* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, I think so. The doll is not the best quality, the sanding is a little rough in places and there are a few minor imperfections. This doll cost a bit less than my Doll Leaves 70cm and I would say it is a bit less good quality than the Doll Leaves body. It's fine for what I need though.
The jointed hands are very good.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes.(Although the body in the sales photos is blushed so it's hard to compare exactly.)

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes. The jointed hands are fantastic and better than I expected. I had fairly high expectations about the body from reviews I'd read, I would say the body doesn't really quite meet those expectations, but it's certainly not bad.

I'm sure once I figure out how to style fur wigs they'll look like the sales pics. The eyes actually have a little glitter in them, which isn't noticeable on the sales pic, but they look really nice in person anyway.

Almost exactly one month to ship out, and another three weeks to reach me (using airmail).

Yup! The body was much nicer in person than in stock photos, and for $1 the eyes look great.

Yes (the Impldoll body looks significantly better than in the stock photos, actually).

Yup! It's a nice way to save on shipping for tinies (so long as you don't mind the wait).

Quality was not across the board for all my items. Some items were nicely finished, while others had hanging threads and/or sealed with Velcro.

For the most part.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
I was satisfied with some of the products, but the pants were a tad too big, even though the skirt in the same size fit, and the t-shirts secured in the back with an entire strip of Velcro.

It's not enough for me to bother them with.

No. Shipping was a fiasco, and I'm unimpressed with the quality of some of the products.

I had a nightmare with shipping for this order. Somehow DHL on the shipping end swapped labels with someone else's order, so I received theirs. I immediately contacted Alice, and she got in contact with DHL so that the my package was rerouted to my address, instead of the other person's. I do not like DHL for various reasons (this order adds another reason), and really wish Alice had shipped via EMS.

 

Just a note to the review by thakyuki above....

Alice will ship by a different method if you ask. DHL is a horrible disaster here so I always ask her to use airmail or EMS instead.

yes. Everything is well made.

yes, except one one jacket, for some reason I assumed the zipper would be a separating zipper. It didn't say in the description, but I just assumed it was. Not an issue however.

Excellent! I had questions beforehand about the events and gifts and everything was answered within a few hours!
Later I sent an email asking how much longer my order was going to take, which also was responded to very fast and friendly.
Thier helpful customer service is definitely very good.

Paypal, easy as usual.

* How long did it take to ship?
23rd of November 2014, arrived like a week or so later via DHL.
The pratice head took the usual BJD manufacturing time of ~3 months.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The quality is alright. Given the mid-range prices most of the products they have (apart from dolls) are of medium quality - not as nice looking or feeling as more expensive clothing shops but it's a good site when someone wants a little bit of everything.
The clothes were decent looking. Fur wigs are in a 'raw state' without any elastic or fitting.
The practice head and jointed hands from Doll Family are great quality.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes except for the price of 10 and 17 dollars I did expect the fur wigs to be 'ready to use' when they came. The website didn't say anything about them coming like that so I was a bit disappointed. Now though I don't mind as much.

How was the communication?
It was amazing mostly, quick anwsers and lovely personal responses. I asked to have the clothes switched to SD17 size and it was done happily, except the vest which only came in 70cm but I was told it should fit. However I was also given the option to choose another item if I didn't want to take the chance.

My only problem comes with something explained further down.
How easy was it to pay?
Easily through Paypal, though I wasn't expecting the paypal fees. Kinda odd.
How long did it take to ship?
48 days - I had a huge problem with this. I know they are a middle man, and sometimes delays happen that are out of their control. This is fine, I am more than happy to wait if that is the case (which for a few items it was due to Golden Week and then Another Dimensions going to a convention). My problem is that I ordered a Kazari cat whilst it was in stock, it was part of my order, and then suddenly I was waiting for it to be made again.

This happened because instead of pulling items and putting them on hold with the orders they were originally purchased with, they were giving them to whomever's order was ready to ship out first so less people would be waiting on orders. This to me is not how one does something, once an item is ordered it gets placed to wait for the items not in stock for that order. It's not really okay for a company to give on hold items away...even if they know they already have another order coming in.

Yes, admirably so.

Extremely. I was worried that items may not fit my boy, but they fit perfectly. The 70cm vest is a tad big in certain spots, but also seems snug in others so that's a mystery though, lol. The Karazi is stunningly adorable. No seemlines and of course lovely packaging.
If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
*My issue wasn't with any products, rather how they were handling Kazari distribution. I got a lot of apologies and the SD facemask for free due to that. I don't really know how to feel. I am mostly just glad to get my Kazari (and clothes of course).
Would you order from this company again?
Maybe, there are more clothes I had planned on ordering and I'm sure there will be others. Plus, I want a Paper Sakura Ruby like nothing else. However, the way they gave the Kazari's away makes me question if in stock ordered items will be safe waiting on pre-ordered ones. Maybe this order was just bad timing, but it being my first from them I don't have much else to go on.

Communication was amazing! I accidentally split my order up into two and with a simple email it was solved. Alice's English is perfect and she replies even within three hours sometimes, depending on the time.

For me, I chose EMS shipping so in total it took ten days.

Extremely! Everything is super well made with real pockets and belt loops, and everything is super cute.

The wig was a little off color and the sales pictures don't really show the clothing on dolls, so I wasn't sure to expect from it.

* How was the communication?
Absolutely amazing.I contacted them about the order, around the beginning of December because I needed to ask if it was at all possible to change the colour from Normal Pink resin to Normal Yellow as I'd received the doll I paid for and it wasn't the colour described so the hands would no longer match, responses were immediate and always courteous and helpful. They contacted Doll Legend and both companies said the switch was possible and were happy and able to do so. I've dealt with awesome people before but this company went above and beyond and Doll Legend were amazing as well, I couldn't have asked for better.
* How easy was it to pay?
As easy as anything, I just paid via paypal.
* How long did it take to ship?
Not very long. The package was sent out on the 24th of December. I believe it would have been sent out even quicker, but seeing as the company was about to apply the blushing when I asked about the switch and had to completely remake the hands in a new colour, it took a little longer.
* Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
Nope, everything was fine and wrapped so safely I could barely open it!
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes! The hands pose so well, and they hold the poses, there's no springing into other positions like with my other dolls jointed hands and the resin is thick and they are really well made.

Yes, exactly the same. They are just perfect.

Perfectly satisfied. They were much quicker than I expected, very well made and the poseability is amazing.

It took an incredibly long time, nearly a month before it finally shipped. It arrived after about five weeks. I would be bothered by this, but it's understandable given that they had a lot of sales going on around the holidays, so they were probably pretty busy, and they are a small company, after all. They also sent me a magic eraser for free, I think that's what they do if the order is delayed a lot.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Very! The quality of the clothing is wonderful. It looks even more beautiful in person. The fabric is very durable and it was easy to put on my doll. It fits perfectly and looks absolutely adorable on her. I love the colors and style of this outfit. If anything, it was at a very low price for something this beautiful.

Yes, it did. If anything, it's even better in person! The sweater is a beautiful color in person and the skirt is a lot poofier (which is a good thing).

Just absolutely incredible! I made a few mistakes when ordering:

1. I picked the wrong wig sized - one brief email and they corrected it, absolutely no problem
2. A few days later I noticed there was an ongoing event and I actually qualified but had forgotten to add the event doll to my order. I wrote them, they added it (I paid the additional amount) - no problem!
3. Another few days later I inquired about the status of the order (I was sooo eager to get Freddy xD), and they replied with a brief overview of which items are still in production. They offered to split up my order, all I had to do is pay another 5$ shipping so the remaining items could be sent at a later date via Airmail. One day later my order was shipped with DHL Express (Freddy and most of the stuff I ordered) and reached here within 2 days - which is just incredibly fast !

The in-stock part of my order was shipped ~12 days after ordering.

Absolutely! After the Doll Leaves order I had high expectations and Feddy-2 just blew me away :] ! No seamlines, smooth resin, no defects - everything was in perfect condition! Same goes for the accessories/eyes/wig etc.

* How was the communication? Super simple. Alice always responds promptly, and does her best to make sure everything was okay.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes and no. The items that came from Alice's were wonderful. The doll's face-up was a little lackluster. But that's a gripe for Doll Legend, never Alice's.

It took 4 months from when I ordered to finally receive the, after asking Alice if she could bug Doll Legend again. So, Doll Legend, 2/5 stars. Alice? 6/5. Always a pleasure.

Alice was REALLY nice. The communication was wonderful; every one of my emails were answered within a short period of time, I received shipping notice when my package was shipped out. She also assured me when I was at the brink of over-worrying because the shipping status did not change for at least 3 months! haha. But I can say really, probably the best customer service I've gotten.

3-4 months, but the lag was due to Chinese New Year and the doll company was taking leave, not at all Alice Collections' fault. I selected EMS for shipping, so once the package shipped out, I received it within 5 days. Awesome~

Yes, I was especially pleased with the resin quality of the doll. So smooth, no seam lines, beautiful faceup and body blushing, just perfect. Alice included a magic eraser and a pair of eyes as free gifts, which was really nice & sweet of her.

I ordered Norman on January 8 during Ringdoll's holiday promo. The pants and the Ringdoll clothes were just added at around the start of February.

* How was the communication?
Stellar! I couldn't ask for more, really. Alice knew Silas was going to be my first BJD and she was so patient with allof my questions. I even made the newbie mistake of adding the promo shipping with my order (I thought anything above $100 qualified) and she just sent me an e-mail explaining things. Paid my shipping within the same hour and they began to process it.

The next day, I asked her to switch my initial order into a Norman Light 2.0 as I wasn't really drawn to the first sculpt when I saw owner pics of him. She told me she was just about to forward the orders to Ringdoll and that I emailed her right on time. She switched my order and all was well.

Later on, I asked her if I could add a pair of cutom-sized jeans and the Ringdoll pajamas I saw on the official site. Again, no problems here. The next thing I know I got the shipping notice and got my order around an hour later! Everything was neatly packed inside the Ringdoll box and there was nothing mossing or broken. Alice did a wonderful job packing the box as there was no empty space = no chance of anything tumbling out. You'd think that after three months, something would be forgotten but I've had no such issues with Alice. Perfect communication.

Almost exactly three months. Well within the estimated 3-4 month ETA

YES. I was a bit worried because I ordered the company face up in tan and those don't have sales pictures on the Ringdoll site. I almost cried tears of joy when saw Silas. Even without the eyes and eyelashes, he was so handsome. The face up was perfect and clean throughout and the sculpt was even better in person.

As close to it as can be but in tan.

So satisfied. Can't ask for a better experience/doll.

Communication was wonderful! I got a message the next day letting me know my order was processing and then that my order was processed. The same day later that day I got an update stating that my order was shipped. I also received a message from them shortly after my order was delivered.

I used paypal so really it couldn’t have been easier!

o How long did it take to ship?

Well I ordered it the 30th of August and it arrived the 17th of September so I suppose it took a grand total of 19 days to complete my order from start to finish.

I think I got a steal! Both heads were on sale so I got them for a price I was really happy with.

They looked even better than the pictures!

I didn’t have any problems with the company, they were very responsive throughout the order process and my order was completed in a really timely and professional manor.

Absolutely! I would recommend this company to anyone in the hobby I am so happy with the service and variety in what they sell. They even included a free magic eraser as a gift for my order!

Since this company is a dealer of a sort it wouldn’t really be any different to buy their products second-hand than it would be to buy any of the companies they sell second-hand. That in mind I’m not currently interested in buying Bjds or their accessories second hand at this time due in no part to the wonderful service or quality of the dealer. So in short I don’t think so but I wouldn’t be interested in buying the same products from any company or dealer second-hand.

- The communication was between us was awesome. Alice answered all of my initial question before buying the doll and some care tips as well. Alice replied quickly even though at the beginning it was during Chinese new year. Alice notified me when each of the packages were being shipped. Alice also put into the clothing order to custom fit it to my doll.

Great! Alice is always so sweet and answers me back with 24 hours. I checked in at about 2 months to ask about the status of my order, and was surprised when she told me the Ringdoll body was already there! I was curious if it had been there awhile and why she didn't let me know, but I assume she was holding onto it to send it when the second body had arrived. I admit I wish she had contacted me about it when it first arrived, but when I offered to pay extra shipping to have it shipped early she had no problem sending it on over right away.

Once she shipped the Ringdoll body it got to me (in the US) in only 3 days! Holy smokes it that fast!

Wonderful! I messaged her that I want to buy the jeans (Because they were added in as an event AFTER I bought everything else) and so she told me how to add that additional payment and answered all my other questions (I'm a noob so I had to ask about shipping and wait times)

Only two days through DHL! Which is impressive because DHL doesn't even operate in my area! The processing time was less than 5 weeks.

Definitely! This is only a dealer so the prices match up to what the listing price is supposed to be, however, the events and sales they have made it better! I got the hamster for only $1, free shipping because I ordered over $100 in accessories! And those aren't even company events, those are just events from the website!

I was most all of them! Except for one of the shoes and the socks... The shoes were so small that it won't even fit and it even tore the socks... The socks aren't very well made but it's okay! Great, I was a little antsy when it had been a couple months and sent an email for a checkup, and they answered promptly and were very reassuring.

My order shipped on August 12th and arrived on August 15th! Overall a 4 month wait.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, although I was surprised that the resin was rougher than the (really smooth)resin on my older Dollzone minis. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I know it varies between companies.

Yes, the faceup was VERY slightly different(barely noticeable) but as the sales pics are from years ago it wasn't a surprise.

When I asked about the wait(I wasn't concerned, just antsy to get the doll as I've wanted it for a long time), they asked Ringdoll for an update and were quick to update me that my doll would be ready in a week! I wasn't expecting them to be able to give me an update on my specific order since another dealer I've worked for sends orders out in batches so I assumed AC did too, but AC actually sends the orders individually when ordered and were able to give me that information!
