I'm glad you started this thread, LisaMarie, I have also been following the progress of Amadiz.
I have several of their wigs and I purchased an Iplehouse doll from them which they had painted beautifully.
Iplehouse bodies are very beautiful, but as soon as I discovered the posing ablity of the new Amadiz body I knew I had to have one of these fabulous girls.
I have on order Virginia in chocolate, haven't decided on clothing/shoes yet. I loved their "rockstar" image.
I do think that the milky skin girl is a gorgeous ballerina and I'll look forward to seeing photos of your lovely girl when she arrives.

Does anyone on this forum own one of the older Amadiz girls, Magdalena?

 

Well, I went for the flexible hips because I've no intention of displaying my girl undressed, LOL
My Iplehouse girl (now rehomed) had static hips and although she had the most beautiful legs it was impossible to pose her seated elegantly.
But like you, I love ballet but my smaller dolls (Popovy) are my ballerinas.
I can certainly see Virginia as a ballerina, you will be able to pose her with ease by the looks of things.
Shoes may be a problem, I thing Virginia's feet may be a bit wider than some SD girls.
(I hate waiting for dolls ... aaaagh!)

 

wooo - wide feet, I think they are wider than SD16, but fingers crossed because there are so many beautiful shoes SD16 size.
I think I'll have to order a pair of Amadiz shoes for my girl to start with anyway just to make sure she has some shoes!

Oh so first week in August is the time is it? I'll get busy ordering some clothes then.
I was so excited about ordering Virginia I forgot to tell George which face-up I wanted, LOL !

 

I ordered her in split, so I will only have the body. Ill hybrid her (if possible) with a YiD iplehouse Asa head. I cant wait to receive her and sew for her!!

I'm really excited for the male body that they have, but don't have the funds to get it this summer. Hopefully they re-release him (different head or not) next year so I can get one. He's so beautiful.

Has anybody received a doll from Amadiz yet? The first one, Magdalena, was released quiet a while ago, if I recall correctly. I couldn´t find any owner pictures yet.

 

I'd love to see owner photos too, I love BOTH Amadiz bodies!

 

I saw their new chap just a couple of days ago and I am painfully obsessed. Those feet! That tum! Oh my god! As someone who just doesn't do big eggbox-tum fellas (I find them impossible to bond with? don't know why?) it's so nice and refreshing to see a place deliberately go for a mature body that isn't Super Ripped and instead conforms to a less "typically masculine" beauty standard. Plus, like, I really love the Russian fashion/art doll aesthetic and I'm pleased to see Amadiz's body has some of that flavour. I don't doubt he'll be popular enough for a re-release.... at least, my currently broke ass hopes so...

 

I agree the new male angel is really interesting and different, while also being lush and very appealing.

First I wanted all their wigs, now I want their dolls... *sigh* TOO MANY DESIRES

 

I love this new sculpt, it's so realistic. Difficult to choose between girl or boy!
It's a pity this doll has been released so quickly after the last one - I wish Amadiz would have waited until Virginia's buyers had received their dolls - without that feedback we really have no idea if this body and the resin quality are as good as they look on the promotional photos.

 

Magdalena was released in late December 2016, if I recall it correctly. So far there are no owner pictures. So I assume nobody has received her yet. It would really interest me how long the company takes to actually deliver a doll after full payment.

 

I do wonder if she was only ordered by Russian collectors ....

 

Virginia's ordering terms state production time to be about 90 business days i.e. around 4 months.

 

That's the theory I would like to know the real deal before I start thinking about ordering Yolande. But it seems that will be wishful thinking.

 

They told me that she should be ready in september.

Georgy Ramensky of Amadiz Studio has sent out a letter to customers explaining the production situation. This can also be viewed on the blog on their website. Magdalena is being prepared for dispatch and should be sent by the end of the first week in August (next month). She has the revised body, hence the delay.

I'm really looking forward to seeing owner photos, and I'm sure they'll make me anticipate getting my own Amadiz Virginia even more!

