omg toto is so cute!!! congrats omg....
hehe, i might have to order a yosd size silicon cap then omg... i have a few in other sizes but not in yosd, since i only have one other one..! :3
i think she'll get here before her wig, so she might wear my spare luts one for a while... it's long and pink so she won't quite fit my vision yet...!!
I hope we get to show off pics soon too, everyone has picked such cute sculpts to get, i'm so excited...!!

i would do my own faceups more often, but i'm still an amateur and i'm really low on MSC right now, so i don't want to risk having a half done faceup when i can have the one i fell in love with in the first place...!! *-*

Cherrytea has been on my wishlist for a while (maybe a year?) but i only wanted her in tan so i kind of figured i would never get her, so i was super happy when this event popped up! ^0^
I do have a name picked out actually! i usually have names picked out before i even order the dolls, it feels weird not having a name in mind for them when i already have like a design and a bit of personality..!! so her name is going to be Belgin~

although i am one of those people who occasionally keeps sculpt names, though i've only done it once, and only have plans to do it one other time so far. u_u

@mangameow, I ordered my judy in March so it was a while ago, but she arrived without shipping notice from Bambicrony. Check your order page or write them to check.

 

yeah, the same thing happened with an order i did with april story too, i wonder why some companies seem to be forgetting to send out shipping notices lately...? O_O
but i'll write to them if she doesn't come in the next day or two, since @myownlittleworld got theirs yesterday..!!

 

Yeah, I ordered a basic Minette back in Feb and nothing ever changed from confirmed payment on my order list. t took over a week for my questin to be answered on the Q&A board but Minette came in almost exactly 6 weeks like they said when my question was answered. Be aware that you probably won't get a shipping notification. My Minette and Melody were shipped fast, packed great, adorable and great quality so I'm thinking they don't have an flutent English employee on staff all the time. I confess to going into panic over my Minette order with no change and no response but I felt comfortable ordering again with Melody.

 

Do you have to sign for the package? It's a little scary not knowing when it's coming....I think I'll contact them about my order.

Yes, they have to be signed for. Fortunately for me, I have them shipped to my parents house where my Mom and I share an art studio. My Dad is always around so I never miss a package. Both times, I got a call from Pop saying I had a package from Bambicrony. Shocked me so much the first time. The second time, not so much! LOL There are so many cute sculpts. I really wanted a tan Melody. I was thinking I would have to wait until a winter event for a tan so was pleasantly surprised when the summer event popped up. Hoping for a tan Mae again. I really like the happy winter version on their site from a past event. I'll take pics of Melody when I get a chance. Would like to see everyone's when they come in. BTW.....the tan is an odd color. I used to have tan Amy and Judy years ago. This tan is totally different.

i have at least one parent at home all day usually, so my dad usually ends up signing for my dolls if i'm asleep or whatever. it really sucks when you have to pick them up at the end of the day or wait for the next day ugh!!
gosh though, you've had so many bambicrony...s(?)!! i've only actually had one yosd, ever and he's from pipos. :3 (i have a 35cm too though. oddly, they're all tans..!? )
i wonder if the "tan" is different from the "milk choco" skin they have? i hope it's not too different from what they used to have, but i'm sure i'll love her either way..!! is it a darker or lighter tan, or something totally different altogether?

Update: I posed a question about my order for tan ToTo a few days ago but it has yet to be answered. In fact, the administration hasn't answered anyone's questions since August 24th! That's a little scary. I only bought one doll from Bambicrony prior to this and had to put a dispute on my Paypal payments to them in order for them to give me an update! Now it looks like I may have to take the same route....this will be my last transaction with them.

 

doll companies usually don't have an english speaking assistant on hand 24/7, i don't think it's unusual to wait ~3-5 days?
i'd say give them another day or two, you gotta remember that they're in a totally different time zone too, so you might be posting on their board at midnight for them, and then they have to ask their english translator to come in, and then they have to get the information you need, and then translate that, and then send it to you, and then you have to see it. which can lead to things seeming a lot longer than they are

the last unanswered question was posted ~3 days ago, so i'd give them just a little bit more time before freaking out!
looking at the time frames between when a question is posted and when it gets answered, it looks like ~4 days is the usual wait time for answers, so i bet their english assistant can only come in once or twice a week.

stuff like not knowing when your package is coming..... that can be super scary though, i totally understand.
i hope everything works out soon..!!!
i know it's super hard to not worry but doll companies are just kinda weird sometimes, you'll be alright and your doll will be alright, i promise! ^-^

(also, btw, Toto is SUCH a cute sculpt, i'm super jealous and have totally added him to my wishlist OMG)

 

OMG! I didn't realize Toto was a boy until I read your message and went back to the site! I can see the boyish look now.....Well, I guess I'm going to have a cross-dressing yosd, depending on my mood.....I feel like I did the time I took my stray cat in to be 'fixed' because I didn't want her getting pregnant and went back at pick up time to find out it was a neutered male....Luckily I had applied the name 'Kiki' to it so I didn't have to change the name. I feel so stupid! OMG!

