    2. 1) I wash my hands more... such as when they could be no way they're dirty to keep my doll(s) clean (of course I wash my hands when appropriate too!)

1.5) my friends have to have clean hands before hold my doll(s)

      2) I clean surfaces more ... (to again keep my dolls clean)

      3) I have a daily routine with my doll(s), they wake up with me and then they change out of their sleeping clothes to everyday clothes, they also sleep with me. (he has a bed on my bed in a safe corner where I can't roll on him)

      Yup i'm a freak.

    3. All of my dolls have personalities, and my OT girl is resentful of my resin girl, Nissh, because before Nissh was around it was all about my OT girl. So I take special care of my OT doll so she doesn't do anything mean to Nissh.

(Yes, I believe one doll can do mean things to another. lol)

    4. (Whew, sorry guys, this ended up being a long one.)

I have spent more money on dolls in the past year than I have on anything else in my life, aside from college I suppose....

I used to be very conservative with my money and didn't really worry about buying clothes or paying bills. Now that I've started buying dolls (and everything else that comes with them, which is probably the worst of it) I've started thinking the unthinkable: why buy a car when I could get another doll? Why would I want new clothes when I could buy my doll new clothes? Should I commit to getting a pet, or would that mean I couldn't buy any doll things anymore?

I have lots of money, but how much of it is from my student loans? I'm almost wishing I hadn't applied for loans and just spent what I had on tuition last year. Maybe I wouldn't have started spending so much on dolls if that had been the case.

I thought I wouldn't be one of those people who thinks to themselves, "It's really not that bad, there are people who spend way more than I do." Given, there are people who spend more than I do. One of my dolls was a gift, one was free, and the other two I purchased myself, but the amount I've spent in total is still so much money. I'm moving in with my boyfriend and graduating college but moving on to university, and I keep thinking... am I going to have a real problem when limited dolls that I want continue to be released and I start sacrificing basic things for them?

A good friend of mine who worked with me at the humane society is giving away her cat, and now that I'm a vet tech, moving out of the house... there shouldn't be any reason that I can't take him. I want a pet. But in hindsight I realize one of my first thoughts was, "I'm going to have to spend all this money on school and life and still want some for dolls, maybe I shouldn't get a cat." That scares me.... I would never have put an inanimate object before this cat, whom I know and love, just a couple of years ago. Now, I guess I would?

I suppose I have nothing to worry about as long as I continue to question myself and confess these sorts of thoughts.... I have been responsible with my money and all I need to do is continue to be responsible. It's just a little disturbing to think that a year ago I said I wasn't "one of those people", and now I'll spend $140 on an outfit for my doll when I'd never be caught dead spending that much on my own clothes. x_x

    8. I have spent a lot of money on my dolls but I hesitate to spend even $20 on myself!

There is a pair of shoes I liked on ebay for $50 but I never purchased them because I thought they were expensive, however, I just spent $600 on two Azone dolls that were originally $160 but I fell in love with their faces and they were limited so I had to have them ^^;; I bought them without a second thought.

The point is, I feel guilty when I spend money on things for myself, even food but it is normal to spend $500+ on dolls =_=

Another confession, there is one limited doll that I really want and costs $1800, and I have to pay $2000 for College...I'm trying to control myself and leave that money for College!!*_*

    9. So, I'm adding to my original list. I have an eye collection. With every doll I've bought I've gotten at least 2 pair of eyes. Plus the ones I bought all on my own. I'm sitting on 15 pair of eyes between 3 dolls and 2 floating heads.

With 15 pair of eyes you'd think I'd be happy with at least one pair of eyes for my Iraki. NOPE. I need more eyes.

    10. I'll get in on this....
I often break things down as such-"I spent $57. 60 today on provisions for the house, another $57 and change on XYZ that I needed...that's $114 or so...the equivalent of a down payment for a doll.."
And that goes for everything...grocery shopping, bill paying, clothing, buying my coffee...I break it down into "Doll Payments" >.<

    13. I am reconfiguring my life (which is astoundingly complicated at times) to find more time for dolls and doll people. I have been blown away by the kindness I have been shown by BJD people.
Oh and I discuss my dolls like humans. "Biddy is wondering why she is not out of her case from ACEN".
I worry they need a mother.

    17. Another confession...

Since it's summer and I work full time and go to College which means that I'm almost never at home except at nights. ~.~ I keep the AC on 24/7 in my room so that my dolls won't suffer the hot weather!! (I heard heat can yellow dolls)

    18. I just can't motivate myself to go out and photograph my dolls. It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I can never justify leaving the house to do it. Plus, my photography skills are passable - barely. Then there's the fact that they haven't changed looks/wigs/eyes in 1-2yrs...

    20. I spend triple as much on dolls than on food every month. At least. That pretty normal to me. My new boyfriend asked me the other day how much I spend on my hobbies and he thought that was way too much even though he is very supportive. For a very short moment I wondered if something is wrong with me^^

    24. I make silly mistakes at work and forget things because in my head I'm immersed in dolly plans (although, to be fair, if I think about actually being at work I feel as if I'll breakdown)

I ALSO have committed all of my Xmas money, plus my birthday money, plus a portion of each pay until just after Xmas to getting my next doll since I won't be able to get the sculpt anymore after the 31st.

I have an extensive database of all of my doll stuff.

I actually had to completely redo my wishlist since my old one got too ridiculous.

My Dad said he'd be annoyed if I bought more dolls in NZ, but I'm doing it anyway (I'm paying to get them here and then to take them with me in 3 years anyways)

I refuse to look at shops in town for fear of wasting possible doll money, but I browse doll shops online all the time xD

I've decided years in advance that my first house will have to have an extra room for my dolls and doll stuff.

I've planned doll photoshoots before my first doll (or the doll relevant to that shoot) arrives.

-derp- now I sound like the crazy doll lady (although people think that anyhow).

    26. I'm more concerned about buying things for Nadeko than I am about getting my friends and family Christmas presents
I'm making a list of clothes that I want to get my girl next year, each thing on the list is more than 10x what I would ever consider spending on clothes for myself
I worry more about buying her shoes even though mine are falling apart
I'm trying to be more social (does not like talking to people in real life) just so that she'll have some dolly friends
I'm more concerned about making sure that Nadeko looks good than I am about how I look :sweat
someone gave me money recently and my reply was "thank you, Nadeko will really appreciate it, this is going to her shoe fund"

    30. My characters have always been 'real' to me (as in, I think of them as living in some weird alternate universe or some fuzzy thing like that) - but now I'm shelling them into dolls it's much more concrete (since oops! there they ARE!). So I get certain characters (Sebastian) basically refusing to wear stuff I meant for them, & others (Jason) grabbing things bought for another - it's a morphing of the creative writing process I find very fascinating :D

I have typical dolls. I know and I dont care.

    39. I love this thread.

I have doll stuff shipped to my work so my Dad won't know how many doll-related packages I'm getting. Now my co-workers bug me about how many packages I'm getting!

Even if I have a doll on the way, I'm always planning which doll I'm going to get next.

I keep my dolls naked in a drawer because I'm deathly afraid they might get a stain from a wig or clothes. I tried putting special underhose on them before dressing them, but then the clothes don't fit right. I have kimonos for them but I'm so paranoid about stains, they have to sleep nude!
