Bimong Waiting Room

Last batch of 1/4 dolls to ship.
no 1/3 dolls yet according to his reply in the comments.

 

Today is 1 year and 5 months since I placed my deposit for Narin68 (I paid the balance a month later). I want my doll ever the more.
I've been screenshotting and documenting this entire ordeal - amongst other things, this waiting room has been an interesting record of how my perception of this doll-buying experience has changed over time.

 

I DM'd Bimong about the status of my order (Narin68 full doll).

One thing he said that I thought I'd pass along... "The factory is not being produced smoothly at the moment. [...] I don't think all shipments can be completed until October. This SD heads are a single product, so production has been accelerated and full set is possible after September."

I can't speak about the other dolls, but since I enquired specifically about Narin68 full doll, I gather that those dolls will be shipping after September, and folks may receive their orders as late as October onwards.

Long time no update but Bimong has jist posted a photo of parcels to his Insta story. I hope that means some people's dolls are on their way (I ordered a 58 Narae and 68 Narin so I doubt mine are in this batch)

 

I gave up shortly before those images appeared. I like his dolls, but the wait just got so excessive that I really stopped caring about the character I bought her to shell. He told me it would be September before I recieved my narae58, so it’s a little surprising to see other people’s dolls already ready to ship…

 

Chameleon, the 1/4s are likely the ones being shipped. They were being cast in the first half of the year, and over the last month Bimong was showing pics of them being assembled for shipping. Based on his posts of the 1/3 masters and what he said to me in DMs, I think the 1/3s are only now going to the factory for casting, so yes they will be ready later this year.

DM’d Bimong last week to ask about my 45cm Narin boy and told me it’d still be a little longer for him fjdksalfa. Haven’t seen much of anything about the mini boys on his IG yet. x_x

 

I hope you guys get your orders soon. I ordered Narin N609 and Grey last Nov 27, 2023. I'm still waiting for them. Bimong is responsive, so I'm not yet worried.

 

Does Bimong typically send notices that dolls have shipped/tracking info? I'm going out of town and am a little worried about a doll showing up when no one is home o:

 

In the past he’s sent me a picture of the label to check the info is correct

 

Instagram update on the preorder. Bimong is still shipping out the MSDs but it's been slow going because of the monsoon summer climate (and his health too, I'm sure).

Progress on the SDs has been pushed back, now shipping is projected to begin end October and complete end November. That'd be around a year after the preorder close.

I hope people have been receiving their MSDs?

 

@aihre I just saw the post too, looks like everyone who ordered 1/3 size is waiting for Godot...

I’m still waiting for my blank 1/4 Narae. Every time he posts a picture of one I hope it’s mine but I haven’t gotten any shipping notices yet.

 

ditto, still waiting on a blank narae too! he suggested at one point he was fulfilling orders according to when they were placed (and I placed mine extreeeemely late) so that might lend some clarity to where he's at in the process

 

to add an additional point of reference (if he is shipping them in the same order that they were placed): I ordered an msd body on November 17th and haven't received her or any indication that she has shipped.
I have definitely seen some people on instagram receiving the msds though- he sometimes will repost their arrivals to his story (:

 

I'll add to this point as well, I placed mine Dec 26 (I needed to cross some Ts on my end before placing the order, and had asked him right when the pre-order opened if I could place it late, which he was kind enough to agree to altho the order was technically closed at that point) So, I think mine will be perhaps the last to go out haha

 

I placed mine, for just a 41cm body on Dec 5 of last year. I'm going to assume I won't see this doll until the beginning of next year. But he's constant updates give me some measure of assurity.

Hoping I’ll be hearing soon about my boy, but I doubt it hahaha. I don’t think I’ve seen any boys in all the pictures Bimong has posed of casted orders so far. xD The girls are very popular.

 

How's everyone doing with the wait? Has anyone else received their dolls yet?

It's approaching 1year 9months since I ordered Narin68. I asked Bimong about it, again, and he gave me a deadline. Now I'm hoping that he will make good on his word and ship my doll before the deadline is up.

 

No news here. I'm hoping my dolls will arrive before I have to change addresses again. It's been so long that I hope the dolls I've ordered will still fit with my collection. I'm worried my Narae Eva's head is going to be too small alongside the Volks melonhead crew...

 

Yeah, doll plans and collections can change during such a long preorder time! I hope the Bimong dolls will still fit in with your crew when they arrive - ultimately you'd have to see them in person to find out for sure. I couldn't avoid working on the OC for my Narin guy while waiting... We'll see how character and story plans will still hold together when the doll actually shows up

 

I just reached out to Bimong because I had it on my todo list to check in for October. He told me that he plans to ship SDs out at the end of November now. I'm not excited to have to compete with holiday shipping... That said, if I get my Dandelion before the end of the year, it will be a nice to completely close out all my open doll orders.

 

Out of curiosity, are there many other people still waiting for msds to ship? Mine, which I ordered end of december, still hasn't shipped, tho she has jointed hands which might further delay things.

 

@Beldam I also got a mini (a Narin boy) on order that hasn’t showed up yet. x\ Ordered near the end of November and finished paying him off in January. x/

I asked him when stuff should start shipping, because I'm waiting on 3 dolls from him, and he said November for the boys big and small. So here's to hoping

 

Bimong shared a picture of the 68 Narin boys in silicon moulds. Who knows, maybe I'll see my order (68 Narin and 58 Narae) sent out before the year ends...

