This was a project that’s been on my table for a very, very long time. The idea is one of a girl that’s plagued by a parasite that’s keeping her alive. At one point the village people try to burn her down but she survives. ??? “Burned Tree” - Dollzone Renata, owned by slaughterspromenade (on Instagram) Sculpting of the headback by @ChocoDecadence Rest of the customization, photos and editing by me. The burn effect is wicked cool and really interesting it looks like it really got charred and still hot to touch wow!!! Also I not expect that head back I really did gasp when I saw that Spectacular She is like a really difficult secret boss in Dark Souls or Silent Hill
At first I thought to myself.. well this is a really cool doll.. as I scrolled down though.. I changed that thought to: this doll is absolutely AMAZING!
Oh wow, nice job on the paint and the mods! Definitely sad and creepy, and then there's her sooty toes looking so human.
Wow. Just wow. I love the level of detail! I don't really want to say "gorgeous" but can't really think of another word haha
The level of detail on this is amazing. That's one of the best gore mods and interesting ideas I've ever seen!
Wow I stared at the back of her head for half a minute out of horrified fascination! A work of art with a great back story!
Great idea, perfect makeup and details, all photos, I just have no words It's a huge, huge amount of time and your work, and it's really fantastic result
Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments, I am very proud of this work (and also happy it's finally done) Glad to see it doesn't just scare people away.
This is amazing. I feel so bad for the poor girl... and the incredible detailing on the ash had me convinced that she was actually burnt for a second.
Love the modded headcap, that is amazing!!! I really like the whole concept for this lovely girl... so many perfect little details! Fantastic job
Wow! I love all the detailing and the realistic textures, and how realistic everything looks. Incredible job.
OMG the details! How did you just create those cracks that look like ashes from burning? And the dress! You really burnt the dress for this effect?
Thank you so much everyone Those cracks I did with "Ranger Distress Crackle Paint", the clear type to be exactly. I added some black acrylic paint to it and then very generously applied it onto the, formerly airbrushed, parts. While drying the stuff cracks open heavily and you get this rough surface. Afterwards I dry brushed it with white acrylic paint, blushed with pastels the surrounding areas, added the painted on details. The stuff is more or less sticking pretty well to the doll, but you can lose little flakes here and there when brushing against it. Reason I airbrushed the area before, the painting layer underneath doesn't fall off so it just looks like coal everywhere the white flakes peeled off. And correct, the dress was carefully burned above our bathtub @Roterwolkenvogel was so kind to gift it for this cause. Also for the curious, I documented the whole process (incl. testing spoons for the crackle effect) on my Instagram: Ara (@ara_dolls) • Instagram photos and videos Just scroll down the feed a litte until you come to a bunch of black/gray spoons, from then on I worked on the Renata.
Very impressive doll and the whole story! This makeup is so realistic, that you can feel these ashes and mood just by looking at them! Amazing!!!
Thank you so much for all the nice compliments and comments! I regularly go back to these pictures and feel relief every time. God, she was so hard but I love the result still