 

oh!! the bambicrony ciao bella bodies are all gender neutral/androgynous, so you'll actually get to pick and switch as/if you choose!!
i just called them "he" because the sculpt came off as a cute little boy to me, haha~
a boy who likes to wear dresses is a good idea though, i have a character doll like that, his name is Julian! (^- ^

that's so silly tho omg poor kiki going to the vet without actually needing to go... i hope he wasn't too upset haha

you don't have to feel stupid tho, it's not always clearly written out on sites. i always do a ton of research and ask questions first if i'm unsure
i have to do that a lot, actually, since most of my dolls are boys and i like a lot of sculpts that are default "girl" heads, and sometimes you have to special request getting a certain head on a certain body.

 

I feel better about the Ciao Bellas being gender neutral! I was worrying about putting Toto in a dress and having him be upset....like the doll is REAL.....I even started looking for YoSD boy patterns! Sigh!

 

awww haha, i'm sure he'd be just fine. ^_^
i do similar things, like i have some naked dolls that i don't take out because i don't have the right clothes for them yet, and i'd feel bad for them to sit around naked. x3

So I paid the last invoice yesterday but I don't know if my doll is done or not. I'll have to keep checking the 'order status' so that I can see when they ship it and keep an eye out.
My dolls are always sitting around naked or partially because I'm always working on clothes for them! I keep telling myself to dress them all and display them for a least a few times a year.....

 

How about some Bambicrony photo spam? It's been 3 1/2 months for my tan Toto and I'm still waiting......sigh.

i found out my doll is shipping later than expected (this month apparently though, so... fingers crossed!! ) but her dress came in yesterday and it's sooooo cute i'm really excited to get her finally...!! I put it on Julian for the time being, just because he hasn't worn anything different since he arrived.
her wig from leeke still needs to ship though, so i'm ok with waiting a liiiiittle bit more!
I'm assuming things are delayed since its monsoon season or something? and that means the weather is really bad for casting and faceups >_<

So I didn't get a shipping notice either.........just keep check on your order status. Plus, I had previously asked about her status through their 'board'; sometimes it's the squeaky wheel.....

huh, well i ended up posting a day or two ago and they said it would take 2 more weeks since they had some casting issues with mine; probably due to a combination humidity/monsoon season and tan resin ORZ
but then today i got a notice that it was preparing to ship??!
i suppose sometimes it's the squeaky wheel, indeed!
(i get so nervous though, i don't want to bother or annoy them in case they're working hard and almost done (/__\ )

they're good friends and I'll actually be keeping them both in her box now, it's so much bigger than Julian's? it can fit them both and not squish their wigs since I took out the foam that was used to totally secure Belgin! :3
i need to find some shoes that'll fit her better, the ones I have are way too big..! :O

 

Congrats! They are both beautiful! Her feet are 4 cm and they say to add on 5 mm when buying shoes so that's about the same size as Ann Estelle. I think you'd be safe going on e-bay and buying shoes listed for Ann Estelle; I have shoes that fit mine but I don't know what doll I originally bought them for....just lucked out. I sorely need to get organized!

I'm a bit late, but congrats vixen and mangameow on getting your dolls. They are both so cute!

I finally got my Vanilla who I'm calling Lucy on Tuesday and I couldn't wait so on Wednesday I gave her a quick faceup.

She's borrowing pretty much everything she's wearing from my other dolls. The only things that are hers are the shoes from Bambicrony and the Makoeyes. I can't wait to spoil this girl rotten.

She looks lovely! I love the soft look you gave her. My Judy is still borrowing clothes from my other dolls as the BC-CB are so slim. I love them though!

 

My little Judy was out and about in the garden this morning...I got her a new dress and boots as I felt bad she had not had any new clothes in a while.

 

I haven't ordered from Bambicrony in years but I am thinking of ordering another one. How is their service these days and what are the wait times?

 

Anyone have an idea on the usual wait times for BC? There's no real waiting room for them. I just paid off a milk choco Minette and I'm curious about how long it usually takes. Ordered Oct 1. Very excited either way!

 

i ordered my tan cherrytea on 2016-07-29 and she came to me on 2016-11-4! and i think i had her on two month layaway if i remember right..? so a around a three month wait was what i had for my tan CB around this that time last year. ^^

BC is really nice, very helpful and they were thrilled when i sent them a thank you and a picture with my girl. :')

 

I want to purchase a playmate for my Judy. I am thinking of a different company and wondered if anyone has a recommendation for another doll that would be about the same size (slim) as BC-CBs? I have a MYou 1/6 and she is big and chunky compared to my Judy...they just don't fit in the same world. So many of the great comparison photos are out of commission at the moment. Thanks for any help.

 

Sugarble dolls would be good but they aren't being made anymore. The Limhwa Aria size should also be good. Here's a comparison that might help:
