Tiny Steampunk Kitty -- Dearmine Picasso Beans Cocoa Skin

Sometimes I fear these tiny-tiny bjds are like little snacks that I just have to have from Starbucks or something, and don't notice how they add up! Anyway, I keep trying to swear off from them, but they are just so darn cute!

This is my THIRD doll this size from Dearmine! Aaagh. I'm addicted!

Denver Dolls Emporium is a US agent for Dearmine, so I put this little guy on layaway LAST YEAR in November! I actually PIF in February, but there was some sort of delay and he only arrived TODAY in June!

Stuff in small Priority Mail Box--


It is actually just one box with padding around it. I love the gold-color of the DearMine boxes!--


Inside: Bag with little outfit and another one with eyes, putty and extra elastic--


Under those was a cute patterned zippered bag--


Inside the padded bag, head wrapped up, leg sticking out...


I got him to stand up on those little feet!


Head is faceplate style--pretty much the whole top of the head, actually--


His tail had the magnet already glued in (yay!). I used my own putty (white poster tack/quakehold) and put in the eyes (special acrylic cat-eyes)--


And, with outfit! Outfit is 3 pieces: overalls, jersey neck-cloth that slips over the base of the head, and leather cap with goggles attached. His ears have fairly strong magnets in them and can go over the cap. (He's using his tail to lean up against the zipper-bag... it's not easy to get him to stand every time.)


He's got such a cool stylized faceup!


And for scale, here he is with my 70cm Granado Neptune--


I'll need to get better photos with the other Dearmine Beans (Bitter and Lupy). I'm calling him Nemo because that seems suitably Steampunk-y, and sort of goes with Miro, the name of my other cat bean. Sort of...!

His chubby legs and skinny arms are very funny. That is his only outfit--he will probably run about nude if he's not wearing it!

You are so good to only have one! I'm terrible at resisting dolls, big and small. Small is worse because I keep thinking they are inexpensive compared to the big ones--but they really are NOT!

He's got an interesting faceup, for sure. And yeah, they totally multiply. I really, really have a weakness!

They made a larger size one, and it was hard to tell the difference between the two in photos--the faceup and outfit were so nicely done for such a small size. Dearmine makes things so TEMPTING!!!

Heh... I had two dolls arrive before him, so I was nicely distracted! And the layaways help me afford them, so I have to deal. At least I got him home. Mostly it's just the worry that something has gone wrong and the companies didn't communicate or someone forgot that makes me anxious. I worried that Dearmine forgot!!! But no, he's home. It's all good!

Oh, congrats on that!!! I've managed to snag sold-out dolls on DDE before! And DDE has such a nice layaway that it's just SO IRRESISTIBLE. Good luck with the wait. I always am OK if I know something is coming home eventually... The extra wait for this little guy just made me worry that some mistake with the order had happened! But it's all good now. And yes, the tiny size does make me think they will be easier to deal with. The cute and the layaway also make things hard to resist...!

The Dearmine bean before this little guy was a Lupy! I couldn't resist her either!!!! (I am so WEAK!!!)

 

Yes, it is tough since I can order domestically from Denver Dolls, or order direct from DearMine (which I have when they have outfits or other things the dealer doesn't have). And layaway--makes it seem too easy!

Oh, yes, for a tiny little guy, he does seem like he's ready to go exploring! He needs an airship!

 

I DO like the eyes! It's so nice when the company offers special eyes for their dolls. Some cat eyes aren't so cute, but these work so well for him!

It's amazing how they can design such cute outfits for such small dolls!

Oh, I know! The tiny dolls like this just kill my bank account!!!!

 

@Quiet and Insane -- I love their Lovers! Dearmine definitely has me too wrapped around their fingers, too! I'm hoping not to get more... but I said that several dolls ago!
