So I am starting to casually amass a collection of CP Delf heads. I found a Juri 2006 for sale cheap, then a Nanuri 2006 for cheap. Now, some months later, I have come across what I think is a mislabeled Juri 2005 and a Nanuri 2007. All of them would average out under $100 each.

The problem is, I am going to need at least one body for them to share!! This thread series has been helpful in that regards... looks like I am going to have to wait for an old Luts OR CP secondhand OR any Fairyland body. I think I can blush to resin match whatever I manage to get... but I do want a similar aesthetic.

 

I have a few floating heads as well. I am considering Guu Doll bodies for them as they have some of the same "feel" to them as the old Delf bodies and they offer resin matching. Nothing beats the original Delf bodies though!

 

I have never heard of Guu Doll, but you're right, their bodies are lovely and have a similar aesthetic! Thank you for the suggestion!

 

Agh, I don’t want to front page share, but I want to share my boy. I finally was able to change out my new El’s eyes (with Tonboko’s help showing me how the headcap works), and so my Hemlock is looking more like himself. I ought to start buying nice eyes in the bigger sizes if I’m looking to get more Delfs in the future. My first Delf, we thought he was a Shiwoo when we bought him in excitement, but nope, he’s an El. He’s perfect for reshelling my former Minifee Seorin’s character as a standalone doll. This is Hemlock “Lock’, I didn’t realize until now how much I missed him

@Pandy I just love Els, and Hemlock is amazing, what happened to him that he gets a white eye? Magic?

@mephisto , at least for my girls, I have to say I am happiest with my new Luts type 3 body. It looks essentially just like the original and I have found that it's easy to match the lighter skin tone of the new Luts Delf resin using white pastel, or if you have an air brush, even better. I need to take new pictures of my crew!

Also, Fairyland did reissue the Juri 05 head in 2012, it's a Juri12 and has some very supple differences. I think it was a 'legal in-house recast' making it ever so slightly smaller. I believe those would be shared on the Fairyland thread and they have FL60 neck adapters I think??? The 05 has the annoying (to me, LOL) head cap hook receiver thingy. Anyways, I absolutely love that sculpt and if you find one, 2005 or 2012, I'd say grab it

Here is my Juri05 on the new Luts Delf type 3 body (type 5 is also a very good poser) with head lightened to match by AngelToastb But I've done it with other dolls and pastels.

@SacredMonsoon , ROFLMAO. Ummmmm her name is Juri05. I'm realizing just how awful I am at this! I love dolls, loved them since I can remember, but their names, who they are? I can only laugh. I am missing something in the brain. I'm probably the only person who ever got a 'D' in drama and was actually trying to do my assignment, LOL.

Thus, no names....yet! And generally I've always seen them as extensions of myself. I never bought boy dolls until recently (and I love my boys!!) Maybe because I didn't relate with them? But since I've become self aware, I've decided to work on this, ahem, apparent lack of imagination, LOL. Thus today, I am going to give my Juris a freaking name!!! LOL

I would like to add one more body suggestion, well two really.... My Juris 07b looks perfect to me on the slightly taller Supiadoll 60 dj body (not the most recent, and it has it's issues, but I took it from her once, and gave it to a Supia head, but she wanted only that body so I had to buy her another, LOL.

But the cheapest option and I really like these bodies, is to buy a batch of Impldoll model bodies, special order color for $50 one time fee, no limit to number of pieces, at least not when I did it. The bodies are around $220 each and really very good, fit Fairyland/Delf clothes perfectly (Fairyland F60). Impldoll matched my sample exactly, I was super impressed...

The short story is that it was the result of a blatant disregard for proper lab safety. He ought to be less flippant about it after, but nope.

When my single friend who does lab science talks about his job, he seems like the kind of guy who is very serious about safety. He always has some interesting stories. Lock’s got too much of an interest in non-ethical things to take the time for lab safety. XD

But speaking of Impldoll bodies, I recall Tonboko’s Vampire DES is on one too. It’s pretty cute and worked pretty well, I was surprised.

 

Oh yeah! Lol, I almost forgot! I believe the seller said she was custom colored. She looks fab, even if the neck is a touch short compared to the gazelle like ones of the original type one bodies.

I hope it's ok to ask here, my sister is selling her Luts Delf Tanning Lishe and I want to know if it's a fair price if I pay her around 500€ for it? Thank you if you can give me any opinion.

Well, personally I think it's probably a pretty fair price. If I were buying her, I'd think I was paying a little much, if I were selling her, I'd feel justified in the price because she is no longer made and she is in a more rare tan skin. But I think she should be in very good condition, no UV exposure (even skin tone). I think you would have to find someone who absolutely is desperate for this model and color to go higher, and it may take forever to find that person who is willing to pay more. Plus her faceup looks rather faded unless that's the look you like as well.

But also, with my sister. If I can, I always want her to feel like she got a great deal, even if I know I overpaid. But if both of you feel either good about the price, or if you both feel you're giving more than you should, then it's pretty fair

 

@IngieBee Well that's what I thought that it might be ok price, I know there's been great deals on old Delf out there but there seems to be less of the old tans around. I've basicly had this dolls for years now in my cabinet out of daylight and the face up has faded (MSC changed to greyish, as it is very old). I will need to check out any discoloration as she's had these clothes on for quite a long time. I might want to change the face up now that it is very faded after I've paid her. And like you, I want to give my sister a good deal and don't want her to feel bad, she has the box and papers in UK and she'll bring them for me during Christmas when she comes for a visit. Thanks for your input, it's appreciated.

Thanks! She came at a good time too. I had to pass up on one a few years back, but since I got my bonus coming later this month I decided to plunge off the Dave Ramsey wagon (sorry, Dave) and treat myself to her. I have that whole newbie feeling again of "Oh my gosh, I just spent this much on a doll, what have I done? But, she will totally be worth it, right?" feeling going on right now. Like shaking a bit thinking about it... that has not happened to me a looooong time.

Lol, then you would have to get them all like your Lishe obsession! I am slightly kicking myself for parting with my Dark Human Soo head, but I did that so I could get my Angel Elf Soo head...

Lovely! Though... honestly... I never met a DES I did not like.
And boy DESes are rare! I have only ever seen one!

I used to have a DES but I sold her over a decade ago. I wish I'd been able to keep her. So many dolls I had to sell back then I just haven't been able to get back because I can't find them anymore... :<

I still need to get a body for my AES. >_<;

 

Boy DESs are rare? I really had no idea! He told me he was a boy once I realized that he couldn't be Noriko.

Thank you, Ian-KunX! Even bodiless I'd love to see your AES. What is the difference between an AES and a DES? Facial expression? Ears? I'm curious!

It is the eyes. AES outer eye corners angle more downward as apposed to DES that angle upwards in a cat-eye like angle. Also the tops of AES eyes are more arched and open than DES.

 

I just got my Scarlet back from her gorgeous faceup! Apologies she's borrowing her brothers body and hair at the moment, hopefully ordering a Fdoll body for her in a couple of months.

She's a Dreaming Harang "Jack-O-Lantern" if i'm not mistaken i think is the name of them!



She'll have lovely lashes when i can find them!
Can't wait to take pics of her with her brother when i can get a body T-T
