Not long at all, at least once it gets out of customs. Of course it was like three weeks in customs.

Also, check everything over. I haven't had anything come broken, but they use the absolute cheapest cardboard box I have seen from any company. Expect it to look like it was used as a soccer ball by the entirety of the pee-wee soccer clubs in the US.

Anyone have trouble contacting Angell-Studio lately? I've been trying to contact them for the past month but never got responses to my emails T_T I finished paying off my layaway in the beginning of the month and since then didn't hear anything from them.

 

I received an order from them this month but that didn't require much communication.

 

I'm still waiting on Mulan that was ordered in August 2019. Dealer said 4-5 months so I was expecting 6-7. I'm at 8 months now and still in progress. I guess 9 months sound about right for fullset now?

 

I think u need to wait a bit longer because on Januari till February all people in China cannot go to work because The Virus ,,

Yeah, for a fullset I would expect a longer wait. My girl is blank and I ordered her on November 9th.

I got a response from them on Monday! They said its likely that my doll will be shipped on the 20th!

Anyone else who's having a hard time getting them to respond to emails, message them on Facebook and they'll let the customer rep know. They're more active on Facebook at least for oversea promotions.

 

My Mulan fullset is shipped! She is getting shipped through Yanwen so hopefully isn't delayed as EMS. Super excited

 

Reached the 7 and a half month wait for my yosd Cassie! She's not a fullset, just a nude doll with no faceup so it's a bit sad that its taking as long as some fullest, longer in some cases, but with how things are right now its understandable. I just really hope that she does ship soon!!! Each new day is one day closer to my grail girl arriving

 

They finally shipped my doll! They said that they shipped it by UPS. Hopefully it won't be stuck in limbo at the airport like my ems orders.

Does anyone know what size eyes Mulan takes? The website says 16 but I'm curious from owner experience how true this is.

 

I don't have Mulan, but I can tell you Bing Yi takes 14mm, and probably could take 12? They list her eye size as 16mm as well.

I've had that happened with doll companies before and since I exclusively buy EDEs for my doll eyes I'm always weary to shell out and risk the eyes not fitting because the company listed incorrect information. Given Mulan's eyes are a bit on the larger size I can see how 16s would fit but I'm just not sure it's a worthy gamble. I may just wait for her to arrive and then order the eyes after the fact, even if it will take much more time.

Also just for general knowledge. AS told me when I ordered my Mulan this week that we're anticipating about a 10 month wait time right now. That sounds a bit extreme but I know a few here have been waiting 8+ months so maybe not that much of a jump. I hope it doesn't take that long but for general knowledge purposes.

 

@akaisha0 That really helps to know! I might be ordering a girl in their suntan colour, because I've always loved it, but everything I'm seeing about their communication right now is a little alarming...

 

My Cassie finally arrived!!! Since I ordered through angelesque we had an arrangement for her head to go to the faceup artist and then her body to me, so I currently have her with no face, but at least she's here!!! I'm so happy, it's been a LONG wait!

I just ordered some outfits rather than a full doll. I've been coo-ing over this outfit for about a year, and since my vacation plans were f'ed for the year I splurged and got this outfit and the wig that goes with it.

Hopefully it won't be as long a wait as a doll, but I expect the box to look like it was used as a practice ball for the World Cup by the time it gets to me. So far outfits and dolls have been in good shape, but dear god the outer boxes have been in horrible shape!

 

Hey guys, I'm joining as I just ordered my Bai Rong boy How long do you currently need to wait for an AS doll?

 

I only had to wait about 4 months, but then that was a few years ago before all the crap went down. Upside-ordering now means likely that shipping will get back to normal by the time your boy is ready.

 

Legend doll just told me that my Wei Jie is ready to be shipped!! They're going to ship him out sometime this week or next week~ For reference, I ordered on October 30th so it's been a little over 7 months. I ordered a doll with custom faceup + body blushing and I was expecting a much longer wait. Super excited!~



*EDIT: Legend Doll just informed me that the faceup isn't done yet. T-T

 

Any news about your dolls, guys? Angell Studio told the dealer that my Bai Rong would get shipped on June 30, 2021 and I could cry

Popping back in here, I received my Wei Jie today! He shipped on July 15th (order on October 30th) so the wait was over 8 months for a doll with faceup + body blushing~

I prefer BaiLu's face over WenYao's face, so white deer will turn into a golden koi mermaid

 

My huaRong that i ordered on march by dolkus is ready to ship!so excited because i dont need to wait at least 8months ...

 

Just popping in. Angell Studio has told me my order from May 17th isn't projected to ship until March 2021 :-/ I have no idea why some orders take nearly a year and others are out in just a few months. They're almost as bad as Doll Chateau.

 

Oh wow, I had no idea that was the state of things right now.

All 5 of my girls came within 3-4 months of ordering.. This was pre 2020 though..

 

AS apparently has no idea what they're saying. Literally the day after they sent me an e-mail stating it was projected for May 17th they told me it was ready. I...have no words for that. Less than 12 hours difference. How is there that much of a disconnect? My mail forwarder though sent pictures after inspecting and the doll is stained (brand new..but I had requested nail art and it looks like some of the nail art paint got on the shoulder...HOW I have no idea.) and the shoes from AS are strained too. I'm a bit baffled. I mean..I'm excited that she's done after they literally just told me she wasn't but holy cow.