 

Bimong shipped my Narin68 today. Tracking number works. 1year 10months of waiting is almost over, and it feels kind of unreal, honestly. But I'm glad that my doll is now in the postal system, and I'll be gladder when he's in my hands.

How's everyone doing with the wait, has anyone else received news about their dolls, or production/shipment updates?

Thanks everyone. I ordered Narin shortly after I returned to the hobby after being away for years, so I've spent most of my return waiting for this doll. I'm thrilled that the wait is almost over. I will post box opening pics for sure!

I'm still waiting and have no news on my MSD body I ordered on Dec. 6 2023... so I sent a message inquiring about the status of my order. And received this in response.

" Finally in month !!
Please wait a few days "

Yeah, I messaged him the other day about the Narin mini boys, and casting for this apparently will begin this month, so we still got a while longer to wait xP

 

Bimong shared a picture of a Narae 58 body on insta...perhaps I will see my order before the new year

 

I saw the Narae 58 body too and reached out to Bimong to ask if the Dandelion series would be after Narae. He responded with a cryptic “Dandelion comes first”. I’m not quite sure what he meant by that, but I followed up asking if I would get my doll soon, and he responded “next month.”

I ordered and paid in full for my Dandelion on the 53 Fusion body on the first day of the preorder. After two weeks, I ordered jointed hands to go along with her.

So I’m hoping she’ll be home next month, but I’m also preparing myself for possibly another delay

 

At this rate I'm going to have 3 address changes during my wait

 

The dolls I was told would be November are delayed, I guess . I hope things will come next week. I know he's doing this by himself, but the wait has been long

-Narin MSD body in tan
-Fusion narae girl body in tan

I messaged Bimong again to ask if my Dandelion would be shipped this month, or if I should expect a delay. He responded with "Yes! Almost done! Please wait a few weeks!" which decidedly would make it delayed from arriving this month/end of the year... so I guess I will still be waiting and hoping that she gets here early in 2025.

 

NEWS! Over the Christmas holidays I got sent a message on Instagram of a doll with a post it note of info, asking if it was correct (it was) and guess what appeared today in the mail!! My Bimong body!
Weirdly I ordered C-Skin and that's what was on the post it note in the preview picture, but the certificate with the doll says it's 'n-skin' so now I'm a little worried. But letting people know I got my 41cm fusion headless body

 

Messaged Bimong about the head I ordered and he apologized and said maybe it way missing from the shipment list. Not sure if that means somehow my order fell through the cracks but thankfully he says he will send it early next month!

 

Oh no! The N-skin/new normal resin has a really distinct pink undertone, so if it looks more yellowish it might just be that the certificate was mis-marked. Did you reach out again to Bimong to confirm?

I think my CoA was also mis-marked. I ordered my Narin68 in C-skin/classic normal and that was written on his CoA, but his resin colour has a pink undertone. So I wondered if I got N-skin/new normal. (Though to be fair to Bimong: I got confused a few times - my original order was C-skin, but I quoted N-skin in a few subsequent DMs before correcting again much later - so that mistake was on me. There were so many DMs...) I'm not too fussed about it since I ordered a whole doll anyway, so I let it go and didn't follow up. But I had a feeling my doll's CoA didn't match the actual skintone.

 

@aihre My Narin is supposed to be C skin, so we can compare when he finally shows up!
Still no update on my order (Narin68 Grey and Narae58 Eva), but as I'm about a week off moving house, I'll ask Bimong for a rough time estimate once I've settled into my new place

 

Let us know what he says. The last time I asked about my Narin Grey, Narin 38 and the other Narae 38 body he told me "Casting now, coming soon" and that was December 6th. Not sure how long I should wait to poke him about it again.

I did message him and he said he sent the wrong cert and will send a new one. And it is yellow toned not pink. WHICH... If I had accidentally gotten the N Normal skin I would have been fine, since it's been a year from my the order my plans changed and I want to use the body for a newer NS MNF head instead of the old yellow one I planned... Kicking myself retroactively for not getting the N-Skin.

I'll just blush the heck out of it. But glad that I have it and it's amazing posability.

 

I checked in with Bimong for when the Narin SD/MSD will ship and he told me "within this month" which is the response I've been getting for the last 4 months. So...

 

my narae body arrived on friday- very exciting to finally see her in person!
for reference: she was ordered on november 17, 2023 and arrived january 10, 2025

 

I got a message from Bimong today saying my dolls would ship in a few weeks. Just in time for me to have finished moving house!

I ordered December 2023 and am still waiting on my Narin 45 boy body.

And also my Narin SD Grey with jointed hands and my fusion Narae 38. I ordered two Narae 38 and only received one so far (but I ordered the second one later on)

4 dolls ordered, 1 received.

 

Yup, still waiting for my boy too. On the bright side, Bimong posted a few days ago some progress pictures of the SDs and Narin45s getting casted so GOD I hope that means we'll actually get them this year lmao.

 

I received a picture of my nearly finished Narae girl, but only after I asked. Still no shipping updates or updates on either size boy. He said they would start shipping from next week, but we'll see.

 

Still hadn’t heard anything on the 17th so I messaged again and he said to wait a few days for my Eva head because it’s casting now. I figure it must take more than a few days if it’s being casted. Still no update I think I’ll wait a bit longer before messaging again.

 

I also have an Eva on order so fingers crossed my two dolls will be ready soon
