he was packaged really weird though??! not badly, just weird? it was like a box and a half taped together kind of? it was odd but it was very sturdy, so it's ok! i might have just opened the box weirdly too... hmm....

anyway..!
i love him very much, i had already picked out the name lorenzo for him and i think it suits him to a T!!
he's super duper tiny he fits right in the palm of my hand!! he's the tiniest tiny i own, unless you count the paper&sakura kazari i got form an event??! i literally can't get over how tiny he is, it is the cutest thing!!
his faceup looks amazing and of course he has that coating of shimmer that all dearmine dolls have so he looks like he's covered in pixie dust!! and the outfit is super duper cute too and the goggles are an A+++ accessory they're super cute! it's a little difficult to get them to sit how i want, but i guess that's just life haha!
you got the same little guy as me though, so i think you're gonna love it a lot!!

Hmm... Did you get yours directly from DearMine? I'm ordering from DenverDolls... not sure how that will be packaged, since I usually buy directly from DearMine...

I've actually got a bean sized before... Lupy, not long ago, from DearMine. It was in a cute yellow box, wrapped in a padded kind of pocket-thing. I did a Box Opening a while ago. Here:

And I bought one of the first Beans-- a Bitter faceup-- from DearMine at Dollism Plus US-- that one was in a little padded pocket--slightly different design-- and fit in a tiny folding cardboard box with carry-handles...

Ahhh, I'm SUPER excited, I just placed my order for an Agrippa! I've wanted a Dearmine doll for a while, and I've never seen a giraffe bjd before and thought they were perfect.

 

(Please delete this post if this isn't allowed, but I have a question: should I use this waiting list if I'm waiting on an order from Dearmine via their affiliate company Dolk? One of the items is being custom-made (a Bean outfit,) and it's going to be shipped to them before it's shipped to me. Is that okay?)

 

@sprinkles -- I've ordered from Denver Doll Emporium and am on the list. I think it's OK to put yourself on the list if you're waiting for ANY Dearmine Doll--no matter who it is being purchased from. Including buying second-hand!

Oh I'm so excited! I ordered my Diana today. With no face-up I'm hoping she ships soon...it's looking like Dearmine has been good about 2 month wait times lately?

Just over 2 months for me and still waiting--BUT I ordered through DDE, so sometimes that can take longer...

 

Two months isn't so bad. I see you got one of the adorable Picasso beans, they're so cute! Congratulations! I hope he ships soon, I've no idea DDE wait times for Dearmine unfortunately. Everyone I know who has one has ordered direct from the company in an instant-ship fullset. : (

 

I put everything on layaway, so I'm used to waiting. Dearmine waits seem to be pretty OK. My Lupy arrived at around a month--actually PIF for her. She came with my Nocturn, which was layaway and then had to wait for Lupy, so that took longer.

Often the DDE orders have to wait for several to ship together, so that could rush some orders and delay others.

 

Oh I completely understand that. Layaway is a wonderful thing. : ) Ohhh you have a Nocturn, how beautiful! That's fair, a month wait is not bad at ALL. For that matter two months isn't either though. That makes sense...well, I don't know if a lot of people are still waiting or a lot just forgot to update, but hopefully they stay on the ball.

That's the reason I bought him. ^^; My sister has a cat who looks JUST LIKE him, even down to the little snaggletooth, and he's a notorious flirt; he'd totally have that face if he were a doll. I don't know if you're old enough to remember Johnny Bravo, but that's basically like him as a cat (only much more charming.) (Before someone's like "get him fixed!," he is. He just doesn't know.)

 

JOHNNY BRAVO was the best show. Oh geez. That is perfect and adorable! I love hearing about people finding cute dolls that remind them of pets. xD It's so cute.

Dearmine is like my favorite company. ^^ They put so much love of cute animals into their work.

I've adored Dearmine for a HECK of a long time now but Diana was the first doll I just HAD to have. I'm so glad they re-released the body and I can get my giant cat! I'm unaccountably excited and trying not to over-buy things for her...but it's hard.

There are just far from enough anthros in this hobby, both available and owned. Just ordered a Minifee recently and my cert. number was...well, in the high ten-thousands. Dearmine and my order is just above 2k in number. :O They may not be reliable counts, but. We need more cats and foxes and dogs and reptiles and amphibians on two legs!

There is, however, /always/ room for Nocturn spam, @april . Such a handsome creature, his horns are just a thing of beauty.

 

Alright, because I'm nervous I just want to confirm with everyone else...I've only gotten a confirmation email from PayPal...not Dearmine. My order status is 'Processed'.

Does Dearmine normally send out order confirmations or should I sit tight and know safely my girl is being made? D:

 

When I ordered Marshmallow, they didn't even send a shipping notification: after I was finally starting to despair of getting her, I just found a big box in the mail and PLOP there she was. (What's funny is that earlier THE SAME DAY, I had emailed then asking about her because I was starting to get worried! ^^; ) Ordering from Dearmine is like a mystery unless you specifically contact them: it's just their way. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. But if it bothers you, they have a contact page and email- you can mention your order number and just ask about it too confirm.

 

If they have the order listed on their site, you should be good. That's what's nice about websites that note down your orders... You can check there. There are some companies that don't do that... just getting an email is a lot less reassuring than you'd think, particularly when they can get diverted into spam filters or get lost somewhere. But if it really bothers you, you can always ask something in the Q&A board...

 

It only lists it if you have an account and were also signed in when you made the order, though- mine never showed up there, even though I registered for an account with (I think) the same info later on.

 

Hmmm... I can see my orders in my account... If you're having a problem then maybe you should contact then on the Q&A board?

 

It lists my order in my account, but it just displays as 'Processed' . It's said that ever since I made the order and paid; in the past when I've ordered from companies with similar layouts it updates to 'Paid' or some such. Given that I can see the order there I'm sure they received it, I just want to make sure they got my payment (outside of a PayPal confirmation).

Thank you everyone for the input! I might just post in their Q&A just to be sure. ^_^ But man that'd be nice if she just showed up someday...!

 

Oh, I see. If they don't get a payment, they'll contact you, I'm sure. I think it'll just be "Proceessed" for a while... maybe until it is "Preparing" right before shipping. It's true that different companies work differently. I think Dearmine is pretty hands-off. I only interact with them when I make layaway payments, and I don't think they send emails about it... I just know from Paypal that they have been paid and because it's then marked down in the layaway section. So it's different if you PIF.

 

@april Oh? That's good to know...I don't want to bother them (I've got this irrational fear that every time I poke a doll company they say "NOPE >8( SHE'S IMPATIENT she can wait four more weeks, muahahaha!"), so I'll double back on my word and hang tight. ; )

If I don't hear anything by the end of June (the estimated 40 workdays, plus 10 just in case) I'll give in and give them a shout.

IN THE MEANTIME! How's everyone doing? How long a wait do y'all figure you're in for for your little pawsies? ^_^ What do you plan on doing with them, any custom characters or keeping your lovelies as they are?

 

It looks like the last few to arrive have been around 2 months wait. I'm really expecting my Cocoa Bean to arrive sometime soon. I can't even check anywhere because I ordered through Denver Doll Emporium, and they don't keep that info on their website... you have to email them to check... So I'm just going to sit and wait...!!! *sigh*

 

Yeah that's my only complaint about ordering through dealers. The slightly extra wait time, and the inability to stalk your order status. ^_^ Hopefully they'll come in soon!

Dearmine just got back from a doll con so here's hoping they waste no time in making orders! How's everyone else doing? Slowly hoarding up the arrival-goods pile for their incoming resins? ^_^

 

Since I ordered the whole outfit for my Cocoa Bean, I haven't had to go shopping around all this time while waiting (thank goodness! I have often used an incoming doll as an excuse to go crazy with the shopping!).

I just had an arrival of another doll happen a few weeks ago, so I haven't been too frantic with the waiting.

 

Oh my god my Agrippa shipped already?? It's barely been a month! I didn't get an email for it or anything I just happened to check my order status. Omg I didn't expect them so soon!

 

@Zest omg congratulations!! I know with the new releases Dearmine can be pretty quick. But you give us all hope. pictures when it gets there!!!

@april yeeeeaaaah that may or may not be what I do. XD New doll, new clothing style, needs new clothes! Guah. Congrats on your recent arrival though! That can really help stave off the impulse. ^_^

I still need to order her other option eyes though. CandyKitten or nice glass...Makk doesn't have the color I need for her. I guess we'll see! Her wig is gonna be an expensive challenge though. ; ) Not a lot of silver, low-sitting buns, without bangs out there! Anyone have any suggestions?

 

@RaineFournier -- heh. Well, don't worry, I go crazy shopping for nearly every other doll I'm waiting for... But the tiny beans are hard for me to think about shopping or making clothes... And he's got a whole outfit coming with him!

The tinies are always harder for me to get stuff for. Wigs included.

Not sure about wigs at all! For My Doll maybe? (there's a GO going on, I think)

 

HE'S HERE!! ;v; A couple days late, I missed the postman on Friday so I got him today. He's much bigger than I thought, which isn't a bad thing, I actually think he's the PERFECT size! Only downside is that the little hoodie I had all picked out for him is a little too small, he's kind of very oddly shaped

It's officially been one month for me. 23 business days. Friday will make it 25, and if their promise of 40 business days to make and ship holds true...three more weeks and that thought makes me weep. xD I get so impatient sometimes when waiting for dolls. It doesn't help that I just bought her LOADS of clothes, four different pairs of eyeballs to try (all variants on light blue), and already have her face up artist lined up...

Bwah! How is everyone else doing with their wait? I know there aren't many more of us waiting in here.

 

I've actually poked DDE to ask about my Cocoa Bean since I PIF in FEBRUARY... They said they've asked DM about it, but I haven't heard anything else... *sigh*

Finally got a Shipping Number from DDE!!!! YAY!!!!

 

Yay @april , congratulations! Any idea what the hold up was? I absolutely want pictures!

I caved yesterday and messages Dearmine about an ETA. As expected they said she'd ship this month...bu b I figured that much. ^_^ Now I'm just hoping they see fit to sneak me an event item...I REALLY want one of those adorable mouse pads! Or comic books from Spring (missed the order date by 3 days!) But because I'm in-between them...I don't know, I've read Dearmine can be lenient with that. We'll see!

 

I'm not sure what the hold-up was. I contacted DDE first after 2+ months post PIF. No answer. Then contacted DDE again after more weeks. DDE emailed back and said they had recently got a Dearmine order in, but mine wasn't in it and they were contacting Dearmine. That was it!!!

Purely speculating-- maybe Dearmine hadn't got it done in time for that shipment, or forgot about it! ??? Could be any number of reasons, although DDE was clearly hinting that it wasn't on their end.

It's OK, though. I had another doll arrival to concentrate on. And I had time to work on another doll that needed stringing and painting. It was all good! And he's on the way now!

 

My Cocoa Bean (Antique Punk version) arrived today! Whew! Was watching the tracking and it seemed to take forever to get out of CO, but then it was at the door! No signature needed since it was sent Priority Mail.

Long wait since I made the order in November, had him on layaway until February, and had some sort of holdup from Dearmine since then... But worth it (and I had other dolls arriving, so it's not like I was pining away while waiting).

Everything looks great! Such a cute little thing!

So for my mom's birthday(July 3rd) I gave her her first BJD, a yo-sd bunny from Doll Family.
We both agreed it didn't seem as cute or capable in posing than other options, so it's been sold to a friend.
After some shopping, she chose a Dearmine Dorothy!
Oh and she's got a liking for mohair wigs. @__@

She's not on the forum(or internet really), so I'm adding her entry here for her.

@Distractus YAY congratulations!! I wanted a Dorothy for so long before I saw Diana. ^_^ Did you order direct through Dearmine or through DDE or? I love the little Dearpets. I got a Zuzu (same scale) and realized how many more I need, it's such a fun size!

We ordered directly from Dearmine. DDE didn't show Dorothy as an option actually, but I usually stick to direct unless I want a layaway option. Now we're figuring out clothing options since I'm not too familiar with tiny and Yo-SD sizes myself. xD
Been reading that Zuzu, Realfee, and some Azone clothes will fit. I've got some Azone things my Pure Neemos don't wear, so we'll try those out first. I do have a Zuzu dress that I had ordered as well.

 

My mom has been digging out all this old antique doll furniture she had when she was young girl. xD
Very simple block style shapes and such.
I'm going to look into setting up a small diorama on her dresser for when she arrives.