 

Sadly many things I've ordered from them have small defects


I hope the stains aren't terrible..?

 

@Yuna-Ki At this point, nothing from this company surprises me anymore. The hassle I had to go through to even order to begin with followed by the weird wait times they gave me, followed telling me my order would be another 6+ months followed by 12 hours later "just kidding! we already shipped it", I just...I have no words for this company anymore. The stains aren't too bad from what I can tell. The shoes I bought are NOTHING like they represent on the website. They are stained, not the pristine white they're shown as, etc. and there's really no fixing that error. As for the staining on the arm, it looks like it's just extra paint from the nail art so I hope it's just surface level and I can scrape it off but it's black so the longer it sits the more likely it'll leave a permanent mark.
It's really a shame to hear that this is common for Angell Studio. I love their aesthetic and I love their clothes that I've bought numerous times. Just a shame everything else has no quality control.

 

Hi, I'm new here. A week ago, I just ordered an AS new doll Shi Shi Li with full outfit and faceup. Can't wait for her to arrive!

I've had beads missing off the whole left side of a dress bodice. On my bing-yu's fullset they forgot to put the clasps on one side of the Obi, so I couldnt fasten it. And I've had a few small stains and what not on other items.

Their dolls and outfits are beautifully made.. Though you're right, they have strange things slip through their quality control

 

I am officially joining the Angell Studio waiting room. Just ordered two girls through Moonlight BJD. So far they have been a total delight to work with... I had a million questions and they managed to get everything answered. It's really too bad that AS is not offering the free head through dealers, because I certainly would have qualified, but the particular doll combinations I wanted weren't available through the AS site and I've not had good luck getting answers from AS service.

 

Ordered my first BJD from Angell Studios! I am super excited to receive her!!!!! I purchased the full set of The White Doe on November 6. They let me know that my order should ship in 70 days (because I ordered body blushing.) If I hadn't ordered the blushing, it would have been 60-65 days. The wait begins!!! ..............

I am feeling impatient already, lol! Very excited to receive my first BJD!

 

Congrats! That's a lovely sculpt. Their body blushing is lovely and I've have my girls for about 3-4 years with no chipping so I'd say the quality is super nice also

Ok, joining the waiting room a second time - waiting on the full set Jade Rabbit by Angell Studios which I picked up from Dolk Station. I'm a little nervous, because I've read not so good reviews about Dolkus, but so far, they have been really awesome with my order. My communication yesterday stated that she should be mailed out within 7 days!! She was an in-stock doll, so I didn't have a long wait at all. Fingers crossed the end of this transaction goes as smoothly as the beginning! I selected her because I have always loved the story of the moon rabbit. I'll be so happy to think of this story everytime I see her. She will be my 2nd BJD ordered but the first I have ever received, and I can't wait to get my hands on my first ever BJD!!

Out of curiosity, what's the average sort of wait time from AS at the moment?
I'm planning to order a blank doll (+high heel legs) through Legend Doll (since I've had zero luck emailing AS direct about adding high heel legs, so I don't think I wanna order directly), but I'm very on the fence if I'm gonna be waiting a long time.

 

so like 2 months for a standard doll with no faceup, clothes or special parts ordered through newclover-singing. She speaks chinese and is very good with commincating to the buyer so you could ask her to liaison for you regarding heel legs.
I ordered the new mermaid at the same time, but i am still waiting on that due to it being a nonstandard bjd.

If it's on the asdoll Taobao and not sold out, I'm pretty sure she can get it for you since she does a Taobao shopping service too.

 

I'm sure it was the last time I checked (maybe a week ago?). It's still on the AS official site and on other dealer sites. It's not a limited or one of the ones being discontinued either.

 

Okay, so Christina from clover-singing said AS won't allow people to order the high heel legs separately, even if I order a whole doll with the flat feet. I don't understand why not since they used to sell them as option parts...
I can change the flat feet for the high heel legs for an extra $22 though.

I'm likely to just go with the flat feet and look for heeled feet from another company and use those instead.
It's honestly ridiculous, why can't I have both if I pay extra???

Anywho, Christina also said in about 2 weeks AS will have a sale and dolls should be 20% off, so she told me wait until then to place an order.
So I guess I'll be joining you guys properly then haha

 

I wonder if they have change mold or trying to reduce production time by not allowing heels. Last time I ask about heel feet it was more than 10 months ago and I was allow to add it to my doll but it would cost me over $100 because it's the whole heel leg rather than just a foot.

Loongsoul 69cm female heel feet fit my Mulan body but resin doesn't match since I have the French white and Mulan body in Milk. I'm also not sure if they make only feet only now since I saw a recent unboxing of the 69cm fullset with heel leg as an option part.

I'll be having her boobs sanded flat (and probably her nether region sanded flat too depending on how 'prominent' it looks in person lol) as the character is male. The sculpt is a new shell for the boy in my avatar pic ^w^ My tastes have changed over the years and he desperately needs a revamp.
I was originally on the hunt for another male head sculpt to put on a female body like his current shell, but I've found it's much harder to find companies now where the neck sizes between male and female sculpts are similar (1cm or less). So I just went with a entire female sculpt for him this time.

Made my own DIY Wenyao ish wig from a plain black long straight wig with long bangs in prep for the mermaid coming in soon.
Modeled on White Doe / Faon with faceup from me.
