best balance ever

i managed to get Angua stand on one leg. that was really hard. ^^

 

Not particularly impressive, but it's hard to get some of my other dolls to even stand. To have a doll that can stand on one leg is amazing for me XD Difficulty- 2 for the first, 3 for the second.

 

Well, I managed to get Alice to do a crabwalk with backwards feet... That was a 7. She is not double jointed, and very tightly strung/kicky.

Got Alice to sit on Lilith's feet... That's about a 3.

Lilith stretching~ About a 4. It's quite easy with the bewb joint she has that slides forward and creates a gaping hole in her back.

Bending waaaay over backwards... I give this one a 3. It was really easy, but it looks cool!

Last one, I swear... just for dramatic effect, this one I call the "SMITE ME!" pose. Sorry for blur.

 

My current minis were starting to make me sad. My boy has solid legs, but his arms are about as limber as a baseball bat. My hybrid girl has wonderfully expressive arms, but her knees are incredibly weak. One day inspiration struck; pose them together!
He basically just stood there, and she held on for dear life in an assortment of poses. In most of these he has at least one of his knees bent. And for the most part, she is holding herself up completely.
She's a Bee-A head, first run of DIM Happy body, and Petsha sword hands.
He's a DOC Too on the short leg body.

This was really easy the first time, but it's been very difficult when I've tried to recreate it. 2 the first time, 7 every other time I've tried.


Playing chicken. Pretty easy, but I seem to recall her falling a lot. 5?

Now with fingers in his nose and mouth..


Whee! This was hard. I had to bend both his knees and make him lean backwards as a counterbalance. 7


This is my favorite, because I think it looks pretty natural, in a silly sort of way.. I'd give it an 8. Her knees kept popping out of joint and making them topple.


All Done!

 

DZ/AOD hybrid... might not look hard, but she kept snapping out of place.

Maybe a 6?







And... a two pound Obitsu carrying a four pound AOD. The resin doll kept sliding off, and the obitsu kept plonking forwards... then getting the bottle to stay in place was more fun. XD

I got my boy to stand on top of a stuffed dragon. Then I got him and his friend to both stand on it. I'd say the difficulty was about 8. It took some time to get them balanced on the dragon.

 

She's a puki and this was proven easy already but I wanna show off my Miyo, haha

This is even more surprising though because she wasn't strung properly and she was floppy.

 

My DIM Flowne, Lucy does a pretty impressive stand to be her. She is very tight and kicky, so standing on her own is hard. But crossing her feet and balancing on the edge of the table she wants. Not easy with her stringing, so hardship is on 7..

 

Uh...ignore everything but his amazing posing skillz. xDDD; Both torso joints are bent. Knee is bent. One foot almost in front of the other and close together. Note: this body is usually terrible at posing and it's sooo hard to even get it to stand let alone something like this!!

The pole does not help him stand... on the contrary it made the pose harder since it's heavy.

 

here's a picture of hypnos(sard) holding alice (mnf shushu elf). please note that there were no strings, wires, sueding or any other methods that were used to secure them in their pose... just resin and elastic.

Soom Spinel and AoD Juli. Excuse my messy desk. >_< Roslin is sueded, but she still likes to kick and makes posing kind of difficult. Xan stands and poses pretty well.


This was a little difficult because he kept wanting to tip to one side.


Roslin is standing on his stomach with one foot on his leg. Her hands are holding onto his feet. I had to move the foot so that it wasn't propped up against the monitor screen. So this was a little difficult.


Here she is standing on his stomach trying to hide her undies from view. XD


I tried to put her on his shoulders, but he didn't like the abuse I was giving him, and he topped backwards hitting his head on the (thankfully not very hard) printer tray. Poor guy.

degree of difficulty: ? because i didn't actually pose her at all, i just plunked her down and she sort of landed like this (i tweaked her arms a bit), again.... i was amazed!

 

This happened almost by accident-- on a whim, I just wanted to see if he could do it. One day after Miles came home, so no faceup or proper clothes. Difficulty was maybe a 4.5...

I told my sister to make sure he didn't fall and ran to get my camera. I wanted to get a better picture but I only have one, 'cause after that my camera decided to run out of batteries. TT_TT

 

Soom SuperGem Lazule. No support, no glue sueding, and I suppose he is still stringed too loose lol

This is about 2, very easy. Please note that surface is soft.



