I love your Lishe! Aah, so beautiful.

Some of you may remember me putting a Miyu on layaway, which I did and paid off and she's been home for a few weeks now! I absolutely love her. She desperately needs a new faceup more my "style", but I need to wait for her eyelashes to come in. Do I need to take any special precautions when removing her current faceup because she's older? I am a newbie and have only removed one other faceup, which was a 2015 Minifee so I'm not sure if I should go about it differently.

Yesterday I took a group shot of all of my SD resin who are together and home at the moment. Not all are Delf, but quite a few are Missing are my Dreaming Moon, Regular Moon, Dreaming El, and Vampire Elf El who are all either bodyless at the moment (from newcomers stealing) or they are at the spa! My Tanning El, Christmas Elf El, WS El, & two NS Els there are all Delf heads though some are on Feeple60 bodies, and the Mirwen in the front is on a Delf body.

Just posting a quick shot of my Moon, as I haven't taken many photos of him lately. ^^; He's trying out my white fox outfit, which was meant for another doll... but I was surprised by how well it suited him.

 

Woww, he is amazing! He reminds me of my favorite anime character Sesshomaru from Inuyasha!

 

Got to love that list of Els and Moons... Shame you don't have them all in the same shot! They all look fabulous.

And since there was a conversation about Lishes and how much people like them, here are mine (or at least, all the SDs):
It reminds me that I need to retake it, since two of them have been to the spa and returned with new faceups.

TeaPartyRevolution, that is AMAZING!! I am actively trying to find a Delf Lishe, seeing her in so many different forms is fantastic. I can't pick a favorite.

 

My one SD Delf is a 2006 Lishe Elf. She is my favorite of the CP/Delf sculpts. This photo is about 6 months old. She has new Mako eyes - I need to take more photos.

 

Thank you so much @Nebula and @keelerleah Love your Moon boy!!!! I've had a lot of trouble getting my Moon's to look/feel just right, but hopefully soon!

Here is my Lishe circa 2006. She is my favourite sculpt and the only one that I have never even thought to sell.

@Waynelandres, I know how you feel. I told my husband he either had to promise to never sell Kirah after I passed or put her in the coffin with me! LOL!

Thanks! AngelToast redid her faceup a few months ago. Her previous one was darker and was one of ATs first, actually.

Hehe! Kirah is the only one I'd seriously want kept (although my MNF ShuShu elf runs a close second). She was a grail - one of the first sculpts I fell in love with.

 

So I was changing a few dolls today, and I think Jaspar (simultaneously my newest El, as in he only arrived last year, and my... oldest... one as he's a Type 1 from 2005!) and Izzy (Chiwoo Elf on a Fantasy Doll body) bonded over their shared love of shorts, stockings, and black and grey stripes!

 

@talithax Ahh, my some of my fave boy sculpts together! They look great. Chiwoo is my favorite boy sculpt of all time, probably, next to the Migidoll Ell

I didn't read your caption properly at first, and I was wondering why all the sculpts look like Lishe (thought it was just a group photo with some delfs at first ><) But wow, they all look so different and beautiful!






And all the all lishes in the thread are really pretty too. It reminds me that the only thing I've done with my Lishe boy is take 1 photo of him 2 months ago...

Such an interesting combination of newest (to the family) /oldest (age wise) doll. They look great! And their style of dressing reminds me of what I had always wanted to dress my dolls in when I first started the hobby, until I realize my boys don't like shorts. Your boys look really good in their outfits though

 

Thank you! My aim is to make them all as different as I can, and I'm glad that I seemingly was able to do that! Your boy looks fabulous, though I wouldn't worry, that photo is so old two of my girls have new faceups and I really should take it again!

I think you did a great job at making them all different! It reminds me of one photo I saw a long time ago where someone hosted a EL meet, and all the ELs look so different. With so many new sculpts around, I think maybe having multiples of the same sculpt like you do isn't as common nowadays? So it's really nice to see photos where they are many variations of one mold. And haha, if you do take new photos, please share them! I'll love to see your Lishes

Thank you! Ah, which delfs do you want? Maybe it's a good thing to be dolly-overwhelmed so you can spend more energy on the ones you do have? (At least, that's what I tell myself, as I admire pretty photos of other people's dolls, haha.)

 

I do actually know a few people who have similar "collections" of the same sculpt, but there aren't that many who have as many as I do. I wanted to own all the Lishe releases, i.e. OE, Dreaming, Elf/Elf Vamp etc; I got lucky two years ago when a darling friend who has an El collection found the last Lishe, an unmodded Dreaming Elf 05 for me on Y!J. I just happen to also have a few extras... not that I'm all that disappointed in my extras. But that also means other than the Delf/F70/F60 size, I also have three MNF Lishes, 2 Chiclines and 2 LittleFee - with those sizes it's all a difference in skin tone. I'm keeping a lot of smaller WS Lishes aside in case CP ever does what he promised ages ago, to make all the sculpts in all the sizes!

As for multiple Delf collectors - there's @Ravenwolf with her Moon/El collection; @littlegreythings - another El collector, with a good dose of Moon as well; @LillyKitten has a bunch of Shiwoos, (there's another Shiwoo collector who did have the full size collection, but I have a mental block on the name); @Brightfires has a lot of all of the Delfs, including all the Breakaways. There are plenty more people I of, but can't remember the names with, like me, lots of Lishes.
I also have a few Breakaways, but they're all OT for this thread because they're all Fairyland releases, not Delfs, in smaller sizes I also have a few Els. (my entire collection is primarily CP/Fairyland... I can also count on one hand which of my dolls aren't!)

 

I... uhm... Yeah. I sort'a have a whole tribe of the older Delfs. It's a little silly how, even though I've added quite a few dolls from other companies over the years, the Delfs still outnumber everyone else. By kind-of a lot.

Nyala (Tan DES) and Karru (Tan Shiwoo) who, between the two of them, managed to drive my light meter absolutely bananas.

It's hard enough to photograph tan resin to begin with, but in hind-sight doing it in a shady spot on a ridiculously sunny day while one is in bright red satin and the other is in matte black? Madness. Pure, total, "call the guys in the white coats to haul me off to Arkham"-level madness.

 

Wow! That's the first tanned DES I've seen other than my own! lol Great pic!

 

I'm more and more interested in "other" companies... (probably because I don't particularly like the "new" releases from Fairyland) but I can still count on one hand how many of my collection aren't Fairyland/CP.

Aren't all collectors that Arkham level crazy?

It's kind of confirmed when a dolly friend looks sideways at you and asks "How many dolls do you have?" (knowing full well it's a lot) and you can't even remember the number... nor all the dolls to count, lol.

 

Nyala used to belong to Enaibi... She's a recent addition to my crew, replacing an older NS version that never quite looked right for the character she was meant to represent.

Most of the old Delfs don't seem to show up very often anymore. Once in awhile someone will post one in the Gallery or the Old Dolls thread, but they're definitely not as common as they used to be. It makes me wonder where all those dolls we used to see have gone. How many Els must there be sitting on shelves, or packed in their boxes or stashed at the back of someone's doll cabinet?

 

Even though I only have one older SD Delf, I'd have to agree that we tend to hord them so they don't find their way on the market very often. That's why I gave in and got a Luts Breeze for my boy....

 

As a person attempting to horde Delfs, I can confirm this.

 

And even if you DO cave in and get rid of one, you immediately go on the hunt for a replacement.

Speaking from experience! I recently sold one of my Dark Elf Soos, and am still regretting it, but it was necessary. And at least I know her new owner is also a Delf hoarder so she'll be well taken care of. She was my very first girl and my second doll. Her character is firmly established in my storyline. And as soon as It's financially feasible, I plan to hunt down a replacement for her. Hopefully another DES since she remains one of my favorite sculpts. Might go for normal skin over white this time, though, so if I only find just a head, it'll be a lot easier to find a matching body. Has anyone ever tried to find a matching body for a heavily-greened white skin Delf? I tried that with my Moon. Bought him one of those amazing F65 bodies from Fairyland. Yeah, that didn't work out so well. Poor Lore. Guess he'll be stuck on that F70 body for good now. I just wish I can find bigger hands for that body which are actually proportionate to it. They stuck Delf hands on it for some reason and they're just too small. It looks kind of funny. The feet I think are also Delf feet, so they aren't much bigger. At least they're covered, though. lol

I have been collecting since 2006 and it took until last year for the non-CP dolls to catch up in number. And I only just got my first non-CP SD sized doll last year (all of the non-CP dolls are tiny sized aside from an MSD I picked up this year).
Still as far as actual resin goes, the CPs have the bulk of the buffet that the dolls reside on.
I still want an IF, and a Tan DES. Someday if one comes along and the money tree happens to be in bloom, I will make it happen.

 

I really want an If too, an El elf, a Chiwoo, and maybe a Lishe. My AES wants an El elf for her boyfriend, and my Miyu wants a Chiwoo for a boyfriend! And If fits perfectly in my big-eyed girl brigade!

 

Oh, I would not turn down an AES at all!

 

I well and truly horde Delfs. (Just check out my profile if you're curious... )

A still nameless, original Elf Yder from the marketplace (that I just couldn't say no to...). His look, I suspect is very much a work in progress (I've only had him for a few hours), but here he is...

I love the combination of his fierce eyebrows and his pink bow and Disney sweater.

My Ari Wink came with the eyes that are in the AES promo picture on Luts. I took a picture yesterday that I thought I'd share! Please excuse my gross leg and foot.

 

All these pretty Lishes make me want to get one! I do have a voice in my head telling me to get more Delfs. Lol.

I just wanted to share a couple pictures of Melody Lane today. I've been having some thoughts about her recently, and I'm thinking I want to change up her look a bit. I think I want to get her a different wig, and start focusing more on making/buying her clothes that fit her (my) personality better. But here she is today, just lounging around.

I just wanted to post a quick photo I took of my latest delf, my new Dreaming Vampire Shiwoo.
His head was actually a gift from a great online friend of mine that had left the hobby. She sold her other dolls but still had the head and decided to mail it to me (what an amazing surprise it was!). It took me quite sometime to find him a body and the one I finally did get, was very yellow... but I got it for a good price so I was happy with it. Plus his outfit almost completely covers it, so you can't see the color difference that much. But he was a great summer project and I'm so happy with how he turned out! ^^

 

What an amazing gift! You did such a good job on him too, he's beautiful.

 

So I plopped this random, pretty scruffy wig that I found at the depths of my dolly box, on Melody late last night - and I think I accidentally stumbled upon her new look! I've been unhappy with her wigs recently, but I think I've found the answer. I think she needs to be a brunette with bangs. I ordered what looks like a promising one from Jpop dolls, and now we wait.

 

Both of my super old Delf girls are off for face ups right now, I can't wait to get them back! I went from having 6 complete SD girls in my cabinet to 2 in the last couple weeks! I ordered a body for my favorite floating head (not Delf) so I'm hoping to correct that at least a little this week!

Hello everyone!

I have a question about delf hybrid. Currently I have a delf head that fits on a type 2 body. I feel my character does not suit the body, so I want to switch over to a taller (65-70") body. For that, I know I have to use that donut luts sell. (and does anyone have any suggestion on some good body matches?)

However, now I want to use the Type 2 body I have for another head. I know I can remove the locking mechanism, but the neck hole itself is very large. Has anyone hybrid before? If so, how do you work with the large neck hole?
