Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any problems with the legs on the dai body? Mine has this problem where the knee sits almost over the thigh part. It won't sit properly in the socket, So she can't really stand. Any ideas?

About how much is shipping for one 70cm doll? I've never ordered a bjd like this before, about how much more do I need to save to cover it? Thanks ;v;

 

Depends on where it is shipped from (another country?), which shipping method is used and how heavy and big the parcel is. For me that would be anything between 9 euro (local registered & insured) and 60 dollars (from China, but then in Europe, you have still have to expect 1/3 of the total for customs costs on top of what you have paid already) for a 70cm resinsoul doll.

In your case I would suggest ordering from a dealer in your own country and you can see their shipping costs when you order it.

Hello! I'm looking to make one of my characters into a doll, and Resinsoul Long seems to be perfect! The only thing is, my boyfriend already ordered the eyes in the size of the doll I already have, which is a MSD. So, does anyone know what size eyes a Resinsoul Long doll will take? I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer. ;;

 

I have 16mm in mine but 18mm will work too if you want a bigger iris. I like the 16mm better.

I hope it's ok to pop in here with a silly question, does anyone have a 60cm boy and a 68cm girl body that I could see side by side? Ideally I'm looking to put the boy torso on the girls legs but I am really not sure if that would look right and I am curious how tall he would end up being. I really appreciate any help =) thanks in advance

Even though the question has already been answered, I have put 16mm eyes in my Long. I just recently put a new pair of eyes in. They're 16mm like his other pair, but the iris is bigger. Size varies from company to company, so it might be good to get size comparisons before going a size up.

Hi all,

I hate to delurk to ask a question that likely has been asked at least once but I'm having a very hard time finding pants / skirts that fit on Rain's (RS Mi) default body. I'm pretty sure she's a Sophia body and I just got her last September. I've tried ordering from AC and Dollmore and even from the marketplace but although tops tend to fit fairly easily, the standard waist and hip seem to be so much larger than what she has. I'm still waiting on my Dollmore order but I've made sure to order elasticated leggings but her body seems to be in between the standard MSD and the standard SD measurements. I've been trying to search through the threads for info on clothing for her but haven't had much luck.

Please link me to any discussions, sites, etc., that can help me get pants and underwear that actually fit on her - especially since she'll likely wear more pants than skirts.

Hi, newbie here, so sorry if this question has already been asked somewhere else.
I really like the Apollo's head sculpt, but I wanted to order him on the Resinsoul body used for Gang. I really don't have a clue on how to go about doing this, as Apollo isn't even listed on the website. Should I email Bobobie? Or should I try to go through DDE or another dealer to see if they can handle it for me?

You will have to email BoBobie separately to get a head and then get a body from RS. I contacted RS a few weeks ago to ask about the Apollo and they said they don't sell BBB sculpts.

 

Go through denverdoll unless your closer to bobobie as bobobie well.. Has very bad service and on more than one instance has dolls from them come broken due to lack of packing

 

Bobobie has HORRIBLE customer service (as in they generally don't seem to respond to email from people who want to give them money, to say nothing of the email they ignore from the people who have had problems with their orders)

 

Yeaaah Bobobie customer service is horrible even when you want to BUY from them. It took them six weeks to get back to me about an Ariel head.

 

they've never replied to my emails, so I decided I didn't NEED their sculpts that badly and would give my money to rs instead.
I think it's frustratingly easier to just buy the bbb dolls secondhand, which is nuts.
like.. why don't you want our money!?

Does BBB have the apollo head available on their page to purchase on his own? if so, i'd go the "buy head from them, buy body from RS" route personally. they use the same colours so they should mostly match (just the differences you see between different resin batches) without trying to find BBBs customer service person and getting a reply from them gah.

 

I have the same body and yeah, she is a bit tricky to clothe. But most of my dolls are thinner than average it seems so I'm used to pinning them in at the back. As for what fits, Alice's basic flared jeans fit nicely but a bit low on the hips but the hotpants (the ones with gemstones on) are way too big (they actually fit my boys better). I have a Sunny's World ‎top that's quite long line and a Nine9 Style skirt which fits okay, but again, quite low. Sadly the things that fit her best are a handmade green velvet dress I got second hand so I don't know who made it, and a really narrow vest top Impldoll sent me which I guess was a prototype and never would fit my Impldoll SDs!

 

Thanks for sharing! I'm practicing making pants and bloomers but I do want her to have something better than my newb skills. I have her in an AC SD girl pants that fit well if you have it yanked down to her hips and show off half her buttcrack LOL. I was considering pinning it at the back but wasn't sure if that was something most people do.