This one took me about 30 seconds to stand him, would be 4 I think. And he waited until I set up my camera and took all the pics I needed

 

My shoyu doesent pose that well, but when I got my shushu with the a line body, the first things were to pose her. Some are poses from the fairyland site, to see if she can really do that ^^ she wasnt restringed or anything, her legs are a little kicky somwtimes, but she does pose really well considering that there were taken on a surface she could easely slip on.

 

I never had any luck posing my dolls in any special way because most of them are losely strung for a more natural look. But the other night I had a circus show happening...

Kale is a MNF Shiwoo head on the new double-jointed Dollzone mini body. He can do some really cool stuff! He's the most posable of my dolls right now. I'm not great at balancing, so these were all fun and easy. Please excuse the nudity...





I haven't got him to stand on one leg, yet, but that toe is just barely touching the ground here.

Tamas is strung really tight, it's a pain getting him to do anything! But I wanted it to look like he'd just jumped down from a tall structure. I think it worked pretty well!

I finally got one of mine to stand on one foot. Fitch is the only one who will, but once he's up, he'll stay there solidly! It looks like he was concentrating really hard.

Didn't time how long these took, so I dunno the difficulty n_n;
the kid DM was the easiest, then the DOT, and then the Delf.

Harder than it looks, haha. One boot flat (the front one) and then he was balancing on the tip of the other one.


Not the best angle to show this was, but oh well; bent at a 90 degree angle, one foot flat, one put forward/balancing on the heel and arms like he was tying his shoe.


From the side as he was falling to the side (Uuugh, wind) XD;

 

Pen just sometimes does this haha he'll be standing, then just flop over and still be standing... He's on a Delf type 1 body that is strung REALLY tight lol

 

Zyon, hanging from a tree branch... This was probably a 2, because it was a thin branch, with nothing strong enough around it to help hold him, but I found his balance point rather quickly...






3 SD's and a tiny.... (2 DOTs, a Feeple Anu, and a Cheshire) The ONLY thing holding Zyon in the tree was Adrien's arm. This was probably a 7, because they didn't want to balance at the same time... as soon as one was steady, another would fall.



Simian was hanging from an itty bitty hook shaped twig, it was VERY difficult to get his arms to stay were they were to hold him up, and he only held it for 2 pics. So I'd say it was a 10.



This last one may not look too impressive, but getting Zyon (DOT Sha) to stand on a flat surface is VERRY difficult, because he isn't sueded, and his stringing is so loose that if you pick him up, his hips fall out of joint and dangle there, and the two boys were standing with one foot touching, on the hood of my camaro.... a slanted surface. (One of the dolls ended up toppling over after a few pics, and ended up getting broken in the process.) I'd call it a 6.

 

we had fun trying to pose and balance Reija yesterday in Southend it actually went really well!

Difficulty: 5 because keeping her balanced in my hand was a nightmare!

i never would have thought to do this except he was sitting like that on the table and when i picked him up he retained the sitting pos and balanced in my hand on his feet O.O...so i tried it on the table too. took all of three seconds to get him to stand....DMs are so well balanced. probably cause he's so heavy XD

This was actually a rediculously difficult pose to make Kaleb (msd) keep! -laughs- He kept wanting to topple over.

 

This forum inspired me to see what some of my dolls could do. Nothing totally unusual, but I was still surprised. (Please excuse the lawn furniture, our basement is the coolest spot in the house when it is 100 degrees outside.)
First of all I had to try this one.

Maybe a 4 (Luts Bory and an Iplehouse Mars)

Tayler was a little more difficult to get to stay, maybe a 6
(Iplehouse Tatiana and Mars)


I didn't know he could do that! Head stand!
Difficulty: about an 8, I'm not sure if he will do it again, maybe easier if he wasn't on the carpet...

This is about as close to a crouch as is gets. About a 3.

Hand stand! (His head is not touching the floor.) This is the only picture I got before the fan blew him over.

This was pretty easy, about a 2

He wouldn't do this standing, but kneeling was fairly easy. Difficulty 4

My darn Delf El is such a flop >3> I couldn't get him to stand much less do any of the cool things here. So sitting it was : ]

It was late at night, I was bored so I started posing him, orignaly he was holding onto the plant just standing then when I went to pick him up his legs crossed so I tried to set him down and bam he stood! I was shocked because all I have done to him is tighten his strings, no sueding or wiring at all! Excuse the lack of hair, his wig came in the next day XD
