Thank you so much! I absolutely love the Mi sculpt.
Her skirt and dress were made by anekochansdollies (I believe they go by anekochan here?). I quickly made both of her tops and hair accessories. Oh! I also got her necklaces from anekochan too.

I know! The skirt she is wearing was for my MSD girl, but it fits her perfectly.

Speaking of spam, would anyone have any Su spam? I'm currently awaiting my girl, but I've seen 0 owner pics.

Hi, i just purchased a Mirodoll in burnt sugar. Do you know if resinsoul can do a custom color for their jointed hands? And if they can do so, can they do it via photo or does they need a piece for reference?

 

It'll cost you a little bit, but I think generally Resinsoul will do custom colors for most everything they cast out of resin, which would include the jointed hands. For the best result. You might want to send out a small piece, like a foot or something to make sure the match is spot-on. You can always email Sun about it, he could probably tell you more than I can ^u^

@birchwood I went back and forth for a while, but I'm pretty sure I'll be doing gray. Sounds like a plan, I'm surprised I haven't seen any/many owner pics of Su yet!

Same! I've only see the one comparison picture and the company photos. But ahhh!!! Gray sounds awesome.

 

What size eye do you think Su takes? I'm not too familiar with the eye sizes for non-anime BJD.

 

I would really love to see Su owner pics O.o Her ears are beautiful! I was also curious to know if people struggle with putting wigs on her because of her ears? I have a Ju and Jun, and I cannot keep a wig on them because they fall off :/ I had to make them fur wigs because no matter if I have a wig cap or not, they slide off :/ I am planning on getting Su but do not want to have that same issue

 

My best guess is 14mm? The sculpt is so similar to Mi that I figured they take the same size.

I have that issue with my Mi right now. :/ I'll probably end up using the Velcro trick.

hellsingcountess: Apollo and Gang are both shown on the Bobobie web site. But only Gang is on the Resinsoul website. The picture of the Gang body looks identical on both sites. You can order the Apollo head on the gang body from Bobobie.

If you prefer to order the Gang body from Resinsoul, you could order just the Apollo head from Bobobie and just Gang's body from Resinsoul. You can probably order them separately through Denver Doll, but they won't put the Bobobie head on the Resinsoul body for you.

 

@hellsingcountess The wig I use for my Mi is an 8/9 wig. 7/8 is a bit too small, and 8/9 is a hair too big. Honestly, I think it would be fine if i used a wig cap, but I'm stubborn.

 

I dont blame you xD I hate wig caps to because sometimes it makes their head look fat xD

 

@birchwood Su does come on the 60cm girl body, right? I looked at the measurements of Su's body vs the Mi body, and it looks exactly the same.

She does come on a 60cm girl body, but I believe it may have been updated since Mi came out. The company photos for Su show a swivel joint on the thigh, while my Mi doesn't have one. Honestly, the face sculpts for the two are very similar (with the exception of the ears of course). I'll post more definite information when my girl arrives (If she's on schedule, she should arrive right before my birthday in March ).

Can anyone with a Su confirm?

 

I have a Bobobie Weylin I had bought second hand. He doesn't really sit or pose well. I can live with that However what is frustrating for me is that his head always wants to look downward at an angle. Would trying to restring him help this issue? I was also thinking of buying a resinsoul body for the head instead of continuing to use the one that he came with. I haven't owned a resinsoul body yet but is there much a difference in the joints? Sorry for all the questions but thank you.

 

Instead of restringing him, you can try some hot glue sueding on the neck. I've done this with a few of my dolls who have snappy heads. Remove the head and put a ring of hot glue on the top of the neck, then smooth it out. It will give enough friction that the head should then stay where you put it.

Failing that, try a silicone kip. Most of my dolls have sueded neck holes and the kip worked with my most stubborn head jerker. I sueded the heck out of my Sophia body and restrung her with thicker elastic - she poses much better now - my Gang body is next.

 

Hello! I am not sure if this has been asked, but I wish to order a Chun, but I am concerned I wont be able to find clothes that fit easily. Can she fit regular SD clothes? Also does anyone have her head on a 60cm body?

My rs Yi in dark grey should arrive tommorrow or monday. I'm nervous, he is my first sd sized and so far only male doll I'm tempted to get Su in blue skin as well. She might be the next doll I'm gonna order.

A quick update as I'm so excited to show him. He arrived today (with my other order Hujoo Freya). I was nervous about his skin color being too dark for me but it's just perfect Sorry for the messy table in the pic D: Will give his head to an artist friend of mine soon and get him done

I'm so happy to be part of the little community who owns Resinsouls :3 They're quite special, and even though I just have one, he's awesome

This is my Resinsoul Gang, Zachari Danieu, on the bigger boy body, modded to be 69 cm instead of 70, and slightly modded nose and mobility in the back.. Bought him second hand, so I don't really have any waiting stories or such, but maybe one day I'll orderone directly from the company :3





I need to get some proper pictures of him though, when the weather allows for it.

 

Awesome! I love his wig and his whole aesthetic. How does the gang head fit on the body, did you need to mod it at all?

 

Thank you! I did the wig myself, along with faceup and tattoos and such.
As said, the neck is modded, but not by me ^^ His previous owner did it, but I think it fits just fine. If I remember correctly, the neck was only modded to be a bit shorter, because it looked way too long otherwise.

 

Another update as I got my head back from the artist today. Otherwise he is still a work in progress when it comes to his wig, clothes and accessories ^^

What's your experience been like finding clothes for him? Or do you make your own?
I'm planning on getting an Ai on the Gang body, to be a twin for my girl =D

 

Thank you! He's a slender doll, but tall, a lot of leg. Almost like a flag pole. So you have to go around SD17 or 70 cm sized clothes, and watch with the width of clothes, since he's so slender. Not much will fit snuggly on his body. I'll probably be making a lot of his clothes on my own, since I want a specific style and color scheme for him. BUT! Do mind that this is a Gang head on the bigger boy body, which is 70 cm, so it's not the Gang-body.

Does anyone know of the male jointed hands fit Yi and how they look? Sun said they're too small but I'm not sure how small that means.
Also, does dikadoll jointed hands match the NS? I know they match the WS.

 

I can't give exact details on their size difference compared to the yi body, but Resinsoul's jointed hands are pretty small for the 70cm boy. I've got a couple pairs, and they will more likely fit a 60-65cm girl, or maybe a 60cm boy, from other companies than any of the various 65cm+ boys out there that I know of. Also, I can't vouch for dikadoll's ns, but I do know loongsoul's ns-p is a decently close match to Resinsoul's ns. Hope that's in some way helpful .

I'm not 100% certain they'll fit, but I know legend doll, doll leaves and impldoll all make decent jointed hands that might work. Impldoll has a color matching service. Anyone else have any input?

 

Afraid I can't be of any help with the hands search (my only current RS is below but that may well change) but I have got hands that are technically a tad small on the wrists of one of my dolls, and honestly, so long as the wrist joint on the hands is larger than the internal channel in the arms I've personally found that it's a matter of taste usually.

Anyhow, here's my RS girl Nyta (a Lian), she's a spacefaring smuggler, bounty hunter and general pirate.
