Well, my preference is for curvy bodies generally but the renewed body is lovely too. I look forward to seeing photos of new Virginia - and even more to actually getting her!

 

I wish he would have given a choice about the body too - I am not so much into slim bodies (being quiet the opposite of slim myself ... ). Hopefully the chest sizes didn´t get more slim too! But nevertheless the body is still beautiful.

 

For anyone that ordered Yolande, the shipping schedule was pushed back to February-March.

 

Yes. But it is possible to choose between the old and new body, which was a very positive surprise for me. That is one thing I really appreciate about Amadiz beside the beautiful designs - very good communication and they try real hard to make their customers happy.

 

Are there measurements for the two girl bodies anywhere? I only see the height listed on the website, and I'm very interested in just how slim the new slimmer version is. Been waiting a long time for a realistc body type like this that isn't a mini!

 

The measurements for the old body or on there but I can't say I have seen the measurements for the new body (even though I am waiting for one).

@St. James Thank you for your interest! The measurements of the Old & New bodies are exactly the same, the differences are visible only visually, because the Old body is more curvy, and the New one is elegant. I myself am surprised at this, but it's true.

For the first try I can say that he fits 14mm eyes, 7-8 sized wigs from Monique and sd17 clothes (they are a little bit big for him on my taste)

The doll I have received is in exellent condition. Do not sure how resin would look like after 2 or 3 years of playing, but at first glance it is diffrent from korean and chineese legal resin, and quite similar to russian minimee casting I have, (it is some sort of Smooth cast too). But every custing company have it's own methods.
I hope everything will be ok.

@Reinameron Thanks! From the photo, the resin seems really nice and comparable to Demiurge dolls (another Russian company). Although, I've been getting mixed results from other people regarding the sculpting and overall quality. I may join the next pre-order, whenever it opens, and see for myself. I can't wait to see more of Stephan though!

 

@Reinameron He is gorgeous, so glad to hear they are starting to ship. I want my Yolande boy to hurry home. Do you find him about the same weight as other SD17 size dolls? Thanks so much for sharing your eye and clothing sizes! Now I know what to start setting aside and searching for. ^_^

 

Yep, there is smth similar to Demiurge, but I cun't say that very similar, due to differences in custing..companies, process?

Now I need to paint him and to make eyes. I am doing ot by myself)

I saw on Facebook that they prepared a bunch of Virginias und Yolande boys for shipping a few days ago - did anyone else here get their dolls meanwhile, or a shipping notice? I looked up that I ordered my Yolande on July 20th last year ... I am starting to get a bit impatient, especially after all the beautiful pictures ^^

 

My Virginia was ordered in May, seems an awful long time ago.

 

@Ashemanu, @avrilpaeony, I saw my nickname on that video with casted dolls too, but still no shipping notice. Mine doll is fully paid on Aug 26. Hope all of us will have our dolls shipped very soon! I am a bit nervous, I see dolls that were paid later arrived to their owners...

 

@Reinameron you are so lucky! I can’t wait to get my Yolande it’s killing me. I hope the rest of our boys can be shipped soon >__<

 

George says my Virginia will be ready to ship first part of this month so not long now hopefully.

 

@avrilpaeony that would be so cool! I so wish to see ownerpictures of her. He told me my Yolande would ship this week, I hope this will come true also.

 

Work in progress with my Yolande - Stephan.
I made a faceup, now he needs eyelashes and eyes. I am thinking about eye design and color (light blue or green). May be I'll craft several pairs for choosing. Do not know right now.

Thank you!)) This is limited eyes from my second Soom Benmore doll, and Stephan needs some more realistic eyes, with pupil for his character. His own eyes.. My great pleasure that I am an eye maker, but also this is a problem cause every time there is one problem I have - what eyes to make )

 

too thinking of ordering Virginia old....but the waiting time (some of the customers I ve heard are waiting more then 6 months) and the real quality of the doll (seen on Magdalena new and old owners photoes, and the Yolanda dollscar doll) make this decision even harder... and still anyone know, do they still produce old Virginia? Or the mold is impossible to get after they redid it?

 

Dear @Kharata, I am very pleased that so many people from the Russian bjd community (as far as I know you are from Moscow) continue to be actively interested in purchasing our dolls.

If you do not mind, I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Unfortunately, at the moment I do not plan to re-release Virginia Old.
Perhaps in the future they can be purchased in the secondary market, if someone from the owners of the old version of this mold, wants to sell it.

As far as I know from BJDClub, the winner of Dollskar, who received as gift Yolande on the first version Angels body, was also very pleased with her doll.

Unfortunately due to camera problems I can't take many photos of her right now, but here's one I took before my camera crashed


My Virginia has the new headmold, absolutely gorgeous.
I asked Amadiz to paint her for me, and purchased the wig from them. These blue eyes are the only eyes I have in her size at present.
Her clothing and ballet shoes are items I'd collected over the years for other dolls.

Virginia came well packaged with love and care. She is a stunningly beautiful high quality doll.
It's easy to see how much hard work and thought went into the making of this doll.
She is exceptionally well made, her joint engineering was very well thought out, she poses perfectly and realistically, and holds her poses well.
Her resin is solid, smooth and evenly coloured. A very pretty shade of pinky-tan.
Virginia is so elegant, she is a pleasure to pose and to admire.
She has the flat feet, high heel feet and ballet feet, all are beautiful.
And Amadiz even included resin hand stubs to aid dressing
The manual is very clear, - the photos of dolls make me want to order more!!!

Well done Amadiz! It was worth the wait for this beautiful girl

Rook_Sever, hope your wait isn't too long. I ordered a Yolande girl on July 20th last year (I wish I'd ordered a boy as well) so I don't expect to be seeing her for a while yet.

A lot of work for just 2 people...

 

I did order mine painted. You are right pianissimo - it is a lot for two people.

It is good seeing owner pictures. The dolls look so lovely. I love the retro look of your girl.

 

I hope everyone’s dolls arrive soon. I received a tracking number and my girl is taking her time getting here. I suspect I should have her in another week or so.

She is the new truffle tan ~ new Virginia head on new body.

 

I am following Amadiz also for a long time now and have one beautiful custom wig made by them.
I love their work and really would like to get the male body from them. This guy is totally love and so amazing beautiful. It would be perfect for the minime of my favourite musician. The only thing that stops me from buying is the lack of money as it's most time normal for collectors ^.^°
But I will try to save money as much as I can now because I am sure this guy is tje perfect one.

Pianissimo on the Amadiz facebook page your doll is chocolate which is the same as I am waiting for, I have never heard of the truffle tan either.