 

I'm also in the camp of those who hopes the male body gets re-released. Really lovely.

 

Has anyone places an order yet for their new boy? I'm curious. I want to get one myself but I'm in a rush to save money >__<

 

I got Yolande as a girl. Very excited to see her in person, the female body looks lovely. Maybe I am just too blind, but I did not find any option on their page where the male body could be ordered.

 

I ordered boy Yolande - it's a little odd how they put each skin tone and boy/girl body option as a separate listing, but they're all still up under dolls.

 

I wish we could see other owners pictures of any Amadiz Angel doll before ordering. I would have assumed that Magdelena would have been shipped by now.... but no pictures anywhere, only ones taken by Amadiz Studio.

 

I got a mail today from Amadiz Studio that the first Magdalenas have shipped (I get their newsletter). Took so long because he reworked Magdalenas head and the body. The head looks much more proportional now Anyway, I hope we will see the first owner pictures soon!

@Rook_Sever your pics are lovely! It's great to see the head in different bodies and the poseability looks great. Did you find there are seams on the doll? I ordered the Yolande boy and am wondering how bad the seams are.

 

@Lady_addiction glad my unboxing is useful! Seam removal service was provided as a gift, so I have no idea about how the seams are...

I absolutely LOVE the new male body ❤ The posing looks stunning & the aesthetic is lovey. Has anyone here got any Amadiz dolls as boys yet? I would be interested to see hybrids too.

 

Just received an update since I finished my layaway this month. Production time is now 5-6 months, so I'm looking at potentially receiving my boy Yolande between April - June next year.

 

Does anyone here have both the small & medium bust options? I would really like to see an on-body comparison.

 

@Lady_addiction I got the email too. So April-June arrival. It's such a long wait T_T This will be as long as the time I put an order in through Dollshe. I hope they can move through the orders quickly. Half a year before I can hold my precious boy *tears*

 

Hugs!!! Yeah, I seem to be attached to.companies with insanely.long wait times!!! But I'm hoping it's just as worth it as my Dollshe and my Doll Chateau dolls!

 

I'm seconding the comment of, why must I love companies with long waits. I was able to see the male body in person tonight and just, wow! Now I'm anxious to hear when they may be opening orders again and what heads might be an option.

 

Are you aware of any owner photos online?

 

I thought the male dolls were not going to be shipped until Spring/Summer next year as Virginia has not been shipped yet.

I feel for you. I don't know if I could wait that long, and you've been waiting longer than that already haven't you? I think the boy body is very nice, but I just can't stand the wait.

 

@Deus Hache I started my layaway in August so yeah I've been waiting awhile. They said they won't start on dolls until after people pay for the full thing which makes the process take longer in my option. But hopefully they started working earlier on orders anyway. Because if a lot of people did layaway and finished at the same time then they had some free time before this point.

 

I just got an email from Amadiz and they said that the boy Yolandes will be shipping between this month up to Feb 2018. That's a lot earlier than I anticipated and I hope that mine arrives by the end of February!

 

Hello what do you think about new Virginia mold and new body? I'm a little bit confused about it and need some advice. She will be my first SD doll.

 

@gudinne, what do you want to know? I don't have an Amadiz doll, but others who have received theirs may be able to help.

 

I don't think Virginia has arrived with anyone yet, I am still waiting for mine (since May) should hopefully be shipped within next month or so.

 

I ordered Virginia and now you can choose between new and old version (both body and head) just wanted to know what others will prefer. But now I made my choice - the old version. Thank you i hope we get our dolls this year

 

Oh, did you get an email? I didn't but my email address had changed so I emailed George and let him know my new email and said how much I liked the new head and he replied to acknowledge my choice

The new head is very cute! I saw news on amadiz's blog so I emailed to them. Geoge said also that it will be more pictures with new Virginia. I chose the old head. Which body do you like more? old curve or new slim?

I also ordered her a long ago. Can't wait anymore.
