Many thanks for opening the thread and being so informative! I was eyeing on the female body, it's really cute and well-proportioned.

 

I have the boy body ordered with a head I bought from Mydollection (who btw also sells them), I'll get it sometime later this year or early next year but I'll post pictures once it's here don't order from them, they're turned into a scammer and I'm likely never seeing my order from them. See thread here for more info and safe yourself from any disappoinment and money loss.

 

I might get one of there mermaid type ones from Jane's Doll Land. They are a good price for resin.

Does someone already know what their average waiting times are?
I plan to order through a proxy service directly from their Taobao store.

 

I just recently ordered the boy Ivar from this company through "Alice's Collections", when I asked them if they would help me with his order. I have not ordered anywhere else yet, so I was very happy that they helped me with that.
I will be happy to write here the approximate time of ordering so that others can know how long it takes for the doll from this company to arrive. That is, when it arrives at my house, of course. ^^

 

I would love to see a 1/4 version of Akane from Bonbon Galaxy
She is so cute, I was tempted to get her, but I always have trouble bonding with my littles for some reason

Akane looks beautiful, but I'm also not very used to 1/6 size with BJD. That's why the two I had at home went into the world and they are much better. They were with me for a long time and I couldn't figure out a Face up for them, but the new owners got them right away and they are magical, but they were other companies.
Akane in 1/4 would be so awesome.

Otherwise, thank you. I immediately fell in love with Ivar when I saw him and immediately thought about how to actually get him, but I had never ordered through another dealer and was afraid of making a mistake. However, as soon as I get it, I will certainly make a profile for him here and also give information on how long it took to deliver it.

 

Thanks for making this topic. I just saw these dolls on Alice's Collections and absolutely love all their 45cm sculpts. I decided to buy Ivar while he was on sale. I hope the wait isn't long.

 

I've also gotten Ivar! I really his eyes, and I slightly hope the wig comes with the clothes.

From what I understand, it should be without a wig. Which I'm really sorry about.

 

Has anyone gotten their orders from this company and how long did it take overall? I'm unsure if the issue is with Bonbon Galaxy or Mydollection but I'm still waiting for the body and starting to get a little bit frustrated with it it should have been ready around November (so I was initially told) but was postponed again and again and last update was that it should be ready for shipping after Chinese New Year but you probably guessed it already, it's still not ready. I know these things take their time since everything is made to order but it has taken much longer than originally estimated and I'm starting to get a bit sour about the whole thing.

 

The problem is probably with MyDollection... They seem to be getting a reputation for being quite unreliable unfortunately. You can read more about problems people have been having with them on this thread.

I ordered the off-topic Catfish (fullset with body painting and faceup) and Orca (blank) through Legenddoll and got them in 4 months.

 

Bonbon Galaxy has a new body: weibo
It's on sale on Legenddoll and taobao so far, comes with some event extras and a reduced price. It's a little different from the normal girl body but there is no new head yet - I wonder what their plans are for it?

 

@aestellica - I think they forgot as there seems to be at least a little mobility there judging by the sales listing photos? I wonder if the ankles have the neat s-hook system the hands have, though.

 

The new body looks pretty nice, especially for the price point! I might try getting it in the white color and hope it works okay with luts white

 

BonBon says their white is supposed to be close to Mia white so I think you're right.

Edit to avoid double posting: I asked Alice's if they'll also take part of the event as they deal for them but was told "they'll put the new body up in a few days when BonBon releases it" so I guess not? In case it's useful information for anyone.

 

Okay, thank you for the info I'll probably still get it since I don't mind color differences too much and I have been considering getting some heads in mia white instead of luts white anyways!

Oh good to know Alice won't be in the event, I was holding off on buying to see how their deal would compare to newclover, janesdollland and legenddoll since the prices are slightly different but I'll probably either buy directly from taobao or do newclover.

 

Today, after four and a half months, my ordered Ivar finally arrived.
So it's a shame that when I took the full outfit, there are no shoes to go with it and there's no wig to go with it either, but I reckon it's only for the ears and tail, which I didn't take.
Nevertheless, I have to say that he is very beautiful, even if the wig I ordered for him has not arrived yet. He'll wait a little while longer. ^^

 

I went to check today and Alice has actually put the body up for the event price! I guess there was some language misunderstanding in our email exchange

 

Wish I saw the acbjd listing before I placed my order on taobao because the acbjd price includes shipping but oh well

 

Hey all! I'm considering picking up the event body for my DiM Larina head in NS. Anybody know what Bonbon's NS or mia pink looks like?

 

If you look in brigadoon forum there's a thread for Bon Bon Galaxy off-topic dolls - I got one today and the default colour is 'white' but it's a very creamy, mellow white and almost matches my Angel of Dream 'pink', which is super-pale. Beautifully made doll though I am really impressed and the packaging was lovely too.

 

I really like BonBon's new mature 1/4 boy body (neck is 7.1cm) so that sent me searching for 'mia pink' @Panbow - Found this link which has pics Mia's Baby Doll which I'm just assuming is what it refers to?

Can't think of a head I'd put with it though - most 1/4 sculpts are quite juvenile looking so look a bit weird with a mature muscle-man body?

 

Bonbon posted a video of the boy body on their weibo and in the first few seconds it shows some different heads on the body so you can get a bit of an idea of how certain heads might look! You can see here

Alice is really flexible with this, if you know the colour exists they can get it as well. I do wish they just added them into their site, too, though, but I think it has to do with different partnership agreements with different companies maybe? Legenddoll tends to display the whole selection usually.

