I liked how this recent photo of Paul (Zion) and his boyfriend Robin (Pluto Dolls Ezekiel) came out.

Good news about the bodies, I know a lot of people have been wishing for that!

 

@Diaspro Thank you for sharing the news! I have been wanting the new bodies so this is nice to hear.

 

Darn, I wish I could have had the evolved M-Line body for my Tei already, but /)_(\ at least now it's not a pipe dream!

 

I just ordered an Elijah and I'm so excited! I wasn't able to get him when he was first released and thought surely he'd be sold out by now, and as soon as I completed my order his page said sold out! Glad I didn't wait any longer.

 

I received my Miel today! Im waiting until her wig arrives (should be here in the next week) to take pictures but she is PERFECT!

 

I am so looking forward to pictures! Passing on Miel is such a regret to me

 

Ill be sure to make a solid Miel album and you can live vicariously through me

crobi dolls are so beautiful. I wish they made more 1/3 these days.

 

It's been too long since I shared my Soi, so since today had nice lighting I grabbed a quick snap. I wish her freckles photographed better, they always seem to disappear on me. *sigh*

 

I got Volks Ernest's outfit for Paul and it's so perfect for him! There's a gallery thread here if anyone wants to see more

Currently mine doesn't have one but I've I got him with his default and it was so dark (as per Crobi) so I redid it, twice, and didn't like either of them too much lol. I somehow always make him look very... Shy?

 

Is the default face up look like the official website look? I somewhat like the official look, but I know it's not guaranteed the face up artist does the same job every single time, so I choose to do my own. At least I can keep redo it if I'm not satisfied.

 

That's true. Unfortunately I'm not good at faceups haha. Crobi gave him a new default last year I believe and i bought him when he was first released. His previous default was much darker and i like the new one a lot more. I might try one more time before I give up and send him out

@1234back, thank you! I completed his outfit (more or less) last night. I appreciate your kind words! I am thinking he'll keep the braids but maybe get shaved sides.

@solitary agent, I agree, It is such a pretty color! I am so stoked I have finally been able to find one of these bigs boys with that skin!

The wig above? No, I didn't make that one, though it is handmade. It's a glorious wig- so heavy and pretty. I do make some of my own wigs, but not one yet for him. I plan to though!

 

So after seven years of being on/off the BJD wagon I've finally decided to just get the CD Jun I've wanted since... 2010?
Question, I looked through Crobi's events and it doesn't seem like they have many events that are particularly worth waiting to buy a doll for. Is that a correct presumption? Should I wait for any spring/summer event or just bite the bullet now?

 

All I remember from back in 2015 was they did not allow layaway- no option for it. I could not get my beloved mocha colored Martin until I found one on ebay 2 months ago. I suppose you can ask them via email. They do respond quickly. That's what I would do, anyway. I can even do it for you if you like.

tell me, after how much time your doll has changed skin color? I can't understand.... became my doll green or its see only me

 

Is your doll tan? Tan resins are notorious for breaking down over time and turning green as are some whites.

 

It's been ages since I'd posted here asking about bodies for my Nia head (and I'm still saving up for a body) but I thought I'd go ahead and show my boy Crobi off a little now that he's starting to look a bit like himself.

That gnawing feeling that I need a 1/3 boy to spoil keeps growing. So far Yeon-Ho is still the one that pulled at my hearstrings the most. Saving and hoping...I'm still not too sure about purchasing him standard, even with the evolved body option. I've heard they can't hold a pose...can someone confirm or deny?

How is the match of the PoPo body? I really do love those jointed hands.

yes, popo's joint hands, but I really don't recommend it... the connection part (link with arm) is somewhat pain in the....

 

Hey, hopefully one of you lovely people can help me. Do you happen to know if Crobi's wigs run large or small? I have an 8.5cm head that I want one of their wigs for, but I'm unsure if an 8 would work or if I'd be better going with a 9-10 and a wig cap. Thanks for any help!

 

@Gathephaar From my experience, they are fairly flexible. I have a size 8 with a wig cap on my female doll and another size 8 wig on one of my boys who has a slightly larger head.

I did a thing...

I caved and bought a very old Yeon-Ho head second-hand. I swore I would wait but something about this sculpt just wouldn't let me go. I hope I'll really like him when he arrives. I've never been this nervous to be honest. On top of that another company I really like has a sale running on their 65cm dolls and now I am doubting even more if I did good to jump the wagon.

On top of that I did another thing...

A body for said head may or may not be on his way to me already as well.

I really have been. He'll be my first boy so I'm a little nervous. I couldn't pass it up though, it was now or never. Both the head and body are being shipped from within the EU so I'm hopefully escaping the giant custom fees I would have gotten if I had ordered a Yeon-Ho straight from Crobidoll. Here's to hoping...

In the meanwhile I'd love to see more pictures of your boys and girls to keep me busy.

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I went to this thread lol
Has anyone else read Crobi's 10th Anniversary Event? Apparently on May 23rd they're going to sell another limited doll. I'm so torn because I want to buy a doll on sale til 20th but what if Crobi sell another limited Lance? GAH I just love Crobi's sculpt too much better than any other companies WHYYY

Sidenote: I wonder if Crobi will be selling a new limited or reselling previous ones. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT.

 

Kieran, my Elijah, arrived today! I added some freckles to his default faceup. He's really cute! His eyes are larger than I was expecting, I'm definitely glad I ordered 16mm eyes for him and not 14mm.

 

Lotsa new beautiful dolls incoming it seems lol!
My Jun came today! Finally after all these years, my first doll.

I would like to know how long it is necessary to wait, approximately, for a doll without options or make-up ? Because I heard that it was fast actually ?
I would like to order the Lance with a Evolve body and a wig, without make-up ! ^_^
