I wish AL would release the chibis in other fantasy colors like pink, red or green (I have a blue Lilin and I love her).

 

She's very pretty, is she the "proper" faceplate? She has such a calm, pleasant look.

My Lilin is quite a bit snarkier, she's the default faceplate. She always looks like she's plotting something.

Just wondering, Unoa Chibis have had a tan release, right? I was thinking of eventually tracking some down to hybridize on a tan minifee moe body ^^

 

The most recent AL tan for the chibis is very different to the minifee tan, just to warn you. I can do a comparison photo when it’s light out if you want.

 

I know, no worries! I just like the base to be a darker color, in case there is any scratches since... well... maybe I can be just a little bit lazier before fixing it and having to do another resin match job... lol. I am hoping Fairyland tan won't be too hard to try to paint match, anyways! I am sure I will find out when I get my Unoa Lusis/Sist minifee assembled. ^^;

A friend showed me u-noa dolls and I fell in love with tan chibi Roron. I love how cute and sweet their faces are! Hopefully she will be here in a few weeks

This weekend I got lucky and found a Roron on Mandarake, and on the last day of our local BJD convention Resin Rose I found an Osomashi faceplate at a dealer’s table! I’m so excited to finally have a Chibi.

 

I hope I can one day get one of these dolls! I love them. Such a cute sculpt. They are very unique in my opinion

 

I need to do more with my girl. Dyed, and she's a Roron, I believe.

 

Oh my gosh, she's AMAZING! I was considering dyeing one to shell a character and now I'm super stoked!

aw thanks! I don't post enough these days- I blame the Historic Events and having a chronic illness during them. Getting my doll sewing room overhauled again which should help. I miss sewing for days on end.

 

Hi everyone! Just got my first Unoa on Saturday at a doll show, barely found out she's a Chibi, no idea what face plates she has, where she came from, or who the face up artist is. Don't use this picture to judge her skin tone, IRL she's more pink.

She's my first resin since 2010 so I don't even know if I have eye putty left.

I suppose my biggest questions are what face plates does she have and what options are out there for her?

Both faceplates look like a Roron to me.

 

The faceplate on is "Lilin default". The one that is off looks like "roron cool" , but might be "roron default"? I can't really tell with her faceup, "Roron cool" has a open parted mouth and "roron default" is a more distinct open mouth smile.

 

Still working on finding wigs for her, I want several auburn to strawberry blonde because she wants to be different book characters from Anne of Green Gables to Little Orphan Annie. Her basic theme however is looking to be paw prints. We're still looking for a plushie with two heads or something like cat-dog for obvious reasons.

Here's a better pic of the face plates, one is open 'Charlotte' (sometimes), one is closed "Anne", and I was told they're both supposed to be the default.

Her nickname is 'I can't take you anywhere' because she draws so much attention but I want her with me when we buy fabric to ensure it will work.

 

With everything going on I have no idea what my Chibi's skin tone it. Didn't get any factory papers with her. She's even but has freckled all over body blushing, the light in here is awful, so hopefully the color card helps. He base tone is warm and slightly creamy, in the daylight her lips are actually on the orange side.

She looks like "fresh skin" to me! Alchemic Labo had their "old normal" (now discontinued) skin, which was replaced by "fresh skin". Fresh skin is more pink based, while old normal had a yellow tone.

Does anyone have any Chibis with face-ups done by Araki? If so, how old is the doll?

 

Are you looking for the oldest painted chibis and how well the faceup has held up over the years?

I don't own her anymore but I had a white oni-skin Sist with a faceup by Araki from approximately 2003 a few years ago, for a little while, and I will say that her faceup had aged quite well.

 

I just wanted to see how his work looks more recently since I'm debating on whether or not to get a painted Araki Chibi when I order from the eshop.

 

My Lilin's face was done by Araki. I got her from Unoa Academy in 2016.

Does anyone have the inseam measurement for a Unoa Chibi? I can't find one anywhere.

They announced on Instagram that they're bringing back fairy skin and purple OR blue for chibi.

 

I might have to get a purple Chibi. I want her to be my cute little clown girl.