I'm also considering getting her a new body but that will likely take months . But in terms of looks, I like the overall look of her body so I'm not sure I really want to hybrid.

 

Wow, I've never dealt with BBB but that sounds so different from RS. I have had such good interactions with RS' admin that I pretty much want to throw my money to them and get more dolls, even if I do find their dolls difficult to pose and dress.

 

I think whichever body you have finding clothes will always be tricky but on the plus side it is easier to adjust clothes that are too big than clothes that are too small. I have a couple of Dollheart items - one of which is actually for 70cm boys - where I have added lacing to the back like a corset so they can be pulled tighter. My Gang-bodied boy often has a safety pin to pull the waist of his trousers tighter or sometimes I tie the two side belt loops together at the back with a bit of cord. Looks okay from the front.

I do really love the Sophia body even though she does make my AoD bodied girl look chunky! She is very slender and graceful. I may curse her arched back when I eventually attempt to make a top for her but I'm sure it will be worth the effort.

 

Hey, has anyone noticed the similarities between Ai, Gang and Mu? Gang and Mu didn't surprise me, since Resinsoul have a lot of human versions to fantasy sculpts, but Ai definitely did. Does anyone have Ai and Gang/Mu that you can take photos of next to eachother? I'm sure it's just a strong resemblance, but I'm curious~

 

I'm saving for my very first Resinsoul doll (Mi) and I was wondering if there's anything I need to know about them or what I should prepare for when my doll arrives? I'm familiar with ball jointed dolls in general, but I've never really had hands on experience with a Resinsoul doll so I don't know what to expect. Do they generally come stung loose or tight?

Unfortunately I don't know about how they arrive new :c my Bao was very loose but he was secondhand. I think it varies.

I'm back now cuz I wanted to announce I'm getting a Gang on friday!! xD My friend was deciding if she wanted to sell him for a good week or so, and she decided she will, so yes! ^ u ^

 

They come with crap elastic, so you'll probably want to restring with something better when they arrive (I think I have at least 5mm in my big girl...)

 

You may also want to consider requesting if it's possible to pack hands separately. They make gorgeous hands but the long fingers make them prone to breaking during shipment. And take photos of your box opening just in case there is damage.

Other than that, I love my Mi and enjoy her company faceupped but I'm still getting used to posing the body. I'm considering sending her for restringing and sueding.

 

Does anyone have comparison photos of Feng and Long next to each other? I'm trying to decide which one I want more lol.

Lady_addiction- Thank you for the advice. I know I've seen several box openings where the hands were broken. I plan on replacing hers with jointed hands, but still I will see if I can request better padding for her hands.

 

You could try emailing Resinsoul directly and ask for comparison side by side photos of Long and Feng. They're more than accomodating and will do it if asked. I don't have a Feng for a comparison myself, but I wish you the best of luck

Are Feng and Long not the same sculpt but Long has elf ears??

 

From what I've seen/heard, they're slightly different sculpts. Supposedly, Long is more angular, and Feng is more rounded.

 

Weird, it made more sense to me for them to be the same because Resinsoul does that a lot. Do you know about any of the other elf/human matching dolls?

 

I'm not entirely sure myself, but it seems like the elf/human matches should be slightly different in some way seeing as you can order the elves with human ears and vice versa by special request.

 

I honestly thought that if you did that you'd just get, for example, a Ya instead of a Mei. But I have seen Gang with elf ears that wasn't Mu who looks really similar. I was almost concerned Ai was also Gang since she looks like a strong relative xD

 

Well I made my order to Resinsoul today, my first time ordering from them. So will I receive an email from them or do I just wait now? I made sure to registered an account on their site so I can check my order, but other than that I have no idea what I'm doing. lol ^_^;

 

From what I've heard, I think you recieve a confirmation email @TokyoLynn . Other than that, you don't hear much until your doll is shipped, and some people don't even get that notification.

@TokyoLynn --Just be aware that there is a national Chinese holiday while your doll is in production, so be prepared for possible delays on shipment.

Also, I got a reply back from Sun, but no pictures Ah, well. Sun's been very accommodating, though, I gotta hand it to them. Here's what I got back:

Even Gang looks a little anime-leaning on his body imo, in that it's quite big in proportion. I'm certainly not saying it wouldn't work but I'm fairly certain the proportions would be sorta odd. I feel like I've seen it tried somewhere, Idk though
