll tell you for sure. I did that to find the color of basic Floyer.

 

I ordered Abel through ACBJD and asked about the resin color prior to purchase. They were really quick in getting back to me, so that's an option too!

 

I know for sure it's not white since their other photos are of him in white skin that one was a little more obvious to tell. But I suppose that is a good idea.

I love this beautiful modified Dew girl! She is so cute!

I just got a Dikadoll Aqua head in the regular white resin (ivory white), from the marketplace, and I'm a bit stumped as to which other doll makes might match her...

The head only just arrived, and it's evening, so the light is all indoor light. I put the head on a new Delf body I have in the "Real skin Normal" colour, and it appears to be an almost match... Puzzling. I'll have to take some pics in daylight, hopefully tomorrow.

Does anyone else have photos of DK white resin with other makes?

 

I finally finished saving for my Floyer head. Got the dark version in normal yellow skin. He'll be sharing a Spirit Doll Proud body with Orsino a Doll Legend Chimera. I'll post plenty of pics of him on the Spirit Doll, I'm sure it'll be a good hybrid.

Wouldn't do anything else! I was considering waiting a bit longer to buy him with face up but I figured I'd save the sixty bucks and do it myself.

 

Ok, took a few photos today, with the Dikadoll Aqua head (ivory white) on my Luts Delf Ann's body (real skin normal resin colour):



You'll notice that in the photo there's a definite colour difference, and the head looks more yellowish. However, in person, it is pretty much un-noticeable.

Ok, I'm floored. My Floyer head shipped today, they must have had it in stock. Five days maybe from order to ship! Has anyone else had something from Dika ship this fast?

 

WOW, that's so fast! Abel also shipped today, but he was ordered in mid September. Still, for this hobby, that's pretty quick as well. I'm so excited -- but also so nervous! It says it's due to arrive on Monday. I have a training session Monday morning. Hopefully it goes by quickly and I'm home in time to sign for it!

Gentle crying -- He arrived today and he's gorgeous! This is my first SD doll, first time purchasing one brand new, and second doll altogether. I've taken some pictures, but I may have to wait until tomorrow or the day after to post a box-opening thread. One way or another, I'll certainly share!

WOW! What a wonderful sculpt! Look at that profile (the nose!) and those pointed ears and that smirk! So much character, before he even gets a faceup! Quite a lot of the trickster in that one! Love him! CONGRATS!

 

Ohhh, Abel is absolutely lovely!! I'm so tempted to get him with the holiday sale- that's such a lovely discount, no matter the body!! And it's good to know that he looks alright on a 68cm body, though I do wish it was a bit bulkier. Maybe my opinion will change with clothing.

Speaking of clothing... this is perhaps a silly question, but I haven't found any answers to it, and I do wanna know- is it possible to order through their website proper? I would assume so, as they have a PayPal link, but there's no explanation of the process. There's an outfit that appears to be only on there that I would kill to have, but I'm willing to hunt through the secondhand scene for it if I must once I'm able to. I would assume I send them an email with what I would like to order from them?

 

By the way, how do you find the resin match between Floyer's Dikadoll NS-yellow resin and the Spiritdoll NS?

 

It a fairly good match though the Dika normal yellow may be slightly more yellow? I've done blushing on the torso of that body too so that could effect it. I took a picture of the bare resins together to give a better idea of contrast. The hands are Doll legend normal yellow and they are slightly more pink.