 

Does anyone know which skintone might be closest to the Minifee? It looks like the neck width would be pretty close, from what I can tell?

 

I just received my lychee body - it looks and poses quite well but my god it was full of resin dust inside? I can understand some QC to be less up to par at the price they offered it for but uhhh that's a bit concerning. Has anyone else received theirs and had similar issues?

 

I’m also wondering this too, looking for a body for my mnf head in BW.

I will say I have a ACatBo Hakimi head in luts white that is close enough to BW for a hybrid, but I’m not sure if BonBon Galaxy offers lute white or how close mia white is to luts white.

 

Hmmm, for some reason the link isn’t working for me. But I ordered their new Lychee Body 2.0 in Candy White and it looks similar to Luts White, so hopefully it’ll work for my BW minifee. I’ll post pics of the hybrid whenever the body comes in. It should be here around April.

 

I’m very tempted to get the Lime body that’s on sale for my Goki Doll head.
How long are the wait times overall?

 

My Bonbon body purchased though Legend took about 5 months.

 

I ordered two Fresh-Coconut bodies in Mia pink from Alice's Collections earlier. Looking forward to getting them.... Probably next year I suppose.

 

I'm so interested in getting the Bonbon galaxy 2.0 body but want to find some good resin comparisons first... the links previously listed in this thread don't work for me (either go to generic videos on Taobao or the link is broken)

The fist hands are myou normal pink (2023), open hand Souldoll NS (2024), neck protector Huajing normal (2024), the feet are BonbonGalaxy NS (2024)
I'd say it's also close-ish to Mia pink but I think Bonbon also does Mia Pink and Mia White that give you lots of options to mix and match with.

 

I wonder how similar BBG is to Fairlyand normal. I've heard that Myou NP and Huajing normal are pretty close to FL normal too.

 

I'll try to remember to post them tomorrow, but their Candy White is very close to Fairyland BW. I currently have my FL Woosoo Vampire head on a Bonbon Lychee 2.0 body and it's by far my favorite hybrid.

 

Myou normal pink is super light, lighter than Huajing normal. They are maybe close to Mia Pink buy I think Fairyland is darker and more yellow

I'm considering getting the SOOM rose white Bonbon Galaxy Lychee 2.0 body from Jane's Dolland bc it's such a great price ($70 cheaper than Alice's Collections, which offers the 1.0 body in Normal and White) and making a head for it myself because I can't seem to find any threads newer than 2012 (that all have broken pictures) discussing SOOM rose white. Also I haven't found any heads I'm particular to other than discontinued SOOM 65 cm heads which would absolutely not fit this body. There seems to be a lack or I guess I am not finding many 40cm dolls with more realistic/mature facial proportions.

You can't really tell from the photos sorry, they're not the best, but the body is just a tiny bit more pink than the head. I have my woosoo on the body now and with her faceup, because it's more pinkish, you literally can't tell at all. I made the neck connector with my resin 3D printer and it's honestly my most favorite hybrid. I'd hybrid on my minifee's on a bonbon if they made more colors lol.

I peeked at your doll profiles and Striga looks great!! The resin match IS very good. I'm also interested in the bonbon galaxy body bc I dislike how the hip joints on Minifee slide out of place. So I'm definitely on the Minifee hybrid train with you!!

I know right!! And the proportions are so much better than mnf in my opinion. I feel like the head looks much more balanced with a bigger body.

It's also much easier to find clothes for this body too as opposed to mnfs. It's still a tad bit small but can still fit msd sized clothes.

 

That's EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I like the more adult proportions as opposed to other 1/4 bodies which look more like kids, and I've wanted something a bit bigger to balance the large size of minifee heads. I also quickly figured out how many 1/4th clothes are far too large for minifee bodies which made me so sad! Also, the price is so much better.

 

That's why I ended up getting this body, too. I absolutely looove fairyland sculpts but I can't stand how small minifee bodies are.

And honestly I also think Coralreef Doll bodies would be a good options, too. I don't have one in white, but the hands my Woosoo (Striga) is wearing right now on the BBG body are Coralreef in Luts White and they are also super similar in color. I would say even closer in color to Fairyland BW.

But BBG is definitely a good option if you're on a budget. I bought this body directly off of taobao before the tariffs and it was only $50 for its initial release.

 

Those darn tariffs. That's an incredible price. How does everyone navigate taobao?? I have not learned how to read even simplified Chinese and my browser has trouble translating buttons and pop up windows.(if the answer is Get Good I understand and will humbly accept the challenge)

My ultimate goal is to use a BBG body to make an android character. I either want to make a head for the body or find a realistic male head sculpt for it and do my own face-up. I really like RingDoll and Soom head sculpts, I think they have lovely realistic proportions for the guys that could easily be painted to suit a girl character. But, again, finding a realistic sculpt in 1/4 size is a challenge.

Coral reef dolls are so pretty! I hadn't seen them before. Their costumes and photography are amazing.

 

You can use a proxy service, like Superbuy. I don't even open Taobao and gotten by fine just using the proxy's search function, although there's some trial and error in finding the right keywords.

 

Ye you can use a proxy but before the tariffs I just used the app. I just screenshot the page and put it in the google translate app. You can only pay for shipping through the app, so thats why I used it. I don’t read any chinese, and I can only read very basic Kanji, and the app is still fairly easy to use. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but you get the hang of it after a while.

But all that said, they’re not shipping to the US right now, so it’s kinda pointless to use atm.
