I'm working on one. Here is the project journal so far: /threads/making-shepard-my-first-head.790741/
I'm sculpting one as part of midterm project for my 3D imaging class, but it is far from what I would like it to be.
I was working on a 1/3 scale one years ago, but never fully finished the interior of the headcap. Will be working on that this summer!
I would also like to create my own head. Are there any good lessons/tutorials that you would recommend? Thank you
I have seen a few tutorials, but I need to look for them. Are you interested in clay sculpting or digital sculpting?
@alehandrita I tried some clay sculpting myself, but ditched it for Sculptris + 3D Builder. I'm currently attempting to cast the first head in resin (an exercise in frustration, let me tell you), and am working on sculpting another one that will have some moving parts on the head. Wow thanks a lot!!! I agree regarding Blender - had the same impression when I tried it. First time I hear about Sculptris, I will definitely try it especially if it's free. With clay I think I could manage to create something nice, once i will learn the holing tricks. Thank you again!!! You are the best!!!
Ive started making one, but have lazied on it for quite sometime. Also im being overwhelemed by the amount of effort needed to finish sculpts. Tho. in the near future I may continue sculpting, cause its quite nice - the idea of being able to sculot your own doll
